Average episode this week, but man am I stoked for the next.
The preview was really weird, but more plot development and more Locke and Ben can't possibly be bad

Too many tornado warnings on my TV that I only got to see the last 4 minutes of the office and the last 30 minutes of LOST (probably about 15 minutes of actual footage).
I would comment…but certain people would be mad because of my spoiler knowledge so I'll tag it if anyone wants to know.
[EDIT: I'm using KeyHole TV to watch the first half hour shortly. I think I have to wait 2 hours for that]
This episode was okay for me. Of course I've never liked the Jack (or Kate) episodes. I know they're the main characters and thus they're entitled to more episodes, but I just don't find them interesting. Also, as with other Jack/Kate episodes, it didn't really advance the plot, just some character development.
That being said, things I did like about this episode.
-Kate talking with Sawyer post-island, so that doesn't mean that all the non-Oceanic-sixers necessarily died.
-The whole Sawyer/Claire/Miles subplot.
-There is now no doubt that Rousseau and Carl are dead (Not that I'm glad they're dead, I just wanted the clarification).
-Sun and Jin's little asides.
-Whoa, so Daniel has a thing for Charlotte? Didn't see that coming.
So yeah, overall a fair episode, and I can't wait till next week to find out who this dead guy is. Wonder if it's Jacob.
LOST is on Keyhole right now, so I am watching it.
Very good episode, though not as much as good as the last one.
Hoped for more Locke-action, but as we all know, Lost can really be a slow-ass g So, it was no surprise not to see Cabin-babbling.
Now, what's up with the thing Kate "did" for Sawyer? Some kind of memorial-service or did she infact TALK to him? (To stay clear on that, I don't think, they're having contact with the people on the island.)
And now I'm pretty sure, Claire's heading straight to Locke and the others or to the cabin, where they will finally meet up. Eitherway, I think she will get in touch with the Cabinparty. Cause, hell, where else could CHRISTIAN lead her? XP
And… Now think about this. It seemed as if Miles saw Christian, or at least HEARD him. (To me, it seemed like that, the way he talked about the situation.)
So: Did Miles see him, just cause he's an paranormal-spirit-dude, or is it something entirely else? Just the facts that Christian's dead, and Miles is such an ghost-whisperer add up fairly easy for me. So, hopefully, we'll get at least some answers on the upcoming episode.
@Senshi:
! And Hurley's creepiness grows the more we see him off the island.
Yes indeed oh and fuck spoilers-
1- I hate Jack eps.
2- I have lost all appreciation in Mike cuz he was an ass for not waking Sawyer up when Claire dissapeared
3- Hurley was badass in this ep.
4- The newspaper Jack was reading is apparently dated August 2007 or so Lostpedia notes
5- WTF; KEAMY AND HIS MEN ARE ALIVE?!?!?!?!?!!??!!? BUT THE BLACK SMOKE KILLED THEM?!!?!??!?!?!
And, we learn that the Oceanic 6 can communicate with others on the island. It's good to know that Sawyer, and maybe a few other of the survivors are still alive there.
I get the feeling that Locke might take Ben's place on the island by the end of the series. And I hope next time we find out the reason behind Hurley's "Sorry I followed Locke." line when he met Jack.
And, we learn that the Oceanic 6 can communicate with others on the island. It's good to know that Sawyer, and maybe a few other of the survivors are still alive there.
Doubt that. Probably a parting promise. Since Kate actually knows Sawyer's daughter's mother, no doubt she was doing something with her for Clementine that Sawyer asked her to do when she left.
SO!
This episode: -_-
Me watching this episode: HOLY FUCK JESUS DONKEY ASS RAPER DANIELLE IS ACTUALLY FUCKING DEAD!!!!!!???????
Out of anything I think that was the single biggest surprise in the episode for me. Not that it wasn't interesting….just....I canNOT believe she's actually dead! Wowowow! They must have one helluva idea to tell her story....well....not if she's who I think she is but still. Gosh, that was a shock. How tragic.
So the rest of it.
I'll be totally honest.
It had me.
There was a period of about 5 minutes where I was running through the idea of entertaining the possibility of contemplating the ramifications of what might have happened if Jack died during the surgery. For a moment, I almost thought it would happen. Just a moment. Damn you Hurley and your insane-ass ramblings about being in Heaven, DAMN YOU!
So yeah, Claire has to raise her baby. That's a sunk three-point-shot for Darlton. Hooray for them for not forgetting that aspect.
Almost everyone in an episode….DOING PRODUCTIVE SHIT!???? What is this Season 1? Oh yeah, no Sayid and Desmond but whatever, I'd prefer to let that mystery dangle a bit more. And Ben and Locke PSH! Yeah right, like they'd give us LOST's two biggest walking mind-fucks in Ben & Locke's Bogus Journey one week after a Ben episode.
Jack has no scar on his beautiful naked body in Kate's bed? WTF?
Jack's pathway to insanity HANDLED WITH SKILL AND GRACE! BRAVO! Scene where Jack is interrupted after seeing his dad? Sorry, that deserves an Emmy right there. Small scene, not exactly a huge swooning emotional moment, but Fox did a FUCKING SOLID JOB of portraying that moment in his life and the emotions/conflict surrounding him which would become his biggest leap into the depths of his downward spiral. If you have it saved on Tivo watch that small segment again. It's pure gold.
Juliet is going to have a very, very sad and selfless end to her story. I can just feel it. She's going to be the punching bag of the show which is heartbreaking considering all the good she's WANTED to do since the start.
Not the greatest episode, especially after last weeks' EXPLOSO-EXTRAVANGANZA WITH BEN THE TIME CONQUERER but a necessary one and a great setup for what's to come.
My heart let out a big sigh of relief when I heard them talk of Sawyer as if he was alive. That's been my biggest fear I can check off my list. Up next? Jin.
Next week cannot fucking come fast enough.
Yeah, I hope Jin is still alive, too, especially since he's one of my favorite characters. And, since his grave said that he died in the crash, it's not entirely impossible either. I know we've said that before, but I really hope it's true.
The only one of the Oceanic 6 who's closest to normal is Sun. I don't think we can say much about Aaron, but nothing good can come out of discovering that he's adopted.
I'm really starting to think the island is indeed, Hell. At least in someway. Christian being there kind of seals the deal. I think by the end of this season we'll know pretty much what the island actually is.
And why did Christian being in the hospital make the smoke detector go off? Definitely gotta be something to do with the smoke monster, or something like that.
their taking a hell of a time to start dubing.damn.
I'm a bit disappointed about Rosseau being dead. Now, we may never know about her past on the island, aside from what she's already said. Unless they decide to tell her story through someone else's flashback.
Yeah, Rousseau being dead for real was a shock.
I'm hoping she'll get a posthumous flashback, since it's kind of odd to leave her story untold.
Her story will be told.
Now, we may never know about her past on the island, aside from what she's already said. Unless they decide to tell her story through someone else's flashback.
If she is who I think she is, that's exactly what they're going to do.
If she is who I think she is, that's exactly what they're going to do.
Darlton said that her past will be explained whether she lived or died (said before she got shot).
^Maybe we'll know of her past from Ben's perspective?
Here's some very interesting stuff coming up…
First:
The same old story, Heroes in comparison to Lost... LOL Yeah. This time concerning Jeph Loeb. Yeah, we all know, he was a writer for Lost, but he's also one Co-Executive Producer on Heroes.
Something I've found way back, concerning his new Hulk-Series (as he's also a comic-writer) he said in an interview on IGN
Loeb: One of the things I've learned as a writer and executive producer on Heroes is that your audience wants the answers quickly - as long as they are satisfying - and then they are okay with more questions.
And, Greg, as I still hold your excellent Heroes/Lost-mega-comparison-post in very high regards, this is for you.
Now, isn't that the spirit, we all know from Heroes? Cheap, fast answers, nobody even cares about?
So, Mr. Loeb, why then is Lost the exact opposite of what you now told us? Fans are waiting YEARS for answers and well… Nobody has given up hope, yet. The show is still at it's top.
And now the second thing, concerning Rousseau:
I just read an interview on a croatian-netpage (I'm originally from Croatia) with Goran Gajic, who's the husband of Mira Furlan. (Rousseau in Lost)
Since I'm still able to speak Croatian, I'll give my best, to translate it for you guys. XD
Q: Why did your wife stop shooting "Lost":
GG: She got bored of Hawaii. As the Lost-cast calls it, jokingly, she caught the "island fever". However, she didn't want to be on that island anymore, no matter how beautiful it is, she didn't want to work that job, so she made a deal with the producers to kill her character off.
Q: How did they kill her?
Shot her. But, as her character is pretty popular with fans of the series, they left the possibility for her to return next season.
So, Furlan wanted Rousseau to be killed off. That caught me by surprise. But her, not returning, is just not possible. At least in a flash-back. But it really seemed to me, as if it was rushed a bit; her death, I mean... Well, now we now she's really dead. At least for the rest of the season. ;-P
Her story will be told.
If she is who I think she is, that's exactly what they're going to do.
Who do you think she is?
Who do you think she is?
It's not anything I read online but I'm going to spoiler it anyway on the off-chance it happens to be right.
! I think she's Annie. Ben obviously had feelings for her and we never saw evidence of her during the purge. Whether she's been acting this whole time or not I'm not sure but if NOT then I think she's been subjected to time in that brain scrambling room where Ben purposefully made her someone 'else' to avoid being seen with him. I think he did this to protect her from people like Richard who wanted the entire team terminated.
Wait…..J. Loeb's writing both LOST and Heroes?
@Freeman-12:
Wait…..J. Loeb's writing both LOST and Heroes?
He was mostly active as a supervising producer, during Season 2. So he still played an active part, if you want to believe it or not. I was shocked, as well… XP

Oh yeah, I remember you mentioning that after "The Man Behind the Curtain"
Part of me is actually hoping that it's true.
Part of me believes it's the only logical way they can wrap up her story. And I don't mean as far as taking another route, I mean with respect to how the story could make sense. I mean, otherwise the whole deal with Alex doesn't really make sense.
Plus that scene where Ben talked to Danielle in the S04E01 as if they were old buddies would make sense.
Uh….evidently Danielle's actress WANTED to be written out of the show though -_- laaaaaaame.
On an unrelated note. The title alone of the next episode is enough to wet my loins. I mean, 'Cabin Fever'? How much more OMFG can you get than that.
edit:
GBDASZNCK!!!!!

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Awesome, I was wondering what was going to become of Richard, he seemed to know the inner workings of things, possibly much more than Ben.
Richard's not that great, and neither is the part that he filmed.
I found it interesting that he was on the island (after Juliet's FB), but I didn't really care too much about him. I guess I want his story told, since he is the only named other left, but I really don't care too much.
Richard, he's the new Ben.
Just for speculation's sake I kinda hope we find out that Richard Alpert was the captain of the Black Rock.
We need to reinstate the rep system.
http://lostmediamentions.blogspot.com/2008/05/macys-lost-mothers-day-advert.html
I wish I could claim I made that, but apparently it's a real ad for Macy's, they also did one with Aaron and Claire that wasn't nearly as funny.

No FUCKING way! You can't be serious. That's FUCKED up!
I found the Alex one kind of funny after first seeing it. Then, it became about 100 times funnier after finding out that it was a real advert. I'm sitting hear gasping for air laughing at it.
It's messed up, but I can't help but crack up.
No FUCKING way! You can't be serious. That's FUCKED up!
To be honest it looks like the Claire one in that link is real, but it looks like someone took the bottom part of that real ad and used it to make the Alex one, it does seem too fucked up to be real.
Al-fucking-right!
! We've got the return of Richard!
….what?!
that's all I gotta say about that ending.
ahaha candy bar
the cutest scene in lost ever
It was a weird episode in general.
! I'm really wondering about Christian now, they better give answers next time.
! Glad to see Richard back, though still no revelations on Jacob or the smoke monster.
Haha, yeah the candy bar scene was great
Yeah, I got a few giggles out of Hurley and Ben with the candy bar.
And was that Abadon (Creepy black guy with Naomi and the "Oceanic attornery" who visited Hurley) who we saw with Locke's rehab?
Holy Shit, Awesome Episode!
Best scene was Abbadon & Locke in the FB at the Hospital
"You should go on a walkabout".
I can't wait to see Greg's reaction to this episode.
I was really thinking Abaddon was Jacob when he told John we'd meet again. But then we got Christian popping up in the cabin, and John saying we have to move the island?!
Good god. That was certainly one of the best episodes of LOST, ever.
One of the most interesting parts so far was Locke's "We have to move the island." line.
Move the island? That reminds me of Secret of NIMH.
And just who the hell is Christian Sheppard? But, I think the most important question is: What connection does he have with Jacob?
What the FUCK is up with Claire!!!!?????
Why is she sitting there totally cool with her Dad on the fuckin' smirking as if she knows the secrets of the island in the middle of the night in a creepy-ass-fucking cabin!!!????
Her sitting there smiling was easily the most disturbing scene since, "Help me."
Richard staring at baby John? Scared the ever living out of me. I literally jumped back and hit my head on the fuckin' wall. And I'm sorry, choosing the next 'chosen' one via Dalai Lama method? Sweeeeeet. John really is special.
You know the best part? It makes so much damn sense. Ben getting sick, John getting better. The island or the forces associated with it WANTED that to happen which just…bravo Darlton, bravo. It seems VERY clear that, that is PRECISELY the idea they had in mind from the start of Season 3 and now it makes PERFECT sense. No wonder he's so goddamn afraid of John, because he's being downsized for the new improved Islandnator JL-1000.
Freaking Abbadon. WHO'S SIDE IS HE ON!!!!????? He hires Naomi but he wants to help John!? WHAT THE FUCK!!!???
Did anyone else realize that the plane crash in now officially John's fault? His deciding to go to Australia is what initiated the chain of strange events that led to him crashing on the island because it was his, say it with me, "Destiny!"
Here's the thing though. How are they going to tie up the time discrepancy? I mean, I'm not saying it's impossible or anything, but just....the doctor arrived dead right? But like.....between when they found the body and the helicopter that was like what? 2 days??? They threw the body overboard right? But travelled there with helicopter? What the shit? You're telling me the doctor's body floated to the island faster than the helicopter could fly there? That's starting to bother me. I hope they don't start creating ENORMOUS plot holes because of the time aspect.
Awesome episode, just really quite well constructed and executed. One for the record books. And this was almost a year ago from "The Man Behind the Curtain". Coincidence? With premature births in each episode? Where a mother calls out her son's name in desperation? Both dealing with the cabin? One where John is very much lost and one where he is clearly in control? Yeah. Awesome.
I'm guessing if the island can move it's location, it can move it's position in time too. The island itself is probably unstuck in time.
Yeah, the whole thing about the island being ahead in time is kind of confusing. I'm guessing it's some kind of unique property that really hasn't been fully explained yet. I'm starting to get sort of a grasp as to what it can do, though.
I'm thinking the season finale will have the fast forwards finally meeting the present. Cause from the previews, it looks like the Oceanic 6 get off next episode.
Part 1 of the finale has the Oceanic 6 getting off the island, and part 2/3 has the fastforward (maybe flashback at this point) and the present blending, and finally they meet at the end of the episode.
….what?!
that's all I gotta say about that ending.
That did not mindfuck me in the slighest, plus it explains how Ben get stranded in a desert.
Anyway Ep. 11…HOLY SHIT-
MINDUFCKING TO THE MAX!!!!
This ep. seems to confirm that the island is lost in time; hence why the doctor appeared to have died AFTER the call Jack and co. made.
The only things I hated about Locke's flashbacks was that scene when he was a teenager, still…Abaddon WTF.
I mean seriously, Richard: You aren't Chosen/Special
Abbadon: You are Chosen/Special
The other being Claire acting like everything is cool, not needing to worry about her baby or anything in the world just cuz she's now a part of Christian's club really annoyed me.
Wonder if Horace has anything else to connect him to Jacob other than the fact that he built his cabin?
Speaking of which that time loop scene of Horace cutting down the tree=EPIC!
Oh and if Horace is correct...this places the Purge on Dec. 19 1992.
This ep. gets a full fucking 5 out of 5!
Here's the thing though. How are they going to tie up the time discrepancy? I mean, I'm not saying it's impossible or anything, but just….the doctor arrived dead right? But like.....between when they found the body and the helicopter that was like what? 2 days??? They threw the body overboard right? But travelled there with helicopter? What the shit? You're telling me the doctor's body floated to the island faster than the helicopter could fly there? That's starting to bother me. I hope they don't start creating ENORMOUS plot holes because of the time aspect.
The island is lost in time, so dead bodies can get to it faster than a helicopter , it'll get explained, I mean come on; Ben was catapulted a year into the future after the island moved.
BTW if anyone can get their dirty hands on Mystery Tales #40 (the one Richard showed John as a kid) hook us up, cuz I got nothing…
Here's some more good news coming our way:
http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/hr/content_display/news/e3if1d4beff617a2bbe20e35608c75f9342
17 episodes for both the 5th and 6th season!
! The Orchid is cannon? I thought that was just some goofy Dharma video shown just for Comic Con last year.
! wow Claires mom, Nice way to add more of a burden to Jack lol.
! 2 weeks? T_T
These next 2 weeks can't pass by any sooner! It's like this episode really set the stage for what I hope is an unbelievable season finale. We've got Locke about to move the island, the Others (Or is it the Hostiles?) with Sayid and Kate, and whole crapload of explosives on the freighter.
Yeah, everyone seems completely screwed at the moment.
Next week looks insane, I really can't wait to see how everything comes together.
