umm, sorry for being a douche or not following really, but im just wondering a simple question what is this "canon" that you speak of? dont really understand what u mean about that the movie might be a canon? jumping into the future or glimpse or is the storyline gonna continue from there or what? dont really get it. :/
Not a canon, simply canon(not to be confused with a cannon). One branch of this word is to take something as being authentic.
In this context, to be part of canon means to be a recognised part of the one piece world.
For example, movies one through nine are not. They will never be acknowledged in the manga, and parts of them flat out contradict the manga.
With movie 10 we have already had a comment about the primary antagonist in the manga, although I still can't see it becoming canon in that the events in it are unlikely to ever be referenced in the manga. I suspect it'll be more along the lines of a story oda wanted to tell but didn't have time.
