No but seriously, I've always wanted Luffy to use Gear 3rd on his entire body and become a giant. If he can make one part of his body the size of a giant, it should be possible to make his entire body relatively proportional at a slightly smaller* size, like Nightmare Luffy. Kinda stupid, I guess.

So for some reason, after years of experience in their fields, Sanji and Chopper won't have a clue as to what's edible. If they were to lack knowledge, I'm sure Robin could compliment with books easily.
And for some reason, the monstrously powerful crew members will have a hard time hunting or fishing. Dude, these guys can take on seakings.
And I doubt anyone on the crew would have a hard time killing spaniards.It's definitely not needed.

Where in my post does it say that this is going to be a position of the crew. I will make the argument that it is a good bases for a crew member to join in the new world. Seeing how it one of the few position that is noted to be filled by someone native to the new world and not a British colonialist or a former member of the queens navy . Now since we are heading in to the NEW WORLD. Why not base crew member off people from the real world new world. you don’t have to call it a striker you call it a scout which was commonly aboard ships to it just saying some with knowledge of the new world will be a good addition to the crew

True, but two others had filled a foreshadowed role: Chopper and Brook. Luffy wanted them initially because they were cool, but they filled a role that had been foreshadowed. Only Usopp, Zoro, and Robin didn't have a foreshadowed role (though Yasopp could be very subtle foreshadowing for Usopp and Poneglyphs for Robin). So the whole role argument is valid, even if it's largely shots in the dark until a need arises.
Bad ideas for roles are limited only to things already mostly handled: identifying edible foods should be something Chopper and Sanji handle, quartermaster duties are largely handled by Nami, others have been shown fishing for food so striker doesn't seem needed, courier/messenger shouldn't be an issue since Franky apparently has den den mushis (going off his mention of giving Sanji one in the latest chapter).

To clarify what I said earlier, it's not that a role is needed to join the crew (Zoro, Vivi, Usopp), but that speculation on what roles could be left isn't automatically bad and is only bad when it is a job already handled, or in the case of something like "seamstress", a job that's irrelevant (since when have clothes been handled realistically in this manga?).
