Decent "Mark as read" feature

I am a Obsessive forumer, meaning that I need to read every reply after me coming to the Forum..
That wouldn't be a problem if every thread stayed the same, regardless of me logging out and being inactive for 5 days and stuff like that.
Instead, if I get inactive for some days and come back, there are less threads with "New posts" than the actually new posts.

What I ask is for a option to make this a better system.
It really annoys me, I may need to use the "Actualize every 10 seconds" leaving Firefox open or screenshot the Page's to remember every last answer :X
