Do you have the machines where you put in a coin and recieve a small toy in a plastic capsule? It would be a partial-fix for a Log Pose, although you might be better off getting two and taking the rounded tops off of each to get a nearly round final product. I'd drill a hole in each cap, thread a bit of elasticy thread with the needle on it (paper should do) into the holes, tie, and it will hold the halves together and keep the needle in the centre if you place it right.

Oooh Omnichild, you found the thing I use for the logpose! That watch band looks great for it! For the pointer thing, I highly recommend clear or white thread, and just any kind of white cardboard. You can color the red tip with a marker. And happy sewing on the top! Just make sure you have some kind of support under the dancing girl top….or you might have something showing that'll make the boys very happy, but I doubt you'll care for it all too much ^_~
It's weird...my craftstore didn't have any of those balls last time I was there x_x (or maybe they were sold out?) Glad you were able to find it, and provide it for Funky XD

Well slow work on my cosplays… I have the fabric for Nami's cape, dye and more fabric for Nami's skirt... SHOULD be getting a wig AND shoes soon...
I decided I can do Arabasta Usopp pretty easy and cheaply HAZA.

I've finally finished Christmas shopping, and now I can focus on searching for those clothes for cosplaying! :happy: Happiness abounding!
Two questions.
1. What looks better as Luffy's pants: short jeans or jeans that you cut short with scissors? (Sorry for the stupid question)
2. I'm interested in creating a heart-shaped <thing>to cover up my eye to resemble Sanji when he's love struck. Does this sound like a good/interesting idea or a stupid idea that I should just avoid doing all together?

These pictures suck ass, and we all kind of look disheveled to boot…They were taken at god knows what time Saturday night. I'm over all happy with my Nami costume, particularly the climatact...but I need to fix the circles and condition my wig. Steve's Zoro swords are really amazing, at some point I need to take close up pictures and post them. Monty...is the hottest Sanji on earth, I heart his new wig and can't wait to see it fixed up a bit more.
As for Jeff/Luffy...I think you need to see him in action to truly appreciate him:
Anime USA 05's One Piece skit (210 megs, sorry, best I could get)This was our fourth One Piece skit, it's the fourth one we've brought home prizes for. I don't know how many of you have seen our previous ones (I can post one or two if people want to see and haven't.) We typically do perverted humor, sometimes involving yaoi gags with guys kissing. So…yeah...that's what the little in joke at the end was about. We figured after 3 previous award winning skits, we were entitled. XD
Oh, and I look like shit in the clip, at least what you can see of me. =P Ah well. That is all.

2. I've seen someone do the heart eye with regular cardboard or paper. They put it on only for pictures. If you wanted to, maybe you could get heart glasses? -

If he's not handy, typically I try to find a bag that semi goes. I have a One Piece tote bag I usually take around with my One Piece costumes.

I remember working with a girl who had this problem and kept bragging about it as well as how she fixed it. Her hair was long and grew a lot, so she would always cut it so that it would remain the same size (Looks like you'll have to do some cutting, but keeping it the same size shouldn't be too much trouble, right?). Then she'd braid it, place it all on her head, put a hairnet over it to keep it in place, and then put on a wig. This method is kind of stupid, but it worked for her.

My question: Vivi's dancer girl skirt is that pale purple or pale blue? I am leaning towards blue. But her top looks like a dark purple. And for some reason pale blue and dark purple seem like weird colour combinations. Maybe it is just me.

I started working on a Dancer Girl Vivi for a friend of mine - I used royal violet for the panel/top and pale blue for the skirt. Reasoning? The purple was very dark, and looked awesome with the pink trim.
Of course, this costume is languishing in production hell, soooo… 0_o

My boyfriend and I will be actually doing that sometime in the future. We just want some practice first to make sure we can make the things of highest quality. And the store said they would have the ornament thingys by the end of this week. So I am going to go in today and tomorrow to check and if they don't have it, I will throw a fit. (Seriously, I have been waiting at least two weeks now. Poopheads.)
