Which is why, as the popular theory I support goes, he was able to stop time in the first place since the time stop power was always Jotaro's Star Platinum in the first place, he just didn't know how to use it/had not evolved enough yet and thus was not capable of using it yet.

! That's how I understood it, but I felt like the Dio/Jotaro relationship (The World/Star Platinum) was different from the Dio/Joseph relationship (Purple Hermit). Maybe I'm wrong, though.

! Well yeah the time stopping ability is mostly due to Dio having Johnatan's body but there was that rumor that Araki just wanted to give The World all the other stans' powers but then he discarded that, which explains the fact that Hermit Pirple was never used again.

That's never been confirmed so there's no reason to believe that and considering the only two powers used were from the Joestar bloodline it makes more sense to believe the current theory.

I find it amusing how Crazy Diamonds power is labeled as the kindest ability in the world,when in hands of a sadist,it would promptly become the cruelest ability in the world.

I mean think about,the cycle of decimating the victim's body in cruel,painful ways and then restoring it without letting the person die,over and over and over again.

At the end of Volume 10 of SBR Araki made a "stand tutorial" that says what stand are, how they work etc. Apparently it's not included in the scanlations, did that show up here when that volume was published? It's interesting, maybe I'll translate it.

Ooo. Please do. Some of the Stands get really confusing. Chocolate Disco I didn't quite understand for one. Was Green Baby technically a Stand?

Automatic stands. The users have no control of them and they need to be triggered by a condition, but they are usually long-ranged and work independently of the user, therefore, no damage given to their stands are reflected on them.

Really, Araki explains it a couple of times.

! Examples: Judgement (trigger - touching the lamp); Black Sabbath (trigger - when the fire of Polpo's lighter goes out); Notorious B.I.G. (trigger - when the user dies).

Logically, Cameo has to be an Automatic Stand. But that also means that, logically, his user is a moron. Really, he can deploy his stand from any distance, and he chooses to be within a 100 yards of the guys he's trying to kill? I think it's far more likely that it was a regular, power based stand, and Araki just forgot one of his rules for a bit.

And Enya couldn't breathe when Judgment was swallowed, so it can't be automatic.

Enya had the Justice Stand. And it clearly wasn't automatic, she was commanding it the whole time.

Polnareff and Abdul weren't the only ones on the island, you know. Maybe Cameo was close because he thought his "camouflage" would be enough to stay hidden and, after his stand killed them, to swiftly dispose of the bodies so the other ones can't see them laying on plain view. It's logical.

With Okuyasu, they can make his hits unblockable. With Rohan they can use Heaven's Door as a stun move and intersperse a ton of gimmicks from his fights into his general fighting style. But King Crimson has two abilities, and both of them are totally impossible to adapt with the slightest bit of faithfullness.

Those three would be bottom tier. If we're going for a Pokemon Trainer-esque fighter, we should take the animal theme all the way. Joseph's Pigeon and Savage Garden for the weak but hard to hit ariel attackers. Bug Eat and Unnamed Rat for devastating long range attacks. Lastly, Cars Squirrel as the ultimate melee killing machine. Instead of a Pokemon Trainer, they'd go in and out of Coco Jumbo. Their final attack would be to have the Ripple-charged frog slam into their foe's head, devastating them (the frog of course remains unharmed).
