the custom isnt always an issue , smoker and bellemere were delivered without them asking for custom/tax whatever

i always choose EMS because it gets delivered faster and because in these past months with all these p.o.p releases i like to be able to have paid back my creditcard , if i wait to long with that i sometimes get the issue that they dont get authorization (sp?) from the creditcard company/holder to get the money off it

Basically, don't buy anything from Hong Kong and you'll be a lot better off unless you like subpar bootlegged garbage

If you know where to look.. there are also alot of good Hong Kong
sellers with no bootlegs. But yes alot more are bootleg sellers.

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK, wrong! Want to go for double jeopardy, Hans? There actually are legit Hong Kong sellers on eBay, while most are bootleg, they aren't all bootleg sellers. There was a time (very recently) when I was foolish to throw away an entire area cause of it being big bootleg business, but there's legitness everywhere, no matter how illegitimate the place seems.

My base-doll already had straight semi-long pink hair. I had to cut it, stylize, then add extra hair, curl them… Hell of a work! But it turned out great =)

The silver Toei stickers sound like a good indicator they might be a trying to sell a bootleg P.O.P in the making. I'd personally avoid trying to buy PVCs from Hong Kong sellers altogether even though there are a handful of reputable sellers.

Though, Buuhan or someone else can vouch for me if I'm right or wrong. All the the boxes of the P.O.P's in my possession have gold Toei stickers on them. Extravagant prices can sometimes be an indicator, but it's not really reliable way of telling a bootleg apart from the "Real McCoy."

I can't throw in my input 100% until I see the respective link for it, though.

Upon closer inspection, it seems like the "silver" sticker could be nothing more than a picture of a legitmate Franky P.O.P box that was taken with flash or set at an angle that the flash would cause the sticker to look silver.

Still, its strange that the lettering and the Toei logo is in red, as opposed to being in black, like all the other stickers that I've seen.

Those silver stickers are legit. It means that it was exported outside Asia by Bandai (in Europe or America) and directly sold there. I found several figures in France with those silver stickers. Still, it's weird to find them in a HK shop…

I've seen alot of the stickers on E-bay as well when they care to show the box (I usually only check ones with high prices anyways). All of them I've seen have silver "looking" stickers as well, and I'm guessing that could also be an effect caused by the camera they're using…but- in so many cases?

Except the yen/dollar to euro exchange rates have skyrocketed the past months. :(

I bought from that website a couple of times before, and everything has always been legit.

They sell the official 'Bandai Asia' version for most of their products, which is why I think the sticker is a different colour.

I don't think that store sells bootlegs.

Yeah, Bandai just export the line for Megahouse, but I didn't know that this silver sticker is actually used by Bandai all over the world as have said wildfury.

So, golden = Megahouse japanese domestic sales
And, silver = Bandai worldwide exports

looks like they ripped off the Luffy head and put it on the Goku body. I can do that myself for less than 60 bucks XD

That is what they did, but they also repainted it (either completely or just touch ups)..the mouth is definitely different, and they mention airbrushing in the description.

I thought the body would be too buff for him, and it sort of is…but I don't think it looks too weird :ninja:.

But of course I wouldn't have paid $60 for him either. I already regret buying my $20 one .

Many of the SS1 to SS3 4-7" figures(size of the Grand holiday OP figures) I saw when i bought Perona from the TB set looked like they bled during the painting process since the hair looked like it ran into the outfits… alot of orange in the hair.

I ought to set up a page for the stuff i am selling..or trying to get rid of XD

I'm pissed! My Zoro P.O.P. came today and not a minute out of the box the handle on his Wado broke clean off! I've tried epoxying it back on 4 times, it just won't stay on.

Any ideas? Or better yet anyone have an extra sword? ?:| Wishful thinking.

Sorry to double post, but looks like we got our pic. It actually has been around for a month and a half, I should browse HobbyHype more:

They look almost exactly like the promotional images, Nami's face is still "hurrrr" to me… They could be the same promotional models, but the Goku and Luffy above them... looked like the retail models... but at the same time like the promotional... Maybe we should wait. But dammit, they come out at the end of the month, where's our pictures?!

I just found out the Yoruichi Megahouse PVC from 2006 which HLJ.com had as restock was actually a re-release(NEO, in POP terms). What that means is, Smoker could very well be a re-release too, tho we got no word or announcement on this whatsoever. And I may simply be misunderstanding.

Nonetheless, could any of you with him compare him to photos of the old one, or better yet with the old one if you so happen to gave him? Thanks.

So, 2 new POPS! Woho! Looking at the recent Popularity Poll and the POPs we already have, high chances for guys are: Kaku, Mihawk and Aokiji. And if they decide to do a girl, the one that has most chance to get a POP is Perona. Also judjing from the poll well defenetly see Kidd and Law after they appear in anime, but its too early for them yet.

Now that you mention it, a Perona POP would OWN. I never really considered myself a fan of her, but I guess I was a closet one. (blame AWB) An Aokiji POP would lose his epicness due to him not being in scale, tho.

Yep, I have those very same two (and Bulma) thanks to Al!na. It's definitely a white 40th Jump logo. So I was right they were bootlegs? I guess my eyes are smarter than my brain. How the hell are they producing bootlegs this fast? @_@ This is really gonna start becoming problematic for inexperienced buyers.

but the bleach ones mention they are Re-releases , smoker and bellemere were def. restock , it says "megahouse 2005 made in china" on the box , the back also lists pictures of the bellemere and nami v2 p.o.p.

Not really. I was removing the sword from his grip so I could remove the plastic bag on it and the hilt just snapped off.
