It's gonna be in Jump's anime Tour later this year, a preview sorta OVA. And it'll probably get picked up as a regular anime sometime later on, assuming sales and such continue. They did this last year with Tegami Bachi and the OP Romance Dawn thing.

Haha, so it'll be like One Piece's first OVA before it had an official Anime with the different voices and such. I wonder which studio is going to be animating the Toriko OVA.

Oh and the new chapter was good. Nice to see Toriko doing manly things like cutting down trees with his hands (like they were butter) and carrying the whole thing with one arm.
So Terry is a picky eater eh? sounds like a new Arc!!! The B.B popcorn is about the most boring special "ingredient" so far (wow, it pops into a shit-load of kernals... woo..). It really doesn't make my mouth water like some of the previous foods (the rainbow fruit and the jewel meat ^^). But, what DOES have me interested is that they are going to travel to Gourmet World (kinds like outland or sumthing) I expect crazy awesome monster designs! that Plant looks Vicious!!
The picture looks cool. I can't wait for Toriko to become an anime.
The new chapter is out. It's a good beginning for the new storyline. The BB Corn doesn't sound like it would be part of Toriko's menu but it sounds like a nice snack for Terry.

Presumably it gets built up over time. Like everything else. This arc was kinda expanding on the Terry thing.
And Terry got a lot bigger in 3 months.
What I'm interested in is how this arc'll go without Komatsu or anyone but Toriko and Terry. It'll have some twist…
Seeing how Tegami Bachi is now getting a tv anime…Toriko could get its own on Fall 2010, assuming it'll keep going strong. Good news nonetheless.
Btw, i think the vast majority of Jump ovas keep the same voice acting/studio when it's turned into a tv series, OP was an exception.

The BB corn is a LOT bigger than I thought it would be.
I allways liked terry but this chapter just made her even more awesome, damn that battlewolf is smart. Someone should ask this mangaka to do monsters for an RPG game, that'd be wicked.

No surprise there. Bakuman and Toriko have been doing well in Japan. Hopefully their success transfers to America.
The new chapter is out. I wonder who cut the stalk of the BB corn? It's probably the same guy at the volcano right now, but that person must be really strong. I hope it's Zebra or another "not bad" guy. I like Toriko and Terry just trying to survive the wilderness and not trying to stop an evil person/group.

! Toriko wants to try lava. That seems like it would burn but maybe its just really spicy. It's on the menu of that really old guy, so maybe one day Toriko will get to try the old guy's full course menu.
! I'm surprised the BB Corn made Toriko's menu. I wonder how it tasted like. I can't imagine eating a giant piece of popcorn and Toriko made it sound like the BB Corn tasted differently than normal popcorn. I guess its a lot fluffier and less crunchy, like cotton candy. Since it makes a person feel less hungry I guess it would make a good appetizer.
! The guy at the end made the chapter though. Four Arms has the most interesting design in this manga so far. I wonder if the straw he has is a special straw or if his lungs are just that strong. I also can't tell if Terry jumped away or if somebody hit Terry away. Either way the next chapter looks promising.
Man they can even make cooking a piece of popcorn interesting.
And I got to say for all the freaky beasts we seen in this manga this guy takes the cake.

Apparantly MaP Scans doesn't make any attempt at checking for even obvious typos, which ticks me off really, it takes me like 5 hours to translate these chapters sometimes and they can't even just read through them to see if a word's spelt wrong?
I think they had "stat" instead of "start" somewhere, too. That should've been obvious…

with the fancy lettering for his name I thought it was griinpatch until toriko said his name later, that guy has got to be one of the hardest human characters to draw, all those damn tatoo's yikes. LOL at Obaraus (was that the creatures name?) following toriko and terry.
Looke at the capture level 85 -_- that is higher than any pets or creatures we have seen so far…
Now I am curious about the capture level system.
Does higher level means better taste? or just hard to beat.. Taste might have nothing to do with CL, but now we see CL 85....
Anyway Toriko and his friends have a long way to go..... When I first saw this manga I thought Toriko was already at top tier, but seeing this far, he needs more training to catch up with the higher-ups

The Capture level usually effects taste. Mainly for plot purposes though. Wouldn't be much of a story after all if toriko menu was a bunch of 2s and 3s.

Toriko is so much a great Manga. It will be an awesome anime. It is even comiong to the states sometime soon.

I guess that may just be because this is a ONE PIECE forum… but even Beelzebub and Bakuman, two fairly new series are doing far better than Toriko popularity-wise.

I do like how diverce villains are.
for me the fights are an added bonus. I enjoy the originality of them.
It was the introduction of the GT Robos that caught me. They look badass. Especially the black one.
