I'm rather torn between the two. I really like Apoo's ability and his character design, but on the other hand ShuShu is cute and brave and loyal little doggie. I'll suppose I'll wait and see what the campaigners will do before I make a decision. ^^

I love dogs, but… Apoo it is. I love his design and the fact that his body is a musical instrument in itself.

The dog was the very first time I was truly convinced that Oda had a mastery of his craft. Able to make me care about a minor, silent character in just a few short panels. Shushu nearly made me cry, and get excited when he stood his ground later, and happy when Luffy decided to help and defend him and kicked ass for him. ANd that dog's loyalty to his dead master…
Oda did a LOT in a very short time about a very minor character, and thats when I first REALLY started to understand that One Piece could be amazing. And that was just a few chapters in.
While the music man is one of my favorite supernovas and he had that cool moment against Kizaru, he hasn't done anything to really impress me or make me feel emotional yet, and I just don't feel right voting for POTENTIAL. Shu Shu has long since played the entire part he was going to play, and I can judge him fairly.

The dog stood up to a friggin' steel cage breaking LION to protect the store that meant a lot to him, in the cherished memory of his dead master!
Because loyal dogs are worth supporting.

That dog was one of the 1st emotional Oda's stories. I mean Shushu had a flashback before any Straw Hat did. I like Apoo's design and style..but Shushu is a classic.
