I was all set to be mad on behalf of megaman fans, but then I realized that this is hilarious. Capcom treating Megaman badly has become a self-parody at this point. I think the next move to to give this guy his own game. And then make the box-art look like a very japanece chibi megaman.
Street Fighter x Tekken & Tekken x Street Fighter

It all comes full circle.
Hell I now want that game far more than I ever wanted MML3.
-
Honestly, if Megaman wasn't being treated like shit for the last 5 years, this would be a genious move.
It feels like a troll now.
Yeah, it just seems like a giant "fuck you" to everyone who's mad about Dash 3 getting canned. :/
-
Nicki Minaj shrug
No clue. All I know is the 360 people ain't getting them, and Capcom has already apologized that they won't be getting ANY exclusive characters it seems. Whatever trolling Mega Man fans THINK Capcom is doing PALES in comparison to the trolling being done to 360 fans.
Capcom has given the 360 fans enough, nearly every game they have made this gen has been developed on 360 friendly tech and just ported over to ps3 after. PS3 owners always got the shaft in that regard so its about time something turns in their favor.
-
As much as Capcom sucks, the lack of exclusives isn't their fault for once.
Microsoft wasn't interested in doing it.
-
Actually, I don't blame Capcom or NRS for it at all. Zenigame is right. Microsoft is a real pain in the ass over that sort of stuff.
-
Reveals Ogre,Jin,Bison and Akuma.
-
So, Is it the final roster ? Or other characters will be added.
I can't wait to see how Akuma's super arts look like.
-
Loving that artwork.
-
-
JAMES CHEEEEN!!!!
XD
Love his commentary!
-
The game is looking really solid.
-
It is actually, plus it's making the Tekken fighters look VERY legit within the SF Universe.
Holy shit at Heihachi and Raven o_o
-
That Rolento looks dangerous. I wonder what happened to that Rolento player in the last few rounds, he stopped doing that block string completely…
Also... WHY IS EVERYONE HEIHACHI?
WHY IS EVERYONE ROLENTO?
-
WTF is this… Probably we will have a Super SF vs Tekken for PS3 and XBOX as well... Geez Capcom
-
You know what's the difference between UMvC3 and THAT?
I want all twelve of those characters.
-
I'm sure we are gonna get a goty ed of it but there making this a one disc game with a bunch of DLC.
12 new characters i would say 4 per month and than we hae DLC gems and outfits. Game gonna be supported for a long while.
-
Yeah, I'm guessing they're all gonna be DLC throughout the time up to the Vita release.
I know Guy and Cody were planned DLC for the consoles.
-
Got the game friday. It's hella good.
-
Unfortunately, Dan is not in the game…
How could you Capcom ?
-
Yeah, so everyone is freaking out cause pretty much all twelve characters were found in the game disc through hacking, and all of them are at least 75% done.
shrug
Like, when did we NOT expect this?
-

Stay free CAPCOM fans.
(Though the lie about Blanka being "unfinished" was a nice touch.)
-
I'm not going to bitch. I'm getting the characters either way since I love pretty much all of them.
I find this far less annoying than UMvC3, to be honest.
-
IGN gave it a 9.0

Just because it's expected doesn't mean we still can't be upset about it. People are too willing to accept this as "ah shucks, Capcom is at it again!".
-
From a maketing perspective, this is a bad move from Capcom cause they are decreasing the perceived of value of their brand, the quality of their products and they are increasing their prices.
Maybe its good for short term sales but their reputation is taking backlash nd that's worse.
-

Oh people have bitched since vanilla SFIV, and for good reason, but at the end of the day they still make the games that people want to play, people buy them and there really isn't any motivation to change their DLC practices.
But like I've said before, Capcom isn't the only one guilty of doing this. I can think of several games that have had equally bad or even worse practices.
-
Meh, ill just wait for the eventual second release from how it sounds anyway. From what i can tell id say its gonna be just like SS4, in the sense that this game will be able to get a DLC update for those who have the original version (like AE) and there will be a new physical copy containing everything for those who were still on the fence. I dont really care for capcoms business practices, but its to be expected from them at this point and the patterns of how they operate are easy to see.

I actually kind of done with Capcom until they stop. They haven't made me thrilled with any of their games for a while now.
-

But the thing is, I see this in the same light as any form of DLC. Skarlet was partially on disc for MK9, and few people bitch about that.
Either way, it doesn't bother me at all.
-
Not to mention the alternate skins for the 3 ninjas, being marketed as "retail exclusives".
-
UMvC3 took a game that I paid $69.99 for from a pre-order so I could get two characters (one of which being one of my favorite video game characters of all time with one of the worst movesets in the game, and the other being a comic book villain that has only been in about 10 comics) for free a month after the game comes out and completely made it obsolete in every way 10 months after the game was released.
SFxT took two fighting games that I absolutely adore and put some of the best characters in the series into the game, and honestly, has yet to give me a reason to possibly complain until now. And honestly, DLC is not complaint worthy. Especially when characters you can buy are some of the best they could have chosen for DLC. Only characters I'd complain about missing is Jun and Lee.

Pff! Mileena's MK2, Skarlet's MK2, and Skarlet's secondary costume are saved on the disc. Those aren't going to be DLC, but instead, exclusives for the PS Vita version. Hell, Skarlet and Mileena are my secondary mains.
And considering the fact that the PS Vita version of MK9 is something I legitimately want, I have no reason to bitch.

They already said 10 times that there won't be another on disc version.

I could have sworn id heard them say that about MVC3 and SF4 as well. Well anyway im gonna hold off on it regardless, at least for a while anyway

Search for it. But I nrver heared about it

I think they said that SF4 wouldn't have DLC characters. And that turned out to be true.

http://www.gamespot.com/news/capcom-explains-street-fighter-x-tekken-on-disc-dlc-6364712
Capcom explains the DLC. But more importantly goes on record saying there will be no "super" version, etc..
My only problem is the time schedule for the DLC. Apparently it will be offered "soon after" the Vita version launch. Which is in the fall.
And obviously no word on how it will be released. Knowing Capcom, i'd say it'll offer them up individually or in packs. I'd like to think it could be two separate bundles for each company, but who knows.I'm with Insider in that, I really like the choices for the characters… but it sucks waiting for this... and with 12 could end up being costly.
And honestly, I could see this as being more of a slap in the face to consumers if Capcom were to be offering up the DLC as day one or sooner. But they are making us wait. Yeah I understand the holdups about the content being on the actual product people bought... but this seems to be the trend to make downloading and cross player integration more seamless.
I don't feel good about it, but then again... Capcom could be doing the online pass thing... which hurts a different type of gamer in a different way.
UPDATE
On a separate note, can someone here tell me if the gems included in the special edition of the game are worth it? Like seriously?
Reason being that at the store I work at, I had the Special Edition pre ordered and long story short, some inventory issues arouse and I decided to make the paragon choice of allowing a customer and fellow employee get their copies, forcing me to wait for an extra to turn up for me. I don't feel like explaining, but I have a completely rung through receipt for the game.
I have mass effect 3 to hold me over for the time being. But i'm an impatient person and I like my loose ends tied up. I don't mind taking a hit for the team, especially for two fellow gamers (an employee i'm friends with and a customer who's good people), but I just wanted to know from you guys if the extra gem DLC that comes with the special edition is worth it. Cause I just want the game at this point, and if it isn't worth my time… i'll just return my money and get a normal copy.
-
So we can put the whining to a rest?
-
This post is deleted!

I got my copy of Street Fighter X Tekken and it's awesome :D
Cole is great in this game
My teams are Dhalsim and Yoshimitsu,Rufus and Bob,Rolento and Kuma -

I find Skarlet to be different as she was already in the game as Khan's prisoner so if her character model or w/e is in the game it'd make sense. If her movelist and everything was there then it's a different story (I didn't follow this story that well).
I'm just bothered that if they're ready to go day one then they should simply be in the game.
-
2v2 is fun as hell
-
I dunno if the gems are worth it as I've yet to customize anyone and barely notice a difference anyway. I even have a code for pre-order gems that I just haven't redeemed.
-
This game is bomb.
-
So far, gems don't seem to have the major of an effect or control of the game. I'm sure there is something you can exploit, but nothing major so far.

Exactly, I don't change my strategy or gameplay because I'm slightly stronger or faster.

I got my copy in the end.
Redeemed the code and spent maybe 5 minutes in the customization screen. I just don't feel it. I wanna fight.
I was at my friends house, and a few of his characters have a few set-ups… and I didn't notice a damn thing.
-
I've found its better to specialize rather than balance out when it comes to gems.
I have a set up that gives Rolento some extra speed boosts and its really effective.

Is Rolento as hard to keep out of your face as the previous builds make it seem?

Is Rolento as hard to keep out of your face as the previous builds make it seem?
In a sense.
Rolento is more about confusing your opponent, flipping around and controlling the field, so he's like a combination of Bison and Vega where he has a lot offense from above and front with his roll attacks, sliding kick and rod strikes but barely anything in the anti-air department.
So by giving him gems to focus on speed it not only complements his style but it can help should I choose to be more aggressive and get in my opponents face.
