Haahaa Seta those pics rock XD it's kinda like yaoi but not? X3
One Piece Cosplay!

-
Fin Fish: Beautiful as always!
Thank you!
Katsucon… yeah, I planned to go originally, but I really don't think I can afford to miss class or... buy a plane ticket, so that's probably out. Which should actually be good in the long run, because that means more money for A-kon in the summer!
-
CaptainAWB - LOL, because it's yaoi…but...not?
Omnichild - ROFL! That was my exact sentiments when I did it. I'm a huge Zoro/Nami fan (obviously) but I also adore Sanji/Nami and Sanji/Zoro is a guilty pleasure of mine. This was a weird culmination of the three. I was so hoping someone would come up to me and say "Why are you Zolo with orange hair?!" so I could tell them I was 'Zolo' and Nami's love child from another dimension. Thankfully or unfortunately depending on how you look at it, it never happened.
Takinawa - Ooooh, wow, that is a really intense green for a spray. It does look great! My beau Monty uses a gel, and sometimes it comes out too light in photos.
Funky - Ha, yes...Is it yaoi? Is it het? The world may never know XD!In any case, I want to kick myself. I drove to my parents house to get their camera (since mine....don't get me started, it's MIA) and took all this time taking pictures in the really bad light of my hallway...only to not have the right kind of USB cord to transfer them x_x But yeah, I made Nami's new climatact from Water 7. Because this one doesn't defy proportions, I was actually able to make it come apart and go back together in three pieces. It's by no means perfect, nor was it super hard to do, but I had fun making it, and it's a lot of fun to play with!
So, pictures tonight after I get back from my mom's x_X
-
Seta Jenny: Aw that is sad. I would have probably ran up to you squealing about Zoro and then when I realized you had orange hair, walk away muttering stuff about how dumb I am to have thought you were Zoro and wonder who you were really cosplaying.
=
Hmm I realized I spelled Ginny's name wrong. I sorry. And for some reason the edit button is not working for me. pokes at the edit button
-
Omnichild - Aw, heh! I was happy with Zoro or Nami coments. It's not a serious cosplay, so I really wasn't expecting anything at all!
Edit - And don't sweat my name! It sounds a bit like Jenny when you say it anyway. Just with an i.
There was a Sanji (who wasn't my boyfriend) that went all "Nami~swan" on me…if I hadn't been looking for the bathroom I should have gotten all in character as Zoro and had some fun!
Oh yeah, is anyone going to Anime USA this weekend? We have another One Piece skit planned. This one involves women's underwear. If you're there...be sure to come and see!
-
@Seta:
CaptainAWB - LOL, because it's yaoi…but...not?
No, it's because you're laying on his….................................... area.
-
Ginny: I wish I could see your Cosplay skit. But I am not going to Anime USA. pouts Post pictures please!
-
CaptainAWB1 - Ha! We tend to do that ^_~
omnichild - Aw, there aren't too many people going from here. =\ Hopefully someone will tape it.All right…Unfortunately, the colors didn't come out true to life, and I look pretty damn retarded, but here are a few pictures of the climatact, and my Nami costume this far:
Ugh, the colors look off. I hope I can get some better shots at the con - hopefully in day light. (My wig especially seems to come out better that way.) I'll have the black details on the skirt by then. At first I was going to alter the shoes, but they seem to be semi decent and probably wouldn't look as good if I glued black vinyl on them. The climatact majorly needs a sealer put on it as well. But it'll hopefully get through this con okay, and I can improve on it later.
I should get to cutting the circles out…
-
I've never seen a Nami cosplay with the climatact! Very nice!
-
Great Nami as always Seta Ginny, I was lucky enough to see you and a Zoro back at Anime Next 04, I looked for you in 05…
-
@Seta:
CaptainAWB1 - Ha! We tend to do that ^_~
Uh, okay.
@Seta:
Whoa! Owuga, owuga! Me like! Me like very much! <3
:adore::adore::adore::adore::adore::adore:
EDIT-
Glad you weren't offended. I'm just paranoid of offending people. I guess you could call me nuts. -
USWAP - I have seen some really awesome climatacts (one is linked to a few pages back.) Although I hadn't seen any of her new one yet, but I'm sure they'll start poping up.
Phear - Sorry I missed you at 05, we were there (although I was in the room finishing my FMA constumes for a hunk of it x_X) But we WERE in the cosplay if you saw it - the skit with Luffy in the dress. We were also at the One Piece dub panel next to EGX and Robo Blue. Were you dressed up, maybe I spotted you! In any case, we'll be there next year for sure (we live about 15 minutes away!)
CaptainAWB1 - Aw, don't sweat it, I'm flattered! Thank you! And don't sweat the appropriate thing from before - Trust me, the only thing I see as inappropriate are the girls who run up to people at conventions and practically tackle pounce them without asking permission. If I can deal with that happening to my boyfriend, I think he can handle seeing someone compliment me. ^_~ -
Phew Thank goodness. :happy:
-
Ginny: Beautiful Cosplay! I really wish I could see it in person. Maybe someday I will get to travel out that way.
-
Perhaps I'll give cosplaying a try. Although I don't have the time or the money to begin now.
Perhaps I'll have a costume done in time for Comic-Con 2006 in July. Or maybe I'll just make a costume to show it off here. Maybe I'll cosplay as Luffy, he seems easy.
Who is the easiest for a first-time cosplayer to cosplay as?
(BTW, I will NOT cosplay as Franky! My body is my own business!) -
Holy crap, Ginny!! The Perfect Climatact!! That's freaking awesome!^^
-
Thats cool Seta~ I like the clima tact it kicks ass XD how long did it take to make?
-
Omnichild - Thanks hon, you should definitely try to come to an upper-to-mid east coast con sometime!
CaptainAWB1 - For a first time cosplayer, Luffy is extremely easy and cheap. My friend Jeff who does Luffy with my group from time to time has a really nice Luffy costume he threw together, all from stuff you can easily get in a craft store and Salvation army (if you don't already have em lying around the house.) He'd never done cosplay seriously before (unless the ghetto Shinji we made on Halloween counts!) and his Luffy turned out quite well.
Dude - Thank you! Let's hope I'll be seeing you at a con soon so we can pose and take pictures XD! Oh yeah - we're going to be at Muvico tonight for the Harry Potter Premiere at midnight, no chance you could make it, could you?
Funky - Thanks muchly! It took me most of the day Monday, I'd say I was working on it from 12-7ish (plus getting supplies in the morning) but the most time consuming part was the painting - I had to wait for one side to try before doing the other, and it needed several coats.Bah, work soon…then we leave for AUSA tonight! Weee!
-
Is there anybody who knows how to make sogeking's brand new staff/weapon/slingshot because it looks to complicated to make for me at least.
-
The climatact looks awesome, Ginny. <3

Ahh, unfortunately, I'm not on break yet. I saw HP here in Salisbury. (kicked ass)
-
So I saw this t-shirt a while back of a pimping pigeon, and I was like, "OH GOD HATTORI!" so I bought it. XD;
Yeah, Lucci knows it's rockin'.
-
I got it! I could have my grandfather's bird cosplay as Hattori! I'll just give him a tiny bottle of alcohol. j/k.
-
Haahaaa kick ass shirt Fin XD it oddly suits Lucci very well… pinks his colour.
-
Went to a couple of stores to check out some clothes for cosplaying. A single strawhat costs around $60!!!!!
Looks like I won't be posting pics for a couple of YEARS!
-
I got a straw hat for $3. o_O.;
-
This post is deleted!
-
I looked through my closet of clothes for special events. I found some clothes that could fit how Sanji. So I think I'll cosplay as him as well as Luffy.
EDIT-
A strawhat for three bucks? Where?EDIT-
Anybody gonna be cosplaying at Comic-Con 2006? -
I looked through my closet of clothes for special events. I found some clothes that could fit how Sanji looked with his blue shirt (forgot what arc it was from) but I'm not quite sure. Could someone post a full-body pic of him in that outfit so I can see if my clothes are similar? I checked on the internet and I've been unable to find one.

-
I don't use e-bay. I don't trust online auctions.
-
The Awesomeness of the Climatact! :D
I got a straw hat for $3. o_O.;
!!!
I got for 8 and it looked like a freakin' cowboy hat. -__-;
-
Its really funny how hard it is to find a STRAW-HAT something THAT simple… god knows I've tried to find one --'
-
I Found a pic of Sanji in the blue shirt, so you don't need to post a pic. My shirt doesn't have strips, but I can find one. Also, I have pants and shoes that match the costume almost perfectly. So I just need the shirt and a wig.
Maybe I can get my uncle to make a wig. He has a job making clothes and wigs for movies.
I'll see if I can get the costume done soon, although my mom would never let me spend time and energy (as well as money) on something like this just for one pic (nor would she let me show a pic of myself to "strangers" on the interent). Although, I don't know what she would say if I told her I just wanted to dress up for Comic-Con 2006. Maybe she'll let me. If so, I'll probably won't be able to get my first cosplay pic done and posted up until after Comic-Con, which is in July. =(
But if I find a job soon enough and make enough money to finally get my own home, I could get the costume and pic done sooner. :happy: We will just have to wait and see.
EDIT-
I might be able to cosplay of Shinji in casual wear from Neon Genesis Evangelion. Although cosplaying as him isn't really much since his costume is pretty ordinary. Pretty close to my casular wear, actuall. But I think it's a good start for me.
Sorry for the long post. -

Okay, well…..Anime USA's skit was our fourth crazy One Piece skit. I didn't think it was going to go over very well. It almost didn't even happen.
...and then it went and fucking won three awards O_O I still really cannot believe it.
So far I just have these pictures nabbed from Fans View. More will come soon, including a video of the skit!
-
Thos costumes look great Ginny! I can't wait to see the video of it.
-

Congradulations, Seta Ginny.
I like Zoro's disco dancing. Is Sanji singing? And, as always, Seta Ginny make an excellent Nami.
Sorta makes me want to cosplay as Nami.
BTW, is there something in Zoro's hand in the first pic?
-
actually that would be the award that Zoro is holding up. Also Sanji isn't singing. I was actually joking around and going "You like us…you really like us" as a gag. It was a fun convention
-
Ah great cosplays as always guys~ what did you guys win?
-

Awesome costumes Ginny. ^_^ I'm looking foward to the skit video!
-
That's so awesome, congratulations XD
-
QUESTION: I need help doing Sanji's curly eyebrow. Will it look good if I paint/draw it on? If yes, should I draw it or paint it? What sized paintbrush/markers/whatever should I use?
-
All Sanji cosplayers I know drew it on with eyeliner.
be a man wear make up XD
-
I usually just draw it on with a prisma color marker. It stays on fairly well. the only thing is I have thick eyebrows so I don't think it looks as good on me.
-
Meaning you may have to pluck eyebrows to get the perfect Sanji brow? I guess sanji eyebrows are easyer for us girls to do since we pluck anyway..
My Luffy cosplayer used perminate marker and he had his scar for weeks and I had a Nakama mark on my arm for double that long..
-
Thanks. I'll try practicing that curl sometime soon.
So far, things look pretty good. My mom actually thinks it's a good idea, so I don't have to worry about her making a fret about it. Hell, she incourages it since it gives me something to do. :happy: I'm going to go shop for some blue striped shirt and a black double-breasted suit during the weekend. Then all I need is to get/make a wig, shave my chin hairs, get a cigarette, and I'll be done!
I might finish the costume before the new year. Might get some pics posted here by that time, too. =) If not, I think I can get everything by mid-February.
EDIT-
Im gonna try to do Luffy, too. -
What you cosplaying too?
-
I'm giving it a try. It looks fun and interesting.
That, and I know it's going to embarrass my mom. :evil: She deserves to be embarrassed. Even though she likes the idea, I know she's going to be embarassed. She's seen cosplayers at comic-con and thinks it's the weirdest thing in the world.
