I think I finally figured out what went wrong there btw.. the day before I tried to kiss her, I told her some of my "pick up" stories, it even prompted her to say "where do you find these girls??" So I probably triggered her "player-alert" which is why she probably didn't want to go with it right away. Hell, I even told her the day before "I don't like girls who are easy".. so she was kinda living up to my standards the day after lol. Crap, lesson learned. On a different note, damn today I had a smooth pick-up. I was really proud of myself of how cool I played it and how calm I stayed.
Situation: At a bar, not too crowded, I see two girls sitting on a bench. They look a bit bored. The one at the outer edge was a hottie, so I walk up to her.
me: "Hi. Can I come sit with you guys?"
her: (smile) "Eh.. sure.. you can sit over there" points next to her friend
me: "can't I sit over her" (next to her)

So I start talking to her about her studies, where she lives etc. Turns out she was actually just leaving, but still waiting for a friend and that she needed a ride cuz she lived far away. So I talk to her some more, tell her some short stories that make her laugh. Occasionally I let there be a little lull in the convo, to show that I'm not too eager. When I run out of things to say, I go:
me: "Don't you have something interesting to tell me?"
her: "what do you mean?"
me: "well maybe you have something interesting that happened to you that you can tell me?"
So she starts telling me about this sheep whose life she saved today. Lol that was funny =)
me: "wow you're really a good person"
Anyway, a bit later she talks to her friend for a bit and then turns to me
her: "what is your name actually? I'm Marie"
me: "I'm jack. Nice to meet you Marie" shakes her hand
her: "We're gonna leave now.."
me: "Ok. Give me your number then I'll call you later."
her: "Ok"
I give her my cell, she types in her number
her: "do you already have a marie?"
me: "no.." (lol)
So I wish her and her friend a good night and walk back to my friends. I was pretty proud of how calm and collected I stayed through the whole thing. Although it seems like the "hyper enthousiastic" approach is better if I want to score the girl that night then and there. I'm gonna play around with these things in the future some more to see what is good for what purpose etc.

I never fight. I've only gotten mad and started screaming once in my life.. about 5-6 years ago. I'm a really cold-blooded person I guess. According to my friends I look like I don't give a fuck about anything. And according to one pretty close friend who can take more liberties in honesty I sometimes get "without any emotion.. there is really no other word for it besides apathic". That's probably when I'm lost in thought. I'm simply a rational thinker. Analysing, seeing that this causes that (like: this behavior causes these kinds of reactions in people) is how I am. Like two thursdays ago I was too hyper and we kinda flocked around girls like predators, which got us not so favorable reactions cuz we musta looked like a pack of horny dogs. (the new year just started so I've been inactive for a while and I had to relearn the skills lol) So I realized this the day after and figured a more laid back approach would make me look less needy and more desirable. So yeah, then I tried that and it worked a lot better. But then I was thinking I was probably too laid back - not to get a number, but if I wanted to score her that night, a more enthousiastic approach was probably needed to get her in the mood right away. (that's how it worked in the past) So more research is still needed. I actually didn't want to kiss a girl now cuz things are still up and the air with the other girl and she was really trying to entice me this week so I just stuck to some target-practice :)
Oh and I think I finally figured out for real what is up with her. Damn, she actually told me but it kinda never got through until yesterday. So now I atleast know what to say and how to handle her, atleast if I'm right but I'm pretty sure I am. And the other girl, the one that 'walked in'.. I realized yesterday that she's been avoiding me. Lol I'm so slow with these kinds of things. All in all pretty amusing. Well what I think he said was that sex in a traditional sense was just to wait for marriage, but times have changed. But he's just an old fashion kind of guy, and he wants to leave it at that.

What does it matter? If you have a strong conviction about something, then you should be able to say it. If someone wants to say "I think the human race was meant to be vegetarian", it doesn't bother me. On the other hand, if someone says "I think eating meat should be against the law and nobody should have a choice in the matter", then there's a problem.
as for the STDs, using condom is former but the best way to not have STDs. i really can't understand why people don't use it. no matter what the circumstances are.
Condoms do break sometimes, it's not foolproof. But I agree that if you are going to go have sex with multiple people a condom should be a necessity.

I must agree that on most topics, this is something that gets to me, when people say it must be a certain way and no else has a choice. I'm not like that until it comes to these kinds.
However, I will be unable to tell you where it says "that's the way it should be" without getting into a religious argument. If you really want me to, go ahead and say so, but if you want to avoid an argument (as I'm sure we all do), we'll just say no more about it.
as for the STDs, using condom is former but the best way to not have STDs. i really can't understand why people don't use it. no matter what the circumstances are.
If I recall correctly, condoms have about a 60% chance of actually working (or not working, can't remember which; either way it's not a positive statistic), and as CosmicDebris said, they sometimes break. So while it gives some protection, it's not enough to guarantee anything.
The BEST way to avoid STDs is to remain abstinate till marriage, then marry someone who stayed pure as well. Again, this isn't just my opinion, and this has actually been proven by statistics.

Oh you're a girl, didn't know. And yeah i can totally appreciate a woman who is open about her sexuality. What I can't appreciate however is a slut. Well I always tell my friends like "sluts are good" but truth be told, in practice it's not very appealing 'to go where so many have gone before'. A year and a half ago I chatted up a girl and when she left to get us all beers (yeah I'm a lazy bastard) a friend came up to me and he was like "you sure work fast.. that girl is like paris hilton man, all you gotta do now is fuck her all night and then toss her". But I ended up doing nothing. Dunno, kinda got the vibe she sleeps around a lot and that's not very appealing.
About the Italian one from today. She's definately open about her sexuality (as you can probably tell from the part of the convo I posted) but I don't think she sleeps around a lot. And she was so happy to see me and whenever I talked to her she got all happy too and she looked so excited about coming over and going out that it just made me feel good ^^
(dunno it always makes me feel like a "man" when a woman goes all happy and chatty around me while I'm kinda macho calm.. like how she was telling me all hyper how crazy she gets when she becomes drunk.. and I was like all cool "np I can handle that".. and the way to my heart is to make me feel like a man I guess)
But anyway, i think the way the girl on sunday described it is actually kinda the perfect way to be for a woman. You don't deny your sexuality but you do put restraint on it and you only kinda let go when you're in a relationship. Not a slut and not a prude. I can totally appreciate that.
