The use of 'oof' and a smiley face were calculated plays to coat the statement in an aura of lightheartedness. I'd completely forgotten that there would be a summer special, hence why I did a proverbial eyebrow-raise. It definitely concerns me but it's not entirely unexpected. I hope the new system they have for streamlining production at the new Toei studio keeps things from becoming a clusterfuck like 2014.
Anyway, what really had me concerned was that major players like Watanabe would be split between the special and any other projects.
The movie already has Shintani, Takahashi and Shida. Not to mention that Tate, Onishi and some other talented animators will most likely attend the project. Schedule wise the movie also has a good schedule. I guess there is no need to worry.
The Dragon Ball movie already has enough good staff, and it isn't the only project. Honestly there's no reason that other animators like Watanabe, Ota and so on have to attend a particular project;) Not to mention that it's not likely that they will attend the OP special at all lol.
