I made this thread because I saw that there was a "Worst Video Game Moments Ever" thread. Anyways I believe that one of the best video game moments ever was when EVA drove her motercycle up Ocelots face in MGS3. You gotta give EVA credit because that was pretty damn cool.

When I completed Okami 5 in the morning. When the ending came I literary cried. It was an amazing gaming experience.
And of course whenever I put on Zelda OoC, I get this warm cosy feeling.
Also moments of Yakuza 1 and 2, DQ8, MGS 2 and 3, Final fantasy 7-9, Digimon World, Banjo kazooie, n64 mario games and pokemon blue/silver always makes me happy when I think of them.
-
-Halo 3: winning a 25 kill round using sticky grenades to get 19 of the kills.
-Playing epic 2 hour WC3 games in high school, no food, no gold no wood.
-SSBB teamups.. 4 person Kirby, Link and Young link, making people cry with Lucas..There's more but.. I can't remember.
-
When I was younger and considerably less skilled, I used to think I was the shit after I beat the final bosses of RPGs for the first time. The two earliest examples are Doom Dragon from Golden Sun: the Lost Age, and Chaos from Final Fantasy.
Betting the hard mode boss rush in Megaman ZX: Advent also qualifies.
-
During the end of the 2nd part of your fight with Ryuji in Yakuza 2 when Kiryu & Ryuji run towards each other and punch one another (the game fucks you if you don't hit triangle at the proper time).
The final scene in Call of Duty 4 when your shooting the bad guy and his goons after watching your buddies get killed.
-
Final Fantasy 4 DS - "Edge's rage" cut-scene , Epic and badass in every way.
-
Beating Tp on Wii was pretty awesome
also definitely beating RE4 for the first time was awesome I shouted something really stupid when i rpged the last guy TEE HEE -
I always love it when Frog cuts open a cave door with the Masamune.
The sequence after the Floating Continent in FF VI blew my mind when I first saw it.
When you first enter the second castle in Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. I didn't get it spoiled for me, so it was a pretty awesome shock.
-
Oh my goodness, there are far too many to name.
-Countless moments from Super Mario RPG(The Intro, Forest Maze, Sunken Ship, Fight Against Smithy).
-Exploring the depths of Norfair in Super Metroid.
-Deku Tree Dungeon and the Fighting Ganondorf in LoZ: OoT.
-The Perfect Chaos emergence cutscene in Sonic Adventure (Oh, and the beach level where a freaking whale is chasing you!)
-The Endgame stages of Fire Emblem: RD.
-SSBM's opening.Just to name a few.
-
Daizengar & Aussenreiter's Tatsumaki Zankantō (Alpha Version)

Beating your first game: Any game.
-
-Resident Evil Outbreak: Surviving the hardest difficulty of "End of the Road" with Jim online. I had 98.8% infection rate at the end. Had I waited any longer, I would have died and turned into a zombie. And believe me, after beating the final boss, I was on my toes in hopes to finish.
-Silent Hill 3: Entering the Chapel with MASSIVELY LOW health (a single touch killed me) and no healing items, and surviving all the way to the final boss. I remember feeling so helpless because I was getting killed at every turn. And the final boss was a push over.
(BY FAR, one of the best.)
Gears of War: I'm playing online with a group of friends. We have friendly fire on, because it like to shoot each other when we get mad sometimes. Well, we're playing normally, and we reach a tie where the next winner wins all. After a while, I'm the lone survivor. I have two enemies still alive. I notice a sniper across from me, and I immediately pull my sniper rifle out. The two of us start having a sniper battle. We aim, we miss. We aim, we miss.
I aim one last time, and I blast my opponants head off. In that split second, the game ended claiming I was victorious.
But what happened to the second enemy I had!? The second enemy was behind me after I fired my last shot. When I fired my shot, I shot off the sniper's head. When the sniper fired his shot, I ducked before it could shoot me, and the bullet instead fired off the head of his ally (who was about to shotgun me).

I like when The Boss breaks Snakes arm backwards in MGS3 and when Kefka lifts a chunk out of the earth in FF6.
-
I loved the windmill scene from Ico, that and the Bird Colossus from Shadow of the Colossus
-
- Zelda 3, going to the dark world after facing agahim and realising you weren't even halfway through the game.
-Prince of Persia(original) - Jumping through the mirror, and seeing your reflection.
-Metal Gear Solid - Psycho Mantis talking about your Konami game saves.
-Wind waker - The dragon breaking into Ganon's castle and rescuing Link.
-Wild arms - Jack's indiana jones style entrance, dodging boulders and spears.
-Super Mario Brothers 3 - Everything.
-Indiana Jones and the fate of Atlantis - Choosing between the three paths, and then realising how much your choice actually matters when you replay.
-The secret of Monkey Island - Insult swordfighting.
-Hybrid Heaven - Learning the sharpshooter.
-Sonic 3 and Knuckles - The doomsday zone.
And that doesn't even scratch the surface.
- Zelda 3, going to the dark world after facing agahim and realising you weren't even halfway through the game.

Yeah i know, that is always a refreshing feeling, It can be good for laughs if you do it enough.
My first time doing Lionheart one of the best moments from FFVIII
And the End of sonic adventure 2
-
An awesome moment from the 3rd Pokemon generation during my younger years.
So, I found Steven to be hard as hell, and lost quite a bit. Then, my nth attempt came down to Groudon vs. Metagross. He had roughly 2/3s max HP left, and he used Psychic to reduce mine to 1HP. Used Fire Blast on my next turn, and I won. It was very elating.
In fact, listening to the soundtrack on Youtube convinces me that I need to play Diamond again. If that soundtrack was a beautiful woman, well…you know how the saying goes.

Tha Avatar battles in the .hack//G.U. series. Espessially the one against Ovans Avatar in its sencod form.

that reminds me of when I was in high school. I was at my stupid Bf's at the time, with his stupid sexist friend, watching them fail miserably trying beat this boss on a scooby do game. I ask if I can try, and get this jack ass comment about being a girl….then I beat the boss in one try. :)

I've never played Gears of War, but that sounds epic! Sounds like a scene from a movie.

What next:ninja:?
-
the twist in bioshock.
also, the good ending made me sniffle.
also, playing ssbm for the first time. holy cow.
-
Well after being locked out of the site all day I can finally mention this.
Blowing NPC's heads off in Fallout 3. -
@Sandai:
What next:ninja:?
uh, I prove girls are better than boys :P
-
nu-uh, you have too many cooties.
I think megaman about to shoot wily was the best moment ever. (megaman 7)
-

That sort of stuff only really happens when you play with friends. Playing with random strangers sucks on Gears of War. They're always either racists, annoying, an annoying child, or a racist annoying child.
The game does have a bit of an epic (which is also the name of the company that makes the game) feel to it. The game isn't flawless, but it's fun.
EDIT: Another item of best video game moments. Watching my sister (who rarely plays Tekken) get a Perfect against her future husband (who is addicted to Tekken). It really put his foot in his mouth. I can't stand playing fighting games with him sometimes. :getlost:

The entire Krauser boss fight is very high up there for me.
But, I think my favorite moment is the ending to MGS3, if not just cuz of the jokes me and my friend made as we watched it.

I'm not so sure. At first, he was okay. But…just knife him a few times and he dies like he just took forty bullets to the chest.

Yesterday I was playing Fable II.
My character is a fat, tattooed drunk. He is a good guy but he just has picked up couple bad habbits. So my character is standing there in his underwears, he just drank couple bottles of beer and a some poor dude walks next to him and says something like "I have never wanted anybody more than I want you" using British accent. Immediately after that my character throws up. And I'm basicly rolling on the floor laughing.
Dunno what I really think about the game itself at this point, it seems pretty okey, but that had to be one of the best moments I have ever had while playing video games.
-
this a both Funny,Shocking and a best moment for me.
i was just playing Skies of Arcadia legends, and also,I decided to start playing it again after a long hiatus and ended up at a boss(antonio 2nd ver.)
with alot of HP on my characters I decieded to cast Lunar Glyph..
the strange thing is I thought many bosses were immune to Poison,Paralyze,Slow, and Petrify and this magic att. usually perifies most enemies but misses on bosses
and behold..I wish I could gotten video of it because the boss is now in the petrified state for the rest of the battle LOL XD. this is making me laugh because this is highly unusal for a boss battle to end up like this:one sided
he ended up going back to normal right when he had little HP left -
coming out into the wasteland for the first time (Fallout 3)
Yeah sandai, introducing NPC's heads to my combat shotgun is a wonderful feeling.
the fact that V.A.T.S slows the gore down, is hilarious.

I liked the ending to but I really didnt want The Boss to die. But I did enjoy the part when Ocelot jumped out of the plane and rolled across the water at 80 miles per hour until he finally stopped.

haha I wasn´t there but just listening to this gives me a little bit of satisfaction
Similar thing happened to me on a birthdayparty. the host was a nice boy but when it comes to gaming he turns into an arrogant prick… he kept challenging people to "soul calibur" and kept defeating one player after another, not without taunting everyone he fought against. Well, things changed big time when his OWN LITTLE SISTER owned him in front of everybody (she was like 10, he was 17) I love that girl she made my day...
