Oku is trolling LMAO. He didn't even use much of a different tactic to separate them. I bet Gantz was watching Kurono the whole time waiting for them to reunite with his finger on the transfer button (or worse the guys controlling the transfers last time got control again). It's funny cuz I thought he was gonna say maybe I should join my friends in the fight after getting Tae to safety or at least figure out why there's another him (or did he find that out already? I forget that too).

I've forgotten many names at this point, where is the esp kid? Last I remember he was killing a bunch of aliens with his ability alone all emotional cuz I think his girlfriend died (or was taken) or for some other reason. I can't recall if he was shown being killed or dying from his ability. Anybody else know?

He's one of the people that's unaccounted for since the incident you mentioned. Personally, I want to know what happened to the Vampire leader and his lackey… the guy left during the Osaka mission and hasn't been seen since. Also, we still haven't seen the guy who hacked the system and nearly buried Neji and the kid in a room of spider robots...

Oh shit, I forgot all about the vamps. Yeah that guy was a good character as well and has been ghost since. I figure w/e Neji and the kid are doing is the backup plot line to the main fight and Kei/Tae.

So, I'm confused about something. I thought that Kei was aware that they had made a copy of him. The way he acted in this chapter, he seemed a little freaked out that there was another Kei running around.

I think you got the Keis mixed up. Since the Kei that's fighting with Reika is the one reuploaded by her he's the one that knew that there was another him. The one that was reuploaded by Katou before. That's why he settled with Reika after knowing it would get things complicated if he returned to Tae.

He's just surprised to see him there. Just like he is surprised to see Kato and Reika.
I don't understand how you people get lost for this sort of things. It would be enough to take attention while reading.

Wasn't that last scene a giant plot hole? If you're holding someone and they get transferred, you get transferred with them. That's how the vampires got in. Unless Tae let go like a retard, but they skipped down to his ankles in the next page so.

I think he rejected her so that she would live. I think he purposely mentioned Tae so she'd hate him and leave. In the end seems she realized it and stayed. Kei has the memories of what happened to that tomb raider chick.

Before in Gantz you would have entire chapters or arcs to develop the monsters and what they're capable of and why the "players" and readers should fear them.

Now we get these random designs and no context to go on. The thing clearly has some sort of telekinetic pushes that are quite devastating… but I just want things to move on. The monsters have zero impact now.

I have to agree with this, even if I still like GANTZ as a whole, this arc lacks of development for the villains, a thing that made the past arcs great. Also, it's by far a better comment than "lol Tae sucks" or "Reika has big tits"

Well, Reika does have big tits. But this is GANTZ, so that really doesn't detract from the experience. If anything the manga has been lacking for a few years.

And Tae does suck, she should have stayed dead. Much more emotional impact from that event. Her ressurection could have been handled better or built on the story in a different more engaging way. Instead you have things the way they are now. It's tedious. I mean…. she literally has plot armor. With the way she's been written back in, she will not die. She can not... or well, it would just be terrible writing. Although at this point... i'm not sure if I can trust the mangaka.

But aside from that, I just feel the last enemy/monster to have real impact was the 100-point boss from the Osaka game. He quickly became a force to be feared. His many transformations were all elaborated on in one way or another. We had time spent with it. And it gave back. I mean shit.... it killed Oka unceremoniously off panel, but in doing so was quite a jolt to the reader and a very good twist. And it speaking to Katou was really fucking cool. Not surprisingly, that was the last chapter I truly enjoyed with this series.

Yeah, there's way too many loose ends. For example, where the crap is Himekawa (I think that's his name; the Head Vampire) and his subordinate? They disappeared during the Osaka mission and have not reappeared since. Also, it's a bit of a stretch that the one guy who had gotten 100 points several times was just one-shotted by the Osaka boss… that just seemed extremely forced and cheap. Plus, I cringe every time Tae is in a chapter... she has no personality whatsoever, wanders around like a decapitated chicken, and seems content to constantly cry for her "boyfriend" (Jeez, it's Orihime all over again). She also turns Kei into a moron when she's around, too, which is a reprehensible trait for a main character (coughTsunaandIchigocough). It's a solid series otherwise, though the action panels can be a little rushed at times.

Sometimes I feel this entire arc is a red herring masquerading as the final arc and we'll get a real arc where the main cast faces the creators of the missions and Gantz itself where we will get a full detailed explanation of how things came to be and this arc is just creating the setting of a post apocalyptic Earth in fallout.
