I'm going to need to read another translation before I can really post my thoughts on the chapter. I only have a couple things to say, Drake was pretty awesome here. I like the idea of one of the supernovas having the balls to do something like this. It seems like all the supernovas are just as crazy as Luffy is haha. Chopper's little talking out loud thing was hilarious

I'm so happy to see Blackbeard in this chapter. I'm loving his interaction with his crew.
My mind keeps on going back to Kuma when I reread this chapter. It'll be really interesting to see if he sent the Strawhats to their own seperate islands on his own accord or if he was acting under orders/guidelines from the Marines. Even if the online transcriptions make it seem as if he didn't know exactly where he'd sent the crew.
Some people mentioned this in the spoiler thread, but its a good development to see Chopper break out of his cute mascot role for a bit and focus on being a badass doctor.
Between Luffy's soon-to-be Haki training and Sanji's newkama cuisine, he's going to get a massive power boost.
EDIT: And why are people pissed that the translation had Bonney say 'fuck'? Is it because the original script didn't say fuck?

And besides, I actually for one think that characters should use more profanity. It makes the level and state of their emotions (like anger, grief, or defiance) more easy to understand rather than euphemisms (such as "darn" or "shucks") instead. Seriously.

Overall, great chapter, a shame I got fucking spoiled nehindiehiasjdosadkisaojkasdacxfcasxca**
I was weary of any sort of training arc, but the way this is set up looks good. The crew members are not only trying to get physically stronger, but also hone their particular skills (as in, for their ship position.) Sanji is fighting, but is also getting a recipe that will make the crew stronger. Chopper's research will help him with him transformations, as well as make him a better doctor. For the rest I'm thinking:
Nami - learns more from the weather wizards; this will both help her fighting as well as make her a better navigator
Brook - perfect his music "fighting"; perhaps he'll even be able to free himself
Franky - make upgrades on his own body, and incorporate some of Vegapunk's plans into the Thousand Sunny
Usopp - work off all that fat; hone his marksmanship; continue to overcome his cowardice
Robin - go back to the revolutionaries for sure - hopefully meet up with Dragon; she can learn new techniques or weaponry, but the most important thing is knowledge - both about the Void Century and about the revolutionaries
I don't think Zoro will pick up on the message, but he'll inadvertently follow it, and continue fighting against the mandrills.
Oda is really making fun of us: even Zoro is supposed to have understood the message, yet we have still to find out :-\ I mean, there are several theories, but no clear answer yet. The 2 year gap may be the good one though, as Chopper and Sanji resolved to stay. :'-(
So in two weeks we will have one chapter or two showing what the other SH have decided… then what ? Straight to the time when they get their packages prepared to come back ? I don't think we will see how each of them is making progress !? Else we can wait another one year...
It's dangerous for teach personally because of the way he fights though. He always takes attacks, but he can't do this with Sakazuki.
akainu is a friggen admiral who fisted fire fist ace through the chest. even if the blackbeard pirates did put a fight, the death of an admiral would cause a shitload of attention towards the BB pirates, and would probably be hunted off the face of the OP world

He had no worries about all 3 admirals and the strongest of the Marines being present. Not to mention all the pirates. The reasons why he backed down then were Shanks appearance and he got what he came for, but he was more than ready to fight it out with the Marines and New World crews.
Blackbeard is looking for attention not running from it. He already has the heat of the entire World Government on his ass for I don't know…freeing Level 6 prisoners and betraying the WG? He claims to be the strongest contender to Pirate King and openly challenges anyone against him. I don't see why killing Akainu would make a big of a difference. It's like adding a rock of trouble on top of a mountain. And as stated before he didn't seem afraid of fighting with anyone at the war. But maybe because they were injured...yes, that's probably it. :ninja:

I'm seeing a awesome Oda time-skip unravel here, Not just some shitty naruto time-skip or naruto/bleach training arc, I would be really disappointed if Oda wasted pages on a training arc. How he is showing it right now is just fine, I'd say he'll show us each SH way of developing then the time-skip occurs they reunite and while they encounter new fights they'll have flashbacks.These flashbacks will be during the fights on what they learn back then when they were separated and improving their moves/skills and implant them like so during the fight. I see that more one piece like then seeing chapters on them training…..
It's been far to long of separation already to do a training arc then reunite them. War is over next thing will be the reunion hoping for epic 600th chapter one piece color page reunion!

Other than that you made good point.
Akainu's ability is too dangerous for Blackbeard's fighting style. He might hope that the WB's pirates kept Akainu occupied when he fought Sengoku in the war, but now he can't. Plus he got injured. Even if he managed to beat Akainu he would receive some serious damages, like losing an arm or two. Or his face will even get uglier (both literally and imply).

I really, really doubt it'll be 2 years. For one, that time frame came from the retarded "3d2y" tattoo theory (even though, you know, no one can read what it actually says.) Also, the story's been going on for less than a year. They've progressed from struggling with Buggy to taking out a couple of shichibukai in that time. There's no way it's going to take that long to train. I predict a skip somewhere in between a month and half a year.

Moria has stopped being a warlord. Thus warlords would lose more effect than they already have as it would be the third warlord to drop out in a short time space. Pretty much this. He can take hits and all, but from magma? When he couldn't take quakes/Buddha-blasts? Sorry, but he's not gonna risk losing half his face to Akainu right now, whether he's looking for trouble or not, I'm sure he knows he has limits after having some humility knocked into him by WB and Sengoku.

Probably the best shortest way to describe current blackbeard. I like seeing blackbeard running from akainu. Shows he himself still has a ways to go and also shows the Admirals will be dealing some justice out in the new world 
and are still to be feared as the highest threat from the marines.
From what we have seen of Blackbeard he is a thinking man and only engages in a fight when hes the one being attacked(Ace, Luffy, Bonney most likely, and Magellan) or when he has something to gain from it. It might not have to do with him not being able to take on Akainu, it might simply be the risk outweighing the gain here.
So I'm pretty sure its Sabo bossing around Doflamingo. I wondered how and when he would reappear and this makes perfect sense, him being a world noble. I agree, not much to go on appearance wise except for a hat but it feels right. I'm curious whether he'll be an enemy or ally down the road but it would be a great way to get an inside track on the Gorousei.

I see alot of potential for Moria now. He used to be a rival of Kaidou but now he's just a lazy over confident waste of space. I'm guessing he started getting lazy when he received his title or when he teamed up with hogback and realised he could create zombie armies. Now he has been kicked up the arse maybe just maybe.. he will become the Moria that deserved the title in the 1st place.

This chapter took forever to come out but hey, its great to have it.
So…it does seem like we're preparing for a time-skip (around or at 600 I guess) with Chopper and Sanji taking on new challenges. And...somehow it's sad that Bonney got "captured" by Akainu but she does seem to have some importance to the WG...though somehow I think Law's lazy attitude on OP is going to bite him in the butt eventually. (even if it's essentially "let the rest destroy each other and go in at the end")
