You could always go with his Skypiea puppets. There's the marines from his first appearance during the Shichibukai meeting. And there's the standard Bellamy, which would throw in an Unlimited Cruise reference also.

Man, one time my sis, me, our friend Charli and her ex we all went to a park here in our town. Of COARSE we went in One Piece, I dressed as Sanji, Charli dressed as Zoro, we had a Luffy and then my sis was Usopp. We were dressed..SEMI-normal..but..going to a park dressed up when it's NOT Halloween? Yeah..we got stares big time xD LOL It was fun, I miss doing spontaneous cosplay just for the hell of it. I'm hoping when we move down to Texas we can get some of our friends to do it with us, that is if they're still into cosplay in a couple of years xDDD

Also, if you don't feel like putting on eyeliner (I suck at it ;_; why do I suck at it…), just mascara and some lipstick will be just fine to get the girly look without making your face up, Nami doesn't really wear any noticeable make-up anyway.

Just for fun I charted a coarse from here to Otakon's convention center, then charted a coarse from here to AX's convention center and Fanime's convention center. HOLY HELL. It takes 25+ hours to drive to Fanime, 21+ hours to drive to AX, and 19 Hours to drive to Otakon. Well..looks like my sis and I might be flying to anything in CA x_x; But we're all up for that drive to Otakon xD It's too much fun not to since we've been before, but I've never personally even been to the side of the country CA is on xD Flying is scary..but.. I dunno..beat 25 hours of driving x__x;
And also.. SHIT. AX and Otakon are in the same month…I'm thinking we may switch to trying to go to Fanime, especially since Ichnob and the rest of them are still planning to do the Davy Back fight at Fanime too, and JM and Klar are both planning to go to that, I wanna meet as many awesome peoples as possible traveling THAT far away from home ;_; We'll see what happens XD Might not be able to attend all the days for Fanime/AX, but who knows x_x;; Too far ahead to tell, plus Fanime's not on a holiday weekend most likely, which means a better chance I'll be able to go.
I've got my fingers crossed either way xD

Flying is not scary compared to being on that long of a road trip. 19 hours is CRAZY. Also, Fanime and AX are more than a month apart (Fanime is Memorial Day weekend in May, AX is 4th of July weekend) so it might be hard to do both in one trip. If you pick one though, go for all the days. It's too long of a distance to only go for part of the con! -
OH SHIT..it's on a Holiday weekend? CRAP =_=; My job frowns upon asking for days of for a Holiday, chances are they won't let me at ALL.
AND YES 25 hours is TOO MUCH TO DRIVE. The only plane I've ever flown on was a Military cargo plane, a C-130 back when I was in ROTC in high school xD That plane..was awesome..never been on an actual airliner. They scare me for some reason ;___; The only thing that REALLY truely scares me is them losing my luggage, and not being able to bring super complicated costumes because of how much I'd have to pack x_x;

Plus you'll be free to do what you want. Work on whatever cosplay you want, and go to any freaking convention you want. And I'd probably dress up and go somewhere with you. XD

Saobody Usopp shorts almost done. Jo-Ann Fabric finally got the brand of fabric paint I was looking for initially, Tulip. When I tried painting it last week, I was using Jacquard, which after 4+ coats still didn't look at bright as 1 coat of Tulip paint.

I do thrive for freedom like that, for the cosplay and cons xD, but I feel it'll be freedom that I pay for and freedom I won't have much time for once I get a regular job there xD I hope I can find something that is AMAZING so I won't have to just scrape by pay check to paycheck ... that scares me too ... xD;

Tulip Fabric Paint versus Jacquard Fabric Paint
For me, Tulip beats out Jacquard when it comes to using bright paint on dark fabric. If you ever find a place where you live that does carry it, I highly recommend it.
Jacquard it pretty good when it comes to the reverse: painting dark colors on light colored fabric. Iroha used some Jacquard fabric paint for painting the kanji on our friend's Smoker jacket. I haven't tried Tulip, but I'm pretty sure that it'll work great also.

If you both are working, and could pull in…. hmmm... doesnt help she doesnt pay for anything
You could find a simple one bedroom apartment for $600 something a month, or possibly a 2 bedroom apartment for a bit more, get basic cable (if you want TV, that wont be too expensive every month) , theres some places with DSL for $20 a month, just use your cellphones for phones, pay that bill, utilities, your insurance, plus whatever else you may have.
If you are conservative in your spending, you might get away with just having a bit over $1000 monthly in bills. I'm sure someone else could give you a more exact estimate. Eat in rather then eat out and you might only have to spend a couple hundred dollars (if that much, depends on how much you eat) or so on food every month. Be frugal where you can, and if you are both working decent jobs (They keep building new stuff all the freakin time down here so its not like there aren't any jobs.) and working enough hours where you can each pull in $1000+ a month then you're most likely going to survive XD Put your money towards the expenses of living down here rather then all the extras like super shiny furniture and what not. Basic things will be ok until you can spare the extra change to buy newer things.
Then start saving a lot of your extra monies and get work experience for bigger and better jobs and eventually you'll be in a more comfortable situation.
I've been worrying about it myself because it all sounds so undoable to me, but it really is doable. People live like this all the time, just have to give up on the comfort of living at home if you really want to make it, be self sufficient, and in most of our cases be happier XD
And theres so many people down here for you to cosplay in public with XD That's a huge bonus. The comradery really makes me not want to move away, but the desire to not have a headache every day and feel like I'm thinking through a bubble is a pretty strong contender as well XD (yeah its not very good I've done some EXTREMELY careless thinking while in this state of sinus emo =_=)

Alright, the wait is over. Cosplay is done…sort of. Just a few finishing touches on the last two, but nothing to get stressed about. Now, here's my Comic Con cosplays:
! Crimson Avenger (as seen on Justice League Unlimited)
! I decided to go with the JLU version rather than his original costume. I didn't want to get confused with The Spirit, and I didn't want to wear his other superhero costume with tights. Here's a reference shot from the cartoon.
! Also, this costume is freaking hot. Started sweating while wearing it around the house. I'm soooo gonna die at Comic Con. >.<

! I like how the shirt turned out with the dye. I thought I made it too dark, but putting it in the wash an extra time made it light enough that it seemed okay. Fabric paint came out great on the shorts. I like my new armband, and I really like the prototype goggle frames. Can't wait to actually make Usopp's goggles later. The pic is actually to show that the hat is way too big for my liking. But deciding to do this cosplay in a little over a week didn't give me enough time to find the right hat. I'll most likely replace it with a hat I buy online after Comic Con.

Glad you asked, Coral. Goggles are made out of a metal pipe compression coupling. Google "compression coupling" and you'll find the parts. Had to cut the inner pipe that's threaded, which holds the lens in place within. You could also just remove the threaded pipe all-together and just glue the lenses in place if needed. Always remember safety when cutting metal.
And you'll notice when you google search, they also have a PVC version as well. I needed the metal version, because they are currently held in place by a magnet underneath the hat.

And yes Coral, I was very inspired by steampunk accessories to make those goggles. Basically, the guy who dressed up as Blackbeard at AX and myself spent almost 3 hours walking around Home Depot looking for cosplay inspiration. I found those within the first hour, and he found slightly cheaper ones around the third hour. That was like a convention exhibit hall walk in itself! Oh, and the lenses are circles cut out from clear plastic picnic plates. And I sharpied them black because I'm lazy.

Now that my Inazuma wig seems like a serious possibility I'm waiting until we get an official color scheme before I go out and start working on the costume. I'm not 100% sure that the orange and white from the colorspread is accurate, as many other characters have changed aspects of themselves for that, or perhaps Inazuma changes colors every arc or so. Irregardless, I'd prefer for him to be white and black because as the campaign said, he's fucking classy.

I ordered the wig a few days ago, and after I did I discovered that this particular type of wig doesn't take to wig dye very well DDDX I hope it's able to take enough to atleast tint the wig orange a bit, or Kaku will be blonde for AFest (I've got other wigs to buy @_@ don't think I'll be able to do another one in time). It says the sharpie method doesn't really work on it either, they don't take ink well….

I'm trying to figure out the airport to fly to to be closet to the convention center and can you reserve a hotel yet that's nearby I wonder?? I just.. OH MY GOD MUST RESERVE MUST BOOK FLIGHT Dx it's driving me CRAZY
and I'm thinking of all this and still have NO JOB u__u what's WRONG WITH ME!?

the Marionette is the hotel pretty much conneceted to the Convention site. Not to sure gotta ask Iroha.

is there hotels within walking distance from the San Jose Convention center? My sis and I are getting ready to start seriously planning for Fanime!!! We're gonna fly and everything o__O god I can't believe we're gonna fly xD Beats the 25 hour car ride LEMME TELL YA O______________________________________o

Woo…free wifi at Comic Con! Totally waiting for the DC Animated Universe panel because I'm a huuuuuuuuge Kevin Conroy fan.
Buuhan: It was made using two different pieces of craft foam. First one was already layered with gold and glitter, so I just cut it out in the proper shape. The bottom layer was of a much thicker piece of craft foam (about 3x thicker), and it was much harder to cut out without there being imperfections. It's what happens when you don't cut slowly. I tried using balsa wood, but way too flimsy.
MoonNeko: As Syn said, there is one hotel that is literally next to the convention center. Can't remember the name, and Iroha isn't in the panel with me, so can't ask her. HOWEVER! The elevators at the hotel are super slow to move. Which sucks when you just want to get to the con. Recommend getting a room on a single digit floor.
