Besides the usual characters that reappear(blackbeard,Marines, etc.) who do you hope/think will reappear NOT in a sidestory,or flashbacks, but in the main manga story?
Recurring characters
-
-
Roshio and Bellamy. They both were awesome and crazy pirates.
-
I really like Jonny and Yosaku. Haha they were too funny.
-
Kaku. He seemed to be the most humane and sympathetic member of CP9.
-
A pretty obvious one is Buggy, but nonetheless.
One would have to be Bon Kurei, since he is indeed a person worth seeing again.
As for the furfilling of my fanboy-ish dreams: Kuro. But as a East Blue pirate without much expierence on the Grand Line (speculation, not proved, yet), it's highly unlikely for him to come back.
-
Johnny and Yosaku are easliy on my list.
I also often wonder what happened to Gin, and even if Zeff opened a restaurant on the Grand Line.
-
Buggy and Gin, mostly. They could actually make a reappearance later on without it seeming forced in just to please the fans.
-
Vivi. Even if it's just a redux of the latest "bounty reaction chapter", I think it's likely we'll see her again.
It would be interesting if Johnny and Yosaku made a comeback a la Coby and Helmeppo. If those two can improve by leaps and bounds, maybe those two can as well (though they probably started off better than the other two anyways, assuming they didn't suck at bounty hunting like the anime fillers seem to suggest).
-
Will reapper (I am sure of this): Buggy
May appear: Gin (he promised, after all)
Could appear: Hatchi (I think he will appear in mermaid island), Sarquiss (maybe when DoFlamingo appears).
I Would like to appear: Johnny and Yosaku
-
Laboon!! lmfao.
16 of everything. -
What? No love to Bellamy or Roshio.
Yeah, I would like to add one:
Buggy. he must show up. -
Well, it's pretty obvious he already will. Oh, and add Sarquiss to my list.
-
@Dixxy:
…assuming they didn't suck at bounty hunting like the anime fillers seem to suggest).
Wait, what anime fillers?
Also, I too would very much enjoy seeing the Buggy crew and Johnny and Yosaku again.
-
Wiper…even though i know he 100% that he won't come back.
I also want to see kuro come back with a pirate's ambition
-
i would like to see mr.2 bon clay he is funny and a good guy in hart lol
buggy got to come back soon i hope
-
Pandaman and in the anime, Sam-San.
-
Buggy's going to come back. I doubt bellamy will come back but the some of bellamy/do flamingo's crew prolly will appear with do flamingo.
-
-
@Roz:
Wait, what anime fillers?

During the post-Arabasta stand-alone fillers, one of the episodes focused on how Zoro met Johnny and Yosaku, and Zoro caught a bounty for them. I don't actually remember how good or bad they were, but as a said, Zoro did at least some of the work for them.

Holy damn.
Why didn't anyone ever tell me about this? I've never bothered with fillers because I figured they'd all be like that whole Apis deal.

I'm not sure how we got on the subject, but in the Zoro DF Sword thread, AnotherHero and I both admitted that we wanted to see J&Y return in a manga chapter opener story, and somehow bring a new sword to Zoro. I then invented two off-beat scenarios to make that happen. Both scenarios can be found in post #144 of this thread :
http://www.apforums.net/showthread.php?t=11809&page=8
[in both scenarios, my assumption was that they wouldn't be good enough to make it to Grand Line on their own, that they'd need "assistance" … ;)
That's probably because I don't want them to get better and stronger like Coby and Meppo -- I like J&Y just the way they are. :) ]
-
your scenarios werent bad, just i think it would be better if they came back strong.strong enough to give the strawhats a good fight
-

I don't get it, why would they want to fight their friends? Even when it was clear to them (back in the Arlong Arc) that Zoro had become a pirate and they were still bounty hunters, they made no attempts to haul him – or any of the other Mugiwara -- in for profit.
Oh, wait, are you suggesting that after they hear about the slaughter on Whiskey Peak, they decide their allegiance to their profession is stronger than their allegiance to the Mugiwara and set out to capture them?
Hmmm ... interesting.
-
Crocodile. The pimp must return!
-
Crocodile. The pimp must return!
that'd be cool if it happened.
I can imagine Mr.0 escaping impel down with a whole new crew of pirates and going to find the strawhats -
how about Brook? He'll reaccur.
-
two words:
Mister Nine.
-
@AD-HD:
Roshio and Bellamy. They both were awesome and crazy pirates.
They'll both reappear when the main characters visit their graves
-
@Roz:

I remember that. they got owned by a guy named Dick who had the world's biggest flintlock or something.
-
I would like to see Laboon again. For some reason, when Going Merry appeared on Enies lobby, my first thought was that it was Laboon who had come to save them.
And Bon Kurei is another character I would like to see again. -
They'll both reappear when the main characters visit their graves
Yeah, right after they visit Pel's or Crocodile's grave.
I like to think that they are not dead. -

I like to think that they are not dead. They aren't dead…we know that for a fact. Read the coverstories...or the manga for that matter. Or was that sarcasm I sense?
-
Or was that sarcasm I sense?
Sarcasm, of course.
-
Hahahah, okay. My bad then.
-

That sounds like a really bad euphemism.
The best thing about that filler was Johnny and Yosaku's hair. Admittedly it was so aesome as to almost compensate for the the rest. OP filler isn't generally that terrible. Not compared to a lot of other filler anyway.
Hmmm. So who would I like to return. Obviously Buggy and Alvida - those two are obvious. Johnny and Yosaku would be highly entertaining (and can I just point out - when J&Y were with the Strawhats before none of them even HAD bounties, so what good would it do 'bounty hunters' to bring 'em in?)
Let's see about other characters… Gaimon, coz he was awesome. And Bon Kurei, for similar reasons. probably a bunch of others which have slipped my mind for now...
-
two words:
Mister Nine.
Man, it would be awesome to see him again. I was pretty angry when he ended up getting immediately jobbed, because I thought his design (With the frilliness and the crown) were awesome looking.
I remember seeing some different looking pictures of Johnny and Yosaku before, so it was probably from that filler. I'll check it out in a short while.
Also, speaking of those two, I highly doubt that they would turn on the Strawhats. I mean, seriously, they'd have had to either be incredibly desperate or crazed to go after Zoro.
-
(and can I just point out - when J&Y were with the Strawhats before none of them even HAD bounties, so what good would it do 'bounty hunters' to bring 'em in?)
Good point!
So it's probably not a complete coincidence that J&Y parted ways with the Mugiwara just as Luffy got his first bounty. -
Odds are, even pre-Arlong Luffy and Company were more than enough to wipe the floor with J&Y, so they were smart enough (wow!) to just keep their heads down and not even try and claim the 30M.
-
Oh man. For a filler, this is most excellent.
So cute!
We really really need to see Johnny and Yosaku again.
-

The Mouseymarine guy who reported the bounty to the marines may not have known which were Mugiwara and which weren't : so J&Y may have been included in that first report : as "associates"/ "accomplices" of, if not members of, the Mugiwara. (They did try to attack Arlong's crew once by themselves – very unsuccessfully -- and they also the guarded the gates of Arlong Park while the Mugiwara fought the Fishmen inside. They also cheered on the Mugiwara and provided Zoro with two swords.
So even though these things are minor in comparison to the crimes of the Mugiwara, J&Y could get hauled in for that next time they show up at a Marine base. Probably the safest plan for them would be to avoid the Marines entirely, and to look forward to a new career digging ditches in Nojiko's orchard. :)
Roz -- that episode is fun, isn't it? One of the more amusing filler episodes.
-
Johnny and Yosaku would be awesome. Other that I would like to come back in the current story is Hina.
I know that Smoker and Tashigi made their cameo at the end of CP9 Saga, but it would be cool if they re-appear soon in some arc. And I have a feeling that Hatchan will appear in the Fishman Saga.
-
Kuroobi and chuu! they could appear in the next arc!
-
When we see Jinbei, we must have some sort of cameo from the Arlong Gang. If nothing else, it will do a lot to set the stage to explain why Arlong broke away from Jinbei: did he have to give his crew away, was there a dispute, or is it a scheme in motion.
