@Nobodyman:
Speaking of whom, I had a question:
In the animated series, the first part of his name is pronounced "RAYSH". In the Nolan movies it's "RAWZ".
So who fucked up? (or are both pronunciations acceptable?)
Denny O'Neil, the creator of Ra's, swears left and right that it's supposed to be "Raysh", and gets angry when people say otherwise. So, most other sources (Games, animated series, etc) just trust the creator complicity, and go with that.
It's SUPPOSED to be "The Head of the Demon" in Arabc, رأس الغول.
I had someone at my work who spoke Arabic as his first language, so I asked him, he said it's actually closer to "Ratz", so he concluded that the "Raaz" pronunciation from the movie is probably the closest approximation for someone who doesn't speak the language fluently.
EDIT: IF you don't believe that, check This.
My assumption is that Nolan realized this and found someone who actually spoke Arabic and went with what he said.
