Of course Robin would cheat, but then again, Luffy needs her kind of help. I am actually excited that I have a reason to watch One Piece again, but the manga is going to burn a hole in my/ours pocket(s). (For those of you who are worried about the viz only readers, Shonen jump will make sure to cover it)
Let's us think about this:
June 2nd, Volume 21 comes out.
Shonen Jump will porbably start around the Flying Fish Riders arc.
Before that point there are 50 volumes.
50-21=29 volumes we have to buy.
With taxes and everything, that comes about to $10 a volume, and about $300 on manga alone.

I totally agree. What make me upset though is that there's 1 One Piece volume every 4 months and that there's recently been 3 Naruto volumes every 1 month. Do people really need that much Naruto?! I sometimes feel like Viz secretly hates One Piece.

Stop complaining clearly you missed the part where viz said they're jumping ahead with One Piece in Shonen Jump Magazine later this year meaning they're going to have to speed up the graphic novels.

Just a thought on haki; would "Drive" be as good a translation as "Ambition"? Maybe it doesn't matter, but it just sounds shorter and sweeter to me. Also, something funny I remember was that Luffy, in one of the Kuro eps, actually said he has "ambition", at least in the dub.

Wow, I just found out about this (from an ad on Toonzone no less) but that's pretty cool. Of course they're doing the same thing with FMA: Brotherhood. But it is good to know that they're giving some attention to One Piece.

Sorry if someone's already answered this but are the episodes up 'till the new ones only airing on weekdays? That is will episodes 392 and up until 402 (or whatever episode will be subbed an hour after its original airing) only air on the weekdays? Because I would like to watch them now .

Next week: eps 3,4, and 392
week after: eps 5, 6, 393, 394 and 403

Rinse and repeat for the following weeks

I thought the point of putting up 391-402 was to get people who don't read or watch ahead up to speed with the Sabaody Archipelago arc. Now we're getting a gap when 403 does air. Ah well…

I wonder if after the Sabaody episodes, FUNi will release other arcs like CP9 and Thriller Bark online.

No, I think their incentive to show the latest episodes (403) is so they can bring back revenue from fans who have already watched trough the entire series so far and watch the latest episodes via illegal subs.

I think it is better if they actually do something like that. What I mean is, the first episode of each arc, like every week (of course in subs). For example, they can have this week the first episode of G8, Davy Jones Arc, the arc after that, and so on. That way, people can see whats each arc is about, since the dub is not near there (well, except maybe G8)

I kinda like Jedi's idea. Since Funi pretty got the first 195 episodes done and finished. They just pretty much need to release the episodes on dvd. And plus I don't mind what how they are putting up two of the older episodes and put up a recent episode.

Its going to take while to get through each of the dvd set with 2 episodes per week for the older episodes. It will take two month get through each dvd set on the stream.

I watched 391 online over the weekend and the timing problems seem to have disappeared. Was I just lucky, or has it fixed for other people too?

Also Steve had a nice suggestion for haki: gimp Space Alc's dictionary is so goofy sometimes, some of the translations for kuso are hilarious.

I was reading way back when they named "Haki" for the first time The fan scanlations translated it as simple "Spirit". It wasn't till like Amazon Lilly did it become a untranslatable word among fans.

And back in Jaya, when they ACTUALLY named it for the first time, Kaizoku Fansubs had Blackbeard say "I thought 30 million was too low for a kid with THAT much Ambition" and nobody complained then either.

So, it wasn't a magical word until Amazon Lilly, you're right.

I actually noticed when I was watching Season 1 on DVD recently that the word ambition came up quite often. It stuck out to me because of the whole haki controversy.
