It was because Moria said "Oz Bomber" and in the Chopperman comic, Luffy was "Luffy Bomber". It was just a little reference.

edit: that ^Nice episode. The extended fight scenes were well done, although Zoro almost made Odz fall by himself, that would go a little far..
Next week will be even better. Luffy the swordsman looks badass. -

That was a really good episode. The animation was good IMO and I liked Moria talking to Kuma. Brook saving usopp was cool too. And Odz Bomber plus Chopperman was something I didn't expect but was still awesome. I can't wait for the next week and the week after.

So many good fillers. First additional 2 tries from Zorro to attack Oz with Hyaku Hachi Pound Hou, then we get to see the Risky Brothers. Kuma talks about Whitebeard-Blackbard (I heard Shirohige, which didnt happen in the manga?). Then we get to see a silly Oz-pokes-Moria scene and a pissed of kicking Moria XD Moria too lectures Oz to move not too recklessly.
And the face from Usopp with Oz' fist behind him was priceless. :D
Moria was drawn nicely, not the best we saw from him, but better than i expected. His reaction to Kuma and his hand wrapping Kuma's clothes was well done. For my taste we saw him too often warped from the ground-perspective… didn't like that.... But it was a very good episode!
Btw: Lola has pink hair? And wtf? Chopperman? Was an easteregg. Nice! :)

The first Pound-Hou is canon, but afterwards it was all filler, including the 2nd one and Zoro's hitting his foot.

Definitely looks like the next episode will either cover 2 chapters or will cover the content of of chapter 476 and the episode after would cover the content from 475. It'll probably just cover 2 chapters. And I hope the animation stays consistent and doesn't get sucky. Also if there's no full filler episodes then there should be about 10 or 11 episodes til:

I've missed most of Thriller Bark animated, I keep missing the stream. But with it getting very close to it's climax, I'm gonna need to at least TRY to catch it.

I must say, the last few episodes have been really good. The animation is great, the pacing is decent, and the filler-scenes don't feel too out of place. Odz's extended reaction to Moria's cockpit was totally in-character, and the Chopperman-cameo was funny. Also, next week is gonna be awesome.

I'd say some filler scenes are actually helping certain points of this arc. I mean, when THIS happened in the manga, people were like "uh, ok, some people came out of the blue with a sudden power up for Luffy, right". But the filler scene with the Risky Brothers made clear how they were actually waiting for Luffy and found a plausible way to come across him. That was pretty good and next episode's events will feel more natural.

I agree with the above comments; usually I've been noticing filler scenes right off the bat, but after Luffy's freak-out moment I didn't even notice them. I didn't notice Chopperman at first either! D: But I did notice when they started playing my favorite background music, Giant Stronghold Takeoff, at around 18:40.
And on another note, pause the show at 11:18. What is up with that face?! XD
