Wait, this isn't an illusion or dream or some other genjutsu crap, right?
Kaiman is back for real?Hell yeah!!

No, something isn't right about this Kaiman… why are his head spikes cut up?? and how can Kaiman be there if he's Aikawa, who is currently part of Hole's mud and a sacrifice?? and why the devils tail??
I'm feeling like it's a illusion or trick or something...
Dorohedoro 118 Loved the page with Kaiman and Nikaido glaring crazily at each other only to be interrupted by Kaiman's growling stomach.
Honestly I have no solid idea who exactly might have brought this Kaiman here and what he is. But there are peculiar facts that might hint at his nature. First, his memories date back to the fight with the cleaners at the last year's Living Dead Day. Second, the spikes on his head are cut, just like the head he lost on the last year's Living Dead Day. That head remains in a formalin jar back at the Hole hospital. Risu was once just a head like that until he was exposed to Noi's smoke. Could something similar happen here?
And can the Store's Kitchen Knife be that same knife Haru borrowed from Chidaruma in one of the bonus stories?
Man, I was getting mighty worried about Dorohedoro, so this just came in the right time.
Thanks!

But, is the head still in the jar? I sincerely forgot the whole chain of events, but that head has travelled a lot, I think. Was it really last seen in the hospital?
That this is the real Kaiman personality that sprouted from that head, there's no doubt at all. . .
. . .Unless Nikaido has been screwing up the continuity with her time magic. In fact, someone in Batoto just suggested that this new devil might just be future Nikaido. . .
And can the Store's Kitchen Knife be that same knife Haru borrowed from Chidaruma in one of the bonus stories?
That's exactly the first thing that came to my mind. It would definitely blow my mind if a gag side story with no implications in the main story suddenly became such an important element.
I might just re-read the whole thing for the third time just to try and make sense out of the Kaiman timeline or that Kitchen Knife.
That knife is the same one Haru used to kill the other devil because of her album or something like that lol.

Nope, it is long gone from there.
I flipped through the volumes, and tried to trace it's path. The cut off head reappears after En kills the Kaiman persona body. Shin and Kusakabe pick it up. Later they hand the head to Nikaido, who leaves the head in her room in En manor. Fujita sees this head lying on the floor of that room much later. And that was the last we have seen of it so far.

And the devil silhouette from the recent chapter vaguely reminds you of her mask. A-yup.

Exactly the same knife. Found the bonus story, it's from volume 13. Haru is still in possession of it by volume 17.
Isn't that knife the one they used to cut up the steak En gave them for their end of the year party?
Nope, it is long gone from there.

Shit, if I start wondering AGAIN wtf is up with Kaiman I'll go fucking nuts. So, when he was Kaiman, Shin cut off his head, and Curse should've come out of him, like when En killed him in his human form, right?
And Curse DID appear at the hospital after Kaiman recovered from the accident with Shin, and stole Kaiman's head, but then, why was Curse inside Kaiman again till En killed him?
Why do I feel like I'm constantly asking the same questions time and time again and never make heads or tails about the whole situation?

Yeah, that's awesome. I didn't remember that it was already important in the ongoing story, not only the bonus chapters.

Maybe that's the deal? Shin cut off the head, but didn't kill the body, so the spell was left unchanged, whereas En managed to destroy it and dispell Ebisu's part of magic?
I try to deal with solid, tangible and rational objects, like cut off lizard heads, and not bring crazy violent phantoms into reasonable business schemes.
Why do I feel like I'm constantly asking the same questions time and time again and never make heads or tails about the whole situation?
That's our Hayashida!
sitcom laugh track
The devils are too damn hilarious.
"Everyone, follow me! Walk in a single line!".
Ok, that wasn't exactly the most eventful of chapters. . .aren't we, like, extremely close to ending the manga? I thought Hayashida would go full throttle with the pacing, but it seems it's atually quite the opposite, she's slowing it down, lol.
Yeah, that felt way too short.
Are the devils trying to turn the Boss into some UberDevil ala Satan?
Ah, glorious and delicious chaos. How I missed Dorohedoro.
It felt like the good old times! I like this chapter.
If you don't have enough with today's (awesome) One Piece chapter. Or the glorious volume 72 cover.
Here's a DOUBLE DOROHEDORO BILL:
1. Chapter 185.5 Bonus Course.
2. Chapter 120.
Remember to give your thanks to the guys at Fallen Syndicate, and enjoy, cause it's Dorohedoro time, muthafuckas!
Chapter was cool, although the last 2 ain't the most eventful Dorohedoro chapters ever made, although by now I'm pretty used to Hayashida's penchant for f*cking around, which makes this manga so unique. Next chapter, though, looks like shit might start to get real.
The bonus chapter, on the other hand, was fucking golden stuff. Freaking hilarious.
True to its chaotic spirit, Dorohedoro doesn't submit to some orderly release schedule.
Chapter 121 is here.
Now. We're. Fucking. Talking.
Great fucking chapter.
I guess we must be SUPER close to the ending, right? Why do I feel like too many things must still be settled?

Is this series ending naturally or the author is forced to end it soon? Somehow it feels like there are too much stuff to cover in 5 or 6 chapters.

Unfortunately, I know nothing about it. Considering it's a monthly series, ending with close to 130 chapters is quite huge, so I guess it was at least mildly successful.
I also think there's too much stuff left to cover in only 5-6 chapters, and Hayashida is bizarrely and surprisingly taking her sweeeeeeeet time during these last chapters instead of going to the meaty stuff. It's really weird.
Ikki is not that kind of magazine (They only print 10000 per issue). Especially for a manga which is there since issue 1.

IKR!! , the last few chapters have been somewhat slow and it doesn't seem like all characters will meet up in one place any time soon . Maybe the last volume will have more chapters than usual or the chapters themselves might be a little longer . Either way i can't see it finishing before April or May 2014 .
I cant remenber a current manga series that was neither rushed to end nor stretched past its due time.
Guess Dorohedoro is weird even for that.
The bad news: I don't bring a new Dorohedoro chapter.
The good news: If this is confirmed, then we'll possibly get an additional Dorohedoro volume!
Which is basically Q saying that at first she thought of making volume 19 thicker than normal and ending the series there. But in the midst of drawing she ended up wanting to draw more, and that it would be better to extend the series to volume 20. She proposed this idea to the editors, and they are very excited about it, but are still waiting to hear back from the higher ups. Q will inform us once a final decision is reached.
Can't say anything else other that I hope this is true; more Dorohedoro is awesome news, and a more fleshed out ending? Oh, hell yeah.

So i was right in thinking that the series won't be ending in this volume .
I could easily see Dorohedoro end with volume 19. But I trust Hayashida Q enough to extend it a volume longer.

Lol, that's one hilarious mistake to make.
Thanks, Mr. Shipmate!

That's better, much better. There are so much things to explain, ending so soon would be too rushed.
Gooood chapter.
I hope devils have the power to resurrect. I think Haze right now became mincemeat, but that might be just me. . .
And when will that weird hairpin inside Noi's head take effect? She should just wake up now and kick Zombie Shin's ass!
If the Shogakukan higher-ups give Hayashida and us our volume 20, it means there are 11 more chapters of Dorohedoro to come and the final chapter will come at the end of 2014. I trust Hayashida to do right with these 250 pages, but I can't help but wonder what else she can fit into a story that seems almost over.
Now about the chaper. How does Risu recognise Aikawa's artificial devil form when he achieved it only recently if not a day ago? Are the time shenanigans at fault here again? Risu has it tough, doesn't he. Not only he has to go against both Ai and Shin but his best ally is going to be Chota right now, and that only if he find all the pieces to build him back together. Well, Noi too, but she has a hammer stuck in her head.
And I too hope Haze is okay. Better a kid again than mincemeat.

I don't know, I feel like we're missing an important part of the puzzle, and Hayashida ain't adressing it. 1- Why did the devils place so much attention on Ai? 2- Why did they move to Hole? 3- That coin.
There might or might not be a bigger thing going on here than just Ai going batshit blob mind fuckity fudgery wathever the fuck on our asses.
(I'd add the rain falling on the magic world bringing everyone to Hole, but a.been a long time since I read those chapters, b.I can concede it's caused by Ai's magic because. . .Dorohedoro).

Certainly, there is some huge factor that ties together Kai's and devil's plot threads. However, Hayashida has structured her story in such a way that she can stage her ending in a quite efficient manner without wasting much space and time. If the 19th volume would be made longer. the remaining 5 chapters could fit it all without missing anything. Just for example:
Most important threads intersect, so I imagine that her final thought are going to be quite concise and succinct. Or at least that's how I thought until now.
New chapter out!
Off to read it.
ABOUT TIME!
I'll never tire to read this manga. I could read this stuff for years without getting tired of it. It's just so damn charming. . .And the chapters go by so damned fast. . .
That said, for fuck's sake Noi, wake the fuck up! You're supposedly immortal now, wake up before it's too freaking late!
One half of this chapter was made from literally rolling talking heads. Other half of this chapter had Ebisu be Ebisu. Overall that was as good as it gets.
Oh hey there En.
I really hope they don't take that drastic procedure. I know this is Dorohedoro and people have more lives than Dragon Ball and Naruto put together, but it seems like a pretty hardcore strategy. Unless Kikurage happens. Gotta admit I forgot which were the limitations of her powers, other than "it depends entirely on wether she wants to revive you or not".
That's why I think Noi should hurry it up already before these guys do something too drastic. We know Shin planted that immortality thingie inside her, so she should be immortal, right?
I think the only limitation for Kikurage was that the small devil in the brain needs to be intact. So I guess as long as the heads don't get destroyed they could all still be resurrected.
Ok guys, I know you were all getting anxious.
But worry no more, cause the good guys at Fallen Syndicate are giving us not one, but TWO chapters today!
So, without further ado, rejoice! Cause it's Dorohedoro time, mothertruckers!
Edit: Read the first chapter, and holy fucking mother of everything that's fucked, shit was INTENSE.
Oh, and this is awesome news. Volume 20 confirmed by Q herself!
And done with chapter 125 too. Hilarious and gory.
Awesome chapters, both of them. Now, to wait for the next serving. To think this manga is so close to ending. . .
Finally got the time to read it.
Poor Kaiman, dead once again and in such a way.
And Haze. Don't get me started on that unluck sunofabitch of Haze.
That Ebisu doll looks cool.
And yay for volume 20!
I don't know if they are French readers on this thread, but the best news of 2014 has been announced :
http://www.manga-news.com/index.php/actus/2014/04/16/Dorohedoro-va-etre-reimprime?pub=1#pr
Dorohedoro 126 for those still interested.
And yes, Hayashida keeps screwing around. And yes, it's still great.
The demons are a riot.
Soooo… Are they all inside Kaiman's head? And are we going to follow two different timelines or are they going to collide soon?
Are we allowed to talk about Dorohedoro 127 in this thread? Like in spoiler tags or something? D:
(I read the forum's spoiler rules, but Dorohedoro doesn't have a spoiler board or spoiler chapter topics, so I'm not sure what the policy for discussing or linking to raws and such of unscanlated chapters is…)
Yeah, just use a spoiler tag.
Alrightee then:
Chapter 127 is finally scanlated and chapter 128 is coming in just 9 days.

Thanks a ton, I needed this.
Awesome chapter. Tons of fun moments, the plot is moving forward, and I don't want this manga to end. Ever.
Oh wow he's actually returning is he ? The doppelganger still has the tumor.
Damn the last chapters are going to be so good.
