Well the only good thing is that the anime is back on track with the plot with those two. My only hope now: a series-ruining filler arc after the Immortals arc is over…yeah I know it won't happen but I really don't want to relive the mess known as the Uchiha arc.

Ironically enough, Hidan's seiyuu dubbed Bail Organa in the prequel movies. He was also Vittorio, that gladiator from the D.Gray Man fillers.

Question about the Naruto manga, on the recent volume(43), how many chapters are there in it? I tried looking on wiki, but I don't really trust it since it listed it as having 13 chapters.

Its sort of cartoonish (I mean, the head keeps talking even after decapitation) so my guess is not too much blood as it comes off, if none at all. Could see the blood in other parts of his ritual though. (somehow that's one of my hopes with the new databook: Kishi finally explains what Jashin really is and where exactly Hidan is actually from)

Yeah, break's over, all Jump series are back. We'll probably get "number 8" from Hachibi and such…though I'm a bit more interested in the animated Hidan/Kakuzu vs. Yugito now. (and hopefully we get Tobi vs. Sanbi...oh, those were the days when idiot comic relief wasn't potentially the final boss of the series)

Probably the only good parts to watch when they get there are Deidara/Sasuke (mostly for Deidara) and Jiraiya/Pein. The beginning (Orochimaru's death and the meeting of the gruesome threesome) and the stuff after Jiraiya/Pein (when Uchiha insanity was in overdrive) will be excrutiating and probably unwatchable. (outside the part Itachi finally flips and does that evil smile bit)

They was nothing wrong with it, the fight was entertaining and it moved along at a good pace. Not to mention it put the story in a good place for Epic things to happen for Naruto and Konoha down the line.

At the end of the day I really couldn't tell you, I would say If I had to chose, it would be Japanse coz of Yamata no Orochi, but we have already gotten something like that from Orochimaru, but Kishi could draw up a Qilin as the 8 tails heck forget that how bout a Ushi oni with that Kish touch? that would be epic, or Maybe something from Greek/Roman mythology, but nothing that has been over used. I really have yet to read up/get deep into norse mythology or korean.

he is good at character designs but some of them just lack…tobi/madara for example. That one to me, was just not creative at all.

Just around the time of Hidan & Kakuzu's fight with Yugito, we get a glimpse of Tobi and Deidara taking down the 3-tails. (which is a Bijuu living in the wild) That's probably what he meant.

Kishimoto has proven that he still has it with stuff like that chaotic Kyuubi page spread here, and the cover of the volume where Jiraiya died. The problem lies in that most of the time we get etch-a-sketch crap like this, or nonsense like this.
You see, Kishimoto can draw. He just doesn't challenge himself. Look back at the art around, say, the Land of Waves Arc and compare it to what we get now. There's quite a drop in quality. Whether it's because Kishimoto is getting bored with this or not, I don't know, but the difference is huge.
