Don't be so sure. The first thing that is going to happen when Ace gets freed is that his flames will incidentally free Buggy's crew. Camera's being frozen was just a temporary plot device so the people at SA wouldn't see WB deny he made a deal and try to give his remaining forces a shot to escape. Repercussions of WB's supposed betrayal causing problems for his still living allies(Ace&Luffy) later in the story.

and in the eastblue saga all told that you cant stand a day on the GL but the SHs had a normal journey with near to no contact on see with pirates..

Edit: Even the strawhat crew had a lot of fights against big shots. They survived with team work strength and a good portion of luck.

but they have to be the best of a huge number who enter, here we are the same opinion
..but the SH never met other pirate crews so far…okay they split in to the seven roads and shichibukai go around and end some dreams..but in fact the SH only saw on sea masira and shojo`s crew...
for the pirate grave i thought they would meet with some others (and not just on islands the REAL bigshots!)

yeah but like you stated by quoting the manga, those who survived and entered the GL are still a good number number..so 11 bigshots in the end and thats maybe 1-2 % of those who try their luck on the GL..

no that for sure not..but at least the SH should have met SOME other pirate crews on the sea..i mean they even barely see other pirate crews on island(but at least many on island like yaya)
i don`t say they should be in contact with hundrets of pirates everyday but at least a few contacts should have been appeared through half their journey..
not 1 sea battle so far..no bounty hunters(yeah i mean real bountyhunters..not such whiskeypeak losers)
nothing that indicates a REAL pirate grave where you have to watch out every minute on your journey cause you can always meet some villains on sea..

There were plenty of pirates in Mock Town. Croc was an evil pirate and took out some other evil pirates just before the SH crew got there. The entire Foxy arc was about another group of evil pirates. We got to see the carpenters of Water 7 mess up some evil pirates at the beginning of the arc. Thriller Bark was all about two groups of pirates (Moria's and Lola's), one of which was evil. Then Sabaody, ID, and Marineford have all been packed to the brim with Pirates. Even AL was pirate based (they're supposed to be evil, but Luffy just managed to win them over).

There's been pirates at most legs of the journey. Even Wapol was an evil pirate when they first met him.

As for running into pirates at sea, why should they? Most pirates follow a log from one island to the next, so unless they leave the same island close together it's unlikely to encounter each other at sea.

you have an arguement in saying that they all follow their log and so they cant rly meet.. but why could foxy than play a davy back fight with the crew the SH saw on their trip to longringlongland and let them float around and later "attack" the SH…so the SHs overtake the foxy-crew on the sea or they waited to attack incoming pirate-crews on longring.. so in fact many pirates should do that..wait for low-tier pirates to attack them and steal their treasures...and while the SHs werent that famous they should have been attacked many times in my eyes..especially at the sea for at least once.

Well, it wouldn't do much for the story to have the crew crush some no name pirates.

We've seen several examples of pirates waiting for low-tier pirates. Foxy may be one (we don't know for sure how they operate). Moria is definitely one. Croc is sort of one. The Shichibukai in general do this kind of thing.

As for being attacked at sea, this happened with Wapol's pirate crew the first time he appeared.

i wouldnt say wapol is a pirate, just because he said that..he was searching for his country and even travelled under sea like a pussy(but it was cool *thought*)..but yeah at least it was some action at sea..but it wasnt a fight at all..

also you can hadle this with some panels showing how the Sh travel to the next island having some troubles on sea with no name prates..i think this at least should be put here and there from oda..
it shouldn`t be on every sea travel they make for sure..

but my wish to see at least one fight entirely based on sea against a strong NW pirate-crew(and here not one of the yonkous pls) has to take place in my eyes..
oww good old times when the krieg fight was..

Moria's fight was technically "On the sea", it's just that Moria's ship was so damn huge it encircled an entire island…

And the Davy Back was (mostly) on the water, except for the Groggy Ring Event.

I understand what you are hoping for Flamingo but allot of these things have already come into play. Just maybe not in the sense that you want. Meeting Krieg, those apes with Kricket, Wapol(he was a pirate), they even crossed paths with several messed up crews on the ocean. The Fing Fang frog crew and Brookes crew, both destroyed by other pirates.

Now everyone is waiting for a good sea battle. And no we havn't had a huge EPIC one yet except for Thriller Bark(but not so big I know). Don't forget the super small sea battle with Hina during Vivi's adventure speech. Theres the plank connecting two ships, so people can run across, lots of giant stakes and cannon balls being shot everywhere. Luffy and/or Sanji hanging all over the sails. And just cool shots of the SH beating down on fodder. Same thing applies to Wapols sea battle quicky and the flying fish riders.

With the gigantic Sunny I have no doubt we will see more sea battles later on.

If you wave a pirate flag and beat up people randomly they will call you a pirate or some kind of gangster for that matter. Beat up someone and wave a pirate flag in the ocean, tell me what happens. You may say your not a pirate but people will sure treat you as one. Raising the Jolly Roger in the ocean is a serious threat.

More instances in the realm of sea battles. We've had Ace vs BW Billions fleet (total slaughter). The SH Crew defended themselves from Hina before Bon sacrificed himself to save them. The sea train stuff on the way to Enies Lobby (especially with Zoro vs T-Bone). Luffy vs Lucci on the deck of a battleship. The stuff with the SH crew on Merry vs the Buster Call escaping Enies Lobby. The SH crew on Sunny defending themselves from Garp when leaving Water 7. Jinbei/Croc/Mr 1/Buggy had a pretty cool sea battle outside of ID. Also, we got references of Marine fleets getting slaughtered by Whitebeard and Shanks in the New World, so we'll probably get some more stuff like that in the future as well.

yeah at least there are some scenes.but i think OP needs more against other pirates non the less.

but non the less when a well-known king,who was at maryjoa for meetings several times, suddenly likes to play pirate they most likely think he is insane, but he was lucky cause i think nobody ever noticed that he depredate the sea ..
and also after being defeated by luffy, he never picked up again to become a pirate again..
he just had to do something while he was on the run and cause he was on the sea and had an armee with him he thought "why not calling myself a pirate."
but as soon as he could go back to his roots it was done being a pirate..

but well sure you can call him a pirate for that time…whatever doesn`t rly matter if he was a pirate or not at any time..
this was still no fight on the sea for my taste when we first met him .
