@Malintex_Terek:
There's only a small cabal of writers, most of the staff consist of animators who don't have creative imput into how the story is made. They probably can't even speak Japanese because most of the work is farmed to Korea.
I don't accept this as an answer.
The company responsible for reeling in one of the highest and most consistent profits the last 6+ years, making hundreds of millions of pounds from its franchise just threw its entire animation budget/future into the hands of some non accountable Korean stooges.
Experience isn't talent. You could have 10+ years experience writing pulp fiction garbage and be completely unfit to direct something Shakespearean.
Ninja cats, ninja kangeroo, ninja armadillo, ninja ostrich.
Please look beyond your clique of friends on an internet forum and consider such horrible stuff is still entertaining school children in Japan, where Naruto's success actually matters.
The aftermath of Hiroshimas radiation.
Be my guest.
Did you just delete that?
Of course. But it's easy to whip up a plot like that, and none of the Japanese fans would know any better. Most little kids can't appreciate a good story and wouldn't notice any difference.
Maybe subtle changes yes, but to swap from what it was to this now is an entirely different subject. That's like changing to channel from the simpsons to rex hunts fishing and hoping the folks next to you won't notice.
When I was younger, I didn't really percieve any quality difference between Pokemon, Digimon and Monster Rancher. All three were equally excellent in my young mind, but I know better now.
If you put monster rancher on par with pokemon as a kid then I can totally understand why you don't get this debate.
Please show me this risk.
Fans growing bored of waiting and taking up spare time with other series. I for one have done this.
Please plase show me that filler is the cancer killing Naruto's ratings.
The overall decrease in profit and fans the last few years is a god damn testament to this.
Please please PLEASE show me how English speaking fans halfway across the world have ANY impact on the Japanese Naruto media franchise.
Are you drunk?
And finally, please show me how Japan listening to the mob masses would be a better page turn for Naruto. Fan interference, a.k.a. demographic pandering, is the same kind of concedence that gave us toxic anime like K-ON! and the frothing, rabid canines that lap it up.
Lol
Kishimoto and Studio Pierrot are not commited to 'art'. They are not motivated to telling a good story for their own personal satisfaction or some kind of moral message they're trying to stress. They're doing it for money and money only. Any silver lining you could find in such a raincloud is entirely unintended.
Having a bit of fucking pride in your work doesn't mean you can't make money. Just look at every other famous anime and manga artist to prove how utterly stupid your idea is.
From henceforth comparing any animated series to FG shall be known as "Smudge's Law", in the same vein as "Godwin's Law".
so family guy is the nazi party of animation. I should send this new information to bartholomew kuma in the death thread.
I can't even respond to that because FG is bottom barrel awful, and I don't want to make Naruto look good by comparison.
…...........
@RobbyBevard:
First off, I'll point out that Rock Lee versus a Ninja Kangaroo is actually an amazingly fun little idea and the sight of it amuses me greatly. If it were say, a random One Piece cover page. As opposed to actually in a episode. Anyway.
Terek, your stance makes no sense. They hire bad writers and their excuse for that is because they hired bad writers, which they do because they can only hire bad writers as a result of hiring bad writers?
Also, bringing up Shakespeare is a completely asinine point. Its like when folks bring up comparisons to Citizen Kane. Nothing is quite like that, and nothing hits that tentpole, so its not fair to bring it to bear. Use a legit comparison. There's no reason the guys writing Naruto can't be… other anime writers who have worked on other action shonen series.
Yes, Monster Rancher was easily the best of the three.
This is so wrong on every conceivable level it boggles my mind. I can't even beging to break it apart.
Nobody fucking practices drawing for years to get to the skill level Kishi achieved just for the money. No one takes up drawing manga, one of the most time consuming and (usually) least lucrative strenuous thankless art jobs there is. You have to love and have a passion for it to train and practice that hard for years beforehand. To put it together every week with any semblance of quality. And the first half of the story? The quality that was in there wasn't complete fluke, it couldn't have been that consistent if it were the case. There WAS effort and art going on there.
Yeah, Kishi is clearly burned out NOW and isn't bringing the passion to Naruto that he once did, and as a result its been pretty bad for a long time, but that doesn't mean from the getgo he did it JUST for the money. That's crazy talk.
You have just earned my vote good sir.
