Yeah I wanted to do a Plat one but found I had way more pokes that needed training than I did on Gold XD

Caught a Metapod (boo) and named him PeeWee. He can use Harden in the box.

Caught yet another Rattatta and named him Rittle. He can be my HM slave once he's a cate.

Sir Croc evolved into Croconaw

Caught a female Nidoran. Named her Iva. So now I have a gender confused Sir Croc and a Iva. So yay.

Then I ran into another fem Nidoran >.< She can be Ivatwo.

Dare not attempt the Gym yet. Miltank scares me on a normal playthrough.

That'd be super awesome. Sandshrew/slash is my perpetual favorite. Green sandshrew isn't that great, but red quilled sandslash is pretty kewl. I have a shiny Mismagius I could trade, or a whole wealth of many other critters. I don't have nearly everything, but I have a lot. I'm not particularly attached to any of my legendaries.

(As is, I know what my secret ID is thanks to the Mismagius, so I could theoretically hack the RNG whenever I feel like, but that just feels… wrong.)

My network uses WEP so old games dun work with it :/

I meant WPA XD Basically most routers use WPA encryption now which is a lot more advanced than WEP encryption. And since the DS was released in 2005 they stuck with WEP instead. Since mine is WPA the old DS doesn't support it. (Kinda meh considering the Wii DOES and Heart Gold came out way after)

They said Black and White should be fine tho since some new games will be.

Most routers have the option to change encryption. You can change yours to WEP with no harm to your conection…

Anyways. Played a lil more. Ivankov died against Whitney's Miltank when it got a Critical Stomp. I knew I shoulda feared it more.

Can't believe in the route after Sudowoodo I ran into a Growlithe that roared me away (boo) and after running into a Stantler. Damn. Both of them are awesome >.<

Also caught a Mankey over the water to the east of Ecruteak. Got Eevee (Teevee) which will he a something and then. On the most luck I've ever had. Non-Swarmed it has 1% chance of appearing…

I got a Snubble.....yeah. Not gonna jump for joy since Snubble sucks. But that's pretty darn lucky.

I just lost Amber, my Pidgeot, the oldest friend I still had after losing my starter.
She was lvl 93.
Oh Lord, that loss cut deep. I didn't "need" her to battle Red, but she was my favorite. By far.

Not an expert but:

Stock up on Potions and even more importantly: Antidotes. They WILL save you.

Grind. Seriously. Try to be a few levels over the Gym leaders (so 11 for Falkner, 18 for Bugsy, 21 for Whitney etc) More if you don't have anything that is Super-Effective.

Fear Miltank even more than you ever did before. Although saying that. I've forgotten about Kingdra

Something else. Hope, pray that you get a Geodude/Onix. If only to go up against those pesky Koffing/Voltorbs/Anything else with SelfDestruct.

Edit: NOoooooooooooooooooooo. After Last night's and this morning's grinding my Mankey died against a Critical Hit Stomp from a Wild Stantler. (God I hate Stomp so much. It has killed TWO Pokemon)

Kingdra isn't much of a threat if it's her last Pokemon and you got something with Perish Song. Though that's not sating much as the move is scarce.

Hard to say, I hardly ever release anything except for giant broods of fresh eggs.

Was Amber your only Pokemon with Fly?

There are cases in where pokemon would come back out of concern that you don't have anything else to use the HM move with. Say you are on an island with no FLY HM, no access to Water/Surfing Pkmn and released all your Surfers. Technically you are stuck on that island forever. Coming back I think was intended to prevent that from happening.

When one of my Nuzlocke run bros "die", I just put them in a special PC box. Don't ever take them out, but it spares me from releasing them, and stands as a memorial.

I should probably do that. Although it's certainly more heartbreaking when you have to actually release the thing.

I got to 5th Gym and realised that Fighting is powerful against pretty much most of my team (Granbull, Raticate, Flaffy and Graveller.) so having to grind up my Metapod from way back when. PeeWee has lost the ability to Harden but every level he 'Grows to' so yay. Mainly using him cus Butterfree has Confusion (and I think later Psybeam) so hopefully he'll be able to pwn them.

Kinda worried about Poliwrath. For some reason I have the sneaky feeling he has Thunder Punch.

I find the fact that you've got nothing to grind against aside from Tentacool/Cruel even more annoying.

By luck I remembered that you can catch pokes from Headbutt trees. So caught an Execute (eggy. Yes. THAT eggy) in Cherrygrove city. Too bad no Leaf Stones

I hate Chuck too, mainly because my sister had a problem beating him. I grinded her Syther for Wing Attack, but then found out he had freaking Rock Slide. I'll be very careful using a Bug/Flying agianst him unless you are assured that an un-STAB Psybeam could OHKO.

Just saw this in a forum and this happened to me before with HM slaves.

No, I didnt re-find it in the wild.
1: Ladle was released.
2: ….......!
3: Ladle came back!
4: Maybe it was worried about you?
But I tried that with Pokemon with maxed happiness and it didnt work...
EDIT: And the wierd thing, the Pelipper didn't like me that much and the Sealeo was traded!

I kinda trained a lot of pokemons and have released some with max happiness, it doesn't happen.

Serebii has nothing on the site, the only thing that happened has to be that, I might be wrong but I doubt.

He basicly releases the pokemon it stars disapearing in the box and them bam message appears.

Nia if you want to confirm this its easy, just go to the move deleter or give fly to another pokemon, move deleter would be the best, then release it and he wont come back, its more like they never go away its not like you release it come back and they are there, the message appears right away when you try to release it.

Apparently refusing to leave is indeed caused by HMs, and is a security measure to keep you from accidentally trapping yourself somewhere. (In case nothing else in your current party can learn the move)

For example, you can't release your Pokemon with rock smash at the center/mart before you enter the PKMN League, but the same creature is willing to leave elsewhere.

Just started and I am still on the 3-4 rout atm, and on bougth the first pokemon I entcounterd were methapods… And they are a real pain in the ass to train^^

Yeah you can only catch the first pokemon on the route. Although if there's a cave or something I'm sure you can catch something in there (like Dark Cave) you can be like me and make an exception for The Bug Catching Contest and Shinies.

I lost my Granbull and Graveler today ;-; Granbull was against Jasmine's Steelix (after wiping out her entire team with Dig and getting him to low HP after two bloody Hyper Potions)

Graveler was stupid. I was up against a level 19 Quilfish. Graveler was 32 (1 level before Earthquake!) so I didn't bother switching him. Then a critical hit killed my pal sniff I was so careless.

Anywho. I replaced him with Shiki the Shuckle before realising Shuckle are crap. And so I used Tickles the Tentacruel.

Shuckle needs an evolution, desperately. Maybe a little less uber defense, a little more HP. It would go a long way.

I wouldn't mind it if it had a attack stat that could attack. It just seems pointless using the TMs (that are almost impossible to get good ones of at this point) on it.

Anywho. I surprisingly got through the Electrode trio in the Rocket hideout without Self Destruct. Thank god to Eggy (now an Executor after mucking around with that stupid pokethlon) and his Sleep Powder + Confusion.

a TM that you get (I think) at the Fushia City gym from Koga's child who suddenly appeared and grew up in the 3 years between Red/Blue/Yellow and Gold/Silver.

By which point you've beat the E4 and all of the really hard Gym Leaders (seriously. Kanto is a frikken joke in this game. And speaking of Johto. WHY is the 7th Gym Leader's pokemon a lower level than the 6ths?)

Well, couldn't play a lot today, gona play now a bit, also its now night time, so basically the next few pokemons I'll gona catch are Hoothoots =/

Evolved my two metapods to butterfrees, but only using one atm, after I realised, that I dont necessarly need to USE the pokemon, that I catched^^

Finished the bellsprout-tower and lost my pidgy in the tower =( Good start… not even the 1 badge and allready one dead pokemon =(

Btw. whats with the pokewalker? Think its not allowed to use it, hmm?^^

if there is one thing Ilove about Nuzlocke challenges on HG/SS its that pokemon that are poisoned in battle can't faint outside battle, otherwise I would have lost my Feraligatr (named Chomps), my Noctowl (named Peeper) and Scyther (named King Shit) by now.

Just kicked Red's sorry ass.

I didn't lose a single one of my three fighters in there (each one had to beat two of Red's Pokémon), though it was fucking damn close for Dani in the last round. He had 15 HP left with that fucking ice storm going down, one more round would have killed him no matter what. But I couldn't really switch to the others, they had already suffered quite a bit, they wouldn't have been able to survive a switch. That was the hardest decision I was forced to make in this entire run - I just hoped Dani would KO Venusaur and hit attack (Ice Beam). Thankfully it was enough.
I would have really needed Lilly there against Venusaur, then it wouldn't have been that close. But we made it. I'm so very proud of them, especially Dani. He has done so well the entire time, taking way more than I thought he could.

Rick, no gender (treated as male), lvl 47 - Lost in the VERY LAST FIGHT before hitting Victory Road. Some water type killed him, I don't remember … it was ridiculous, I still don't get it.
Sylvester, , lvl 78 - Elite Four: Gardevoir, which was lvl 61 and didn't even get a critical hit while Sylvester had full health. Hax again.
Lilly, , lvl 77 - Elite Four: Lucario. Especially tragic because I hit the wrong attack (still blaming the Stylus for that one) which caused the whole thing. That asshole survived her attack with maybe 10 HP left and made a critical hit himself, taking poor Lilly down.
Amber, , lvl 93 - Elite Four: Umbreon. The greatest loss I had to suffer in this whole thing. Because she came back to me when I tried to release her I decided to keep her as sort of "ghost" which can't be used. She rested in a box called "Heaven", but was allowed to go with me to watch me battle Red. I didn't use her for anything, of course, I just wanted her to see it.
Shirley, , lvl 97 - Elite Four: Lucario, yeah, that asshole again. That was my last run through the Elite Four before challenging Red. It was so unnecessary and stupid … Hax on that one as well.
I apparently was not meant to keep a Raticate/Rattata or Pidgeot.

Without Nuzlocke I would have never noticed how incredibly useful a Starmie can be.

I'm pretty darn scared of Kingdra. Mainly because nothing really hurts it. Sir Croc has Ice Fang but I somehow doubt it'll be enough.

And yeah. Poke-Walker would be against the spirit. Although I suppose you could use it and only catch the first one you find? Then nothing more. I've seen people trading to Golem/Machamp etc so.
