Well, it is Naruto's 10th anniversary this year. This figures. It still probably won't get as much attention as One Piece though. I don't expect any Dragon Ball crossovers, or humongous anniversary celebration databook magazine things. Besides, this way we'll be able to compare Oda's spread to Kishimoto
and mock Kishimoto'sfairly judge between the two. -
Well, this seems like it is gonna be kinda of how the DB volumes did it with the characters running across the spine. So nothing new, which the series has a terrible habit of…. except this spine drawing has people going in the opposite direction... so Naruto is last?
Whatever, the One Piece ones were fun while they lasted. Nice of Shueisha to allow One Piece to get the whole year of the magazine's 40th. Can't wait till the 50th anniversary (cause OP will probably still be going...).

Naruto started in 1999. The 2009 numbering for Jump starts this week. Besides, I tend to count the year as beginning in September anyway, it's just how I view things.

I don't know which is sadder, that this is what we get or that I was expecting exactly that before I looked before I clicked on the spoiler button. Makes me wonder how many decades Togashi would need to finish such a thing.^^

Despite what many think…I'm okay with this. Its not perfect, but hey its Naruto's time to shine and to many who angry about this, don't forget that Oda might be doing a a picture of Naruto in his style. But seriously, guys let it go, One Piece fans had their due and now Naruto fans will get what they want.

Yes, but technically that's cause it was centering around One Piece. Now that it's centering around other series, you can go make a thread about it in General Anime/Manga, but you wont be getting the images or discussions here.

Well for those that don't like it, they don't want to look at the crap when the issues are on their bookshelf. Childish yes, but it is one of those series that I can understand the notion. I will probably paint the spine with black paint or something to avoid this issue. =D

Not really, I ain't gonna bitch. Still gonna purchase said item and just make my own adjustments to please myself. It is pretty much dealing with an annoyance that will only effect me, thus if I am the only one effected, why the hell not?

As for the One Piece thing, I can't believe it's finally complete! They look awesome! Good job to Greg, brennen and the others who helped with the scanning/merging.

All I can say about the '09 spines: "Viva Rock". That's all I really need to say. (and I actually like that Naruto ED so since its the series' 10th, just let it be and we'll bask in the glory of how awesome Oda's pic will be when the anniversary mag comes out later in the year) Besides, I loved the OP spines and the magazine year is over…so I say we just store our pics somewhere and close the thread.
