I know I'm late but
Really, the Tobi=Obito theory isn't really all that believable. People forget that he was completely crushed by rocks, not just on that one side of him. After Kakashi and Rin escaped, the rest of the rocks caved in crushing the rest of his body. I do understand the appeal; I'm just not 100% on it.
And Tobi is not Obito backwards in Japanese. I hate it when people bring up that "point". Obito backwards in Japanese is Tobio.
Also, as for other series of this genre, I
-read/watch One Piece
-watch the dub of Bleach
-read Fullmetal Alchemist. I watched the anime too, but it's crap compared to the manga at this point, so…
-watch Konjiki no Gash Bell!!, and keep up with the manga story
-watch Death Note
-had read/watched Yu-Gi-Oh!, which honestly was a good series. It was full of plot holes/unresolved questions by the end, though.
So yeah, I do keep up with more than just Naruto, and Naruto's still in my Top 3 favorite Shounen.
@raj:
Edit: Can someone recommend me something (chapter/volume) worth reading from the manga when it "peaked" in terms of quality/story/action? I don't think I could withstand an entire read through and the anime's soundtrack makes my ears bleed.
You mean something recent or through the whole series? If you mean something recent, the whole fight we're in now minus the last chapter. If it's in the whole series… I guess that'd be the Invasion arc with Orochimaru vs. Sarutobi and Naruto vs. Gaara. Not sure what chapters those are, though.
