I'm gonna say it again– hell yeah, sentoumaru! Wanted to see a bit more, but the way he just slammed his axe on fluffy's face like he was an irritating fly was damn satisfying. I'll be looking forward to seeing this guy again. Probably in a few years/months, but what the hell.

Sailing away chapter's so near.. I can't wait to see how Nami's going to navigate Thousand Sunny, esp how they all going to make it GO underwater.

This chapter is really great. Finally Fluffy and co. are gone and Rayleigh appeared for a "good bye" scene. Sooo good. ^^ I have a Lougetown feeling and that was one of my favourite few chapters in the earlier stage of the story.
Next chapter: Reunion and setting sail to Fishman Island! Woohoo!

Aggh. It's 2:00 AM and I've only just finished a huge project I was working on. But now I get to wind down with the chapter. Niiiiice…..

I'm a tiny bit disappointed though: I was hoping that Luffy would keep his goofy Gol .D mustache on the entire time -- through the fights, the tears, everything. It just seemed like such an Oda thing to do.

I really dig the entrance of the Pacifista: the way the head of the PX in front breaks through the top panel and also how his massive body takes up something like 2/3rds of the space in the middle panel, and registers as just a huge blot of black when you first glimpse it. Makes them seem that much more menacing.

In also like how in an odd sort of way, Sentoumaru is complimenting Luffy -- by saying that the fake is worthless compared to him. So even though they're enemies, there's a sort of respect: Luffy is a higher caliber and more worthy enemy.

Save the bentos! Don't let them get destroyed in the fighting!
(Good to see that Luffy still has his priorities in order).

I like how Zoro and Sanji are the only ones there to see Luffy's oath. Helps to reinforce their bonds and the idea that they're really his right and left shields. Their reaction is nice too.

Agreed. And also how he's the first to see their new strengths, so he knows that they're ready as well. I can't tell if they saw his attack though or not – it looks like they might have just missed it. Even so though, they would have seen the aftermath and figured out what happened.

They've had two years of intense training with people whose fighting styles are different from their own. If they HAVEN'T learned a few new moves and techniques to supersede their old ones then I'd be really shocked. I mean, Sanzen Sekai was Zoro's strongest move back before he even know how to do a proper Cannon … it's probably like Tora Giri to him now.

Yeah, the smile is ok, but something about his face seems really off. Glad i wasn't imagining things.

His chin is pointier than usual and his jaw usually has a more prominent jawline – it's not as curved as it is here.

Actually, I've noticed that in the last couple of chapters, the inking overall has had a very calligraphic quality to it that wasn't there before -- the lines are of varying thicknesses when they used to be more-or-less-even.
So I'm wondering if Oda has a new inker on his crew.

Maybe Aohige or Greg can confirm it one way or the other for us.

Rayleigh used to be very cautious about not showing up in front of crowds (esp marines) so that nobody would know that the Dark King was about on Saboady. Now he's shown up enough times there to guarantee to the marines he lives there.

So I wonder if the marines will make a move on him. I don't think they will… bet there's piles of shit in the New World that need taken care of. It's probably a big risk to send an Admiral to the first half of the GL at this time.

We've already seen Usopp and Nami's powers. We've seen Luffy's, Sanji's, and Zoro's. We've kinda seen Brook's power (music wise). I'm talking about him rallying the crowd to confront the Marines, though, this could have just been the actions of pissed off fans angry at their concert being interrupted. Could be, don't think so.

That leaves Franky, Robin, and Chopper to show off some moves. There are enough Marines and pirates to go around for that. Hey, the SH's that already showed off some of their fighting skills can even go for another round.

I've always resisted spoilers… it makes the actual chapter a whole lot better. I don't see why people want to waste their time discussing over poor quality pictures and incorrect information.

Also, is anyone else really starting to like Sentoumaru? He's badass.

For me, it wasn't "adorableness" – though he did look like some sort of Maurice Sendak character, now that you mention it -- so much as how great it would have been to see the otherwise serious scene of Luffy reaffirming his vow to be Pirate King played out in a Gol D. mustache.

It would have been so profound and so silly at the same time that our brains would have exploded in trying to decide how to process it.

EDIT: $abZ -- the reason why some of us like spoilers is because it gives us a chance to make some wild speculations and guesses about what's going to happen. Also, it makes the time between chapters go faster. ;) But I can understand why people avoid them. Especially on chapters that are likely to be "epic".

What I am most excited about this chapter is, Luffy when doing Gear 2nd seems to isolate it in just his left arm only, and doesn't need to get into his crouched stance to pump the blood throughout his body. Pretty effective now actually.

Tom shouting that he's proud of helping Roger in chp 400, quote from Roger in chp 100, moustache in 600, Rayleigh introduced in 500, Robin talking about Roger in Skypiea in chapter 301 (Damn, missed by one). Only chapter 200 misses one.

The PXs seem to have a record of every bounty in the one piece. They were able to easily identify Fluffy.
They might also have some X-ray vision because they manage to identify Luffy under the disguise.

It didn't really hit me till I read this version. Luffy is declaring, in front of marines and pirates, while talking to the first mate of the Gol D Roger, his intent to be the Pirate King. And Rayleigh doesn't say anything against it. Really, anyone who get out, or just survives, will talk about it forever.

Hrm, read it again, still really not liking the partial Gear Second activation. Hope they explain it rather than just pass it off as "he trained and got stronger" because the mechanics for Gear Second shouldn't allow only partial body activation as we know it.

Okay first of all about Sentamarou.
In my opinion he is now a marine because he was just for a specific time Vegapunks bodyguard to learn how to control the PXs(know their functions etc)
That hes now a complete marine is okay, but iam curious which rank he has and why hes still wearing Vegapunks sign on his chest.
Also does Vegapunk now have another bodyguard or just a bunch of Pacifistas protecting him?
By the way, who wants to catch\kill Vegapunk..only Dragon comes to my mind.

Now about Luffy using his gear2 in a differnet way.
In my opinion he is now using it more effective.
Instead of pumping his blood through his whole body he seems now to be able to control that pumping process in differnet parts of his body(like fist,leg etc).
By that hes not using all the time his whole gear2 strenght on his whole body, hes using it more effectivily on just parts of his body to lower the side effects of this dangerous technique and to concentrate his whole strenght at once in this one body part.
I think hes able to do so via his good use of Haki..hes concentrating there Haki to hold that strenght just in that one part.

About Sanji and Zoro…their attack on PX looks awesome.
Sanji seems to use his attack without spinning around anymore before it to heat up his leg.
Zoro was in TB not able to scartch the metal PXs are made of, now he`s able to slice them easily...impressive.

One serious question even if it unlikely… We know for sure that Zoro and Luffy haven't surpassed their masters. But what about Iva?

Iva was kicking and winking at Kuma but hasn't done as much damage Sanji's kick. I know Kuma is a lot of stronger than a PX. But the material is the same

Maybe because Rayleigh and Mihawk are such top tiers which can`t be surpassed that early in the stroy or else the rest of the journey would be boring.
Iva on the other hand is sure strong but not on such a high level like the other two.
So Sanji could surpass him without being too strong by that.
But their fighting style is rly different and i bet Iva has more fighting expierence so that Sanji may be stronger but could still lose to Iva.
