Finally got around to watching the episode.
Sanji: Actually had some personality, which is new. I loved the lines when he jumped ship. But he still needs to drop the American accent.
Drop it for what though? And pick up a what kind of accent exactly? The all have a standard general American accent because the voice actors are American… that and no one wanted funi giving them accents like the terrible ones that had been given them before.

Just because David Moo was an ear bleeding horror, doesn't mean you can't have accents.

This episode was great. The Straw Hats all sound natural now, even Sanji, who's Robin and Nami baby was a great substitute for suan and chuan.

The thing with the wine editing on both the 4kids and FUNi edits are…they leave the glass a wine glass. If people were truly complaining about that then the changing of the color of the liquid would not have done anything, as they could have been drinking a different type of wine. (this is a cartoon after all)

Eric Vale will do fine. I was more or less just okay with him at first because he was a person not named David Moo, but he pulled off the over-the-top "lovestruck" Sanji personality so well I feel guilty ever having doubted him.

Oh yeah, Conis definitely has a mustache of sorts. No really, it's just a prominent upper lip but it's annoying. For those of you who draw in a similar style, at least for me anyway, it's really hard to give a girl a defining physical trait without her total body falling apart.
When Vivi was introduced, she had a mole on the bottom lip, and it looked ugly as hell, so I guess Oda got rid of it once she 'joined' the crew. I expected him to do it with Conis as well, but he never did anything, which is a shame. But I suppose I can't blame him because it looked tolerable in the comics.

Conis' upper lip is. . .very prominent.
The anime should've just done to Conis what they did with Nojiko's prominent upper lip, and just shade it a slightly different color.

They're only airing 124 & 125 next week, but since CN airs two new Naruto episodes a night, is there a possibility they might preempt One Piece on the 29th? Or am I just paranoid? :ermm:

Viz uses the DVD masters, to which the one hour specials are separated. They'll show the same two episodes as always, with One Piece at 10:00pm.
heh… ever since that bombardment to CN when they preempted OP the first time, they've had zero time cuts, decent commercial slots, and ALWAYS showed the preview. Somehow I don't think they'll preempt One Piece again.
