Never seen ANY of these before .
I'm highly anticipating this, what with the GITS: SAC movie debuting on this block. Easily something to get excited about, what with GITS: SAC being one of the greatest anime series of all time… Not looking forward to Blood: the Last vampire, though. After seeing the animated septic tank that is Blood +, I'll pass on that... Same goes for Read or Die, which was a severely sub-par movie that included a needless shot at the U.S.
From what I can gather, Noein seems like one of those series up its ass with faux-philosophy (and in this case, quantum physics), and Tokko looks like a Silent Mobius-esque "cops designed to fight demons" series. Could go either way.
I've seen SF2V, and I'll say it's mostly for people who're fans of Street Fighter (which I am). Dunno how much it'll appeal to everyone else.
The first thing that popped in my mind before clicking the link was "Crest/Banner of the Stars". Ah well. =/
As long as it doesn't go the way of what TechTV did, then this might be nice.
Yeah, heard about this last week. Sadly I'm not looking forward to the movie cause I haven't seen most of the GIS anime. I really wanted to but I lost cable and had only got to see a few episodes before I did. I finally got it back in Feb. and it was still showing and they just aired episode 1 again. I was like "alright!" then next week it's taken off and replaced by Shin-chan….
For Christ sake, way to be asses and air episode 1 before taking it off. (Not interested in watching it on the computer either, so don't suggestion downloading. And I can't find it to buy anywhere.)
As for Noien, I haven't heard much of it but oddly enough I wanted to see it as I saw it on ANN like a year ago. Already saw Blood: The Last Vampire on movie channels years ago like "Action" and "Starz" and I hated it. I also hate Blood +.
I also didn't care for R.O.D., neither the movie nor the series.

tech Tv aired anime?
Yes, TechTV, G4techTV aired a show called "Anime Unleashed" during which they aired an episode of an anime. Like Boogie Pop Phantom and Duel.
Yeah, they used to show a good number of episodes in a series (until they were done, I think. not many episodes). But eventually they changed it to two random episodes at around three in the morning until taking it off the air completely.
Well I'm very grateful to Anime Unleashed. There was only one anime I liked on it, Duel. And I loved the show, even tho I wasn't a fan of mecha. It will be one of my all time favorites.
Man I was mad G4 took Gungrave off the air. To be fair, they played the whole series twice tho. My god, Definitely in my top 5 of most awesome animes ever.
Anyways, can't wait to see what other series they add later on. I'll be tuning in.
Wow…anime on Sci-Fi Channel again? They had Droids and Ewoks play every morning along with Lost in Space back then.
I remember watching AKIRA, Robot Carnival, one of the Tenchi Muyo movies and others on there. Feels nostalgic
Too bad I can't watch GitS:SSS since I haven't watched 2nd Gig yet.
Yeah, I know they'd been showing some Anime movies and such. They had Akira on the other day :p
I think I'll watch it even tho I haven't seen most of GITS: SAC nor any of 2nd Gig.
I'll be seeing the film… even if I never saw Ghost in the shell before.
Bump. Saw this the other night. They showed Noein, Tokko, and Marcross Plus. Are any of these any good?
I like Macross Plus.
I enjoyed Noenin and Macross, but Tokko was just kind of missing something for me.
Crap, I wanted to see Noenin as I saw it on ANN last year, but really…I'm not interested in watching much anime anymore.
Manga just holds much more of an interest to me now. Funny, when it use to be the other way around.
Noein is great. The actual characters/story is sort of meh, but there are some completely jaw-dropping feats of animation and the design and imagery of the really extravagant parts is truly unhinged, just totally batty and awesome.
Street Fighter II is now going to take Macross Plus in the weeks ahead.
