I didn't see anything about this from a search, and I don't remember if this was on the old boards, so sorry if this has been discussed before. I think I figured out Doflamingo's power. The Hone Hone fruit (bone).

I originally thought it was some kind of puppet power, but I had a revelation when I realized Bellamy's symbol (originally Doflamingo's) was a stylized skull, and his ship had the same symbol as figurehead but with vertebrae and ribs. This DF would have to be a logia fruit, based on the fact that he was able to control those marines at the marine/Shichibukai meeting. I think he was moving their bones around like Crocodile can manipulate sand.

i also thought he was some sort of puppeteer but i don't know how they can explain that without looking like they copied naruto. so yea, i think it's a df power and i hope it has some sort of weakness cuz i'll bet luffy will have to fight him some time in the future ;).

I don't think there's much fear of Naruto copycat accusations. The manga only recently began REALLY focusing on Puppeteering. Before that the only puppet master was Kankuro and he was a minor character at best at the time.

But I think Donquixote came first.

And if it were just body controlling then it would be Trigun who Op was copying.

I just assumed that the power was to control the nervous system like Legato Bluesummers or Professor X

mind control is very unlikely to be it...i mean when we first saw robin i bet we all thought she used telekinesis to knock the weapons out of the strawhats but it ended up being hands

I knew it wasn't mind control!!!!!!! Why? Because the people could say stuff. :P

Very interesting, but I would still see his DF as paramecia fruit because I doubt that Doflamingo can TURN INTO bones.

ANY accusation of copying from Naruto to One Piece or from One Piece to Naruto is absolute bullshit. There were SO MANY manga in the past that it is IMPOSSIBLE not to end up copying something. For example there was a puppeteer Gung Ho Gun in Trigun and two different in Flame of Recca.
Also if you look at both manga you'll notice a lot more similarities than just that. It's simply because both Oda and Kishimoto were huge Dragon Ball fans, they have more or less the same age and they created a very similar type of manga.

All pirate flags, for the most part, are stylized skulls.

I personally thought that it was "puppet" paramecia. The way he moves his hands like a puppeteer pulling his strings.. but it's very possible it's indeed a bones paramecia (not logia however, then he'd be sprouting bones everywhere like that guy from naruto).. that would be interesting as it makes Luffy again resistent to its powers just like with Eneru :)

btw, I think it's very likely that the next arc, or the next big arc atleast (if we're gonna get another intermediate after w7), will be around Doflamingo. From the things said, he seems to be plotting his own new world order on some island (and everything is going well), and Bellamy even hinted at the encounter of the strawhats with Doflamingo in his dying words.

i think he can only control non DF users, b/c as you can see, that he couldn't or didnt try to control bellamy. idk. maybe thats just a coincidence. if thats the case, then luffy wont have a problem fighting him unless dofalmingo uses zoro, and sanji as shields.

I thought he did control him by forcing him to stand there and take it. But that's my take on it.

he forced sirkis to attack bellamy and i would say controlled belamy to take it. if u were being attacked would u just stand there and take it? if it were me i would at least run… the fact that bellamy was screaming to doflamingo to stop COULD mean to ask him to stop sirkis attacking him OR ask him to stop controlling himslef and sirkis...

Cool idea. I nv imagined Doflamingo's power to be Logia. Its possible.

However powerful his DF may seem, I think Luffy wont have a serious prob
with it.. I'm guessing Luffy's great determination and mental strength will
overcome any "control" Doflamingo puts on him

Another thing, even if Doflamingo controls someone as powerful as Luffy, I doubt
he can actually "use" Luffy's powers well. The best example I can think of is when
Son WuKong had his body swapped in DB. The villian couldnt max out his power
'cos he didnt have WuKong's training and determination.

I don't think those rings are supposed to be ribs. They look more like Bellamy's springs to me.

i dont think he can manipulate gravity… gravity doesnt control peoples actions... it would have to be more of a puppeteer thing

guys its just a mistake! no point debating over wat his original name is… his name's son goku and keep it at that! but bak to the topic, i think phlemingo is too mysterious... there were only like 2 or 3 chapters on him, it is too hard to determine wat he can do with his "powers."

yes it may be based off the chinese mythological stories or watevr but this is a japanese manga not chinese japanese which means they will use the japanese name! japanese ppl also know of that story and they call him "son goku." as toriyama akira is japanese im sure he would use the japanese name of this character…

DoesnÂ´t matter anyway. The DragonBall protagonist is called Son Goku. ItÂ´s a character of his own and therefore Son Goku is this characterÂ´s original name.

actually I'm pretty sure both the Dragonball and journey to the west guy are called son goku in japan..
but still the manga dragonball was made in japan so I'll go by what they call him there.

The liquid devil fruit. Yeah seems pretty far fetched but he can control the blood in the body of the victim or just make water appear there. Just a speculation though ^^

Didnt rem wat the main character is called in DB, so juz used Wukong.

Hmm.. there are easiler ways to kill pple with the Water DF power w/o needing to do the above rite?

Its funny this guy issnt in the manga and only in the anime. Instead we have Aokiji with his Frost DF.. which is way cooler in my opinion :)

unless oda is really pulling a joke on all of us by showing doflamingo`s hands moving like a pupeteer just to put that he just likes doing weird poses with his hand while killing people i say it's almost positive that he has somekind of pupettering technique… maybe he has the ability to create that iron string from that priest in Skypiea (the one with the flaming bird)

this would be a very cool hability
