@Syan:
But how can anyone hate No More Heroes?!
If your someone like me who didn't like the game's artstyle which reminiscent of Killer 7's that's one reason.

My opinion maybe against many Wii/360 owners but I'ma have to say No More Heroes…. Oh and all of the Halo games/FPS games on 360….
I hate you.
No, but, Seriously, I hate how you say "Halo games/fps games" as if they were all the same. If you'd ever played any of them, you'll know they're all different, in storyline and gameplay. The only thing they all share in common is the fact that they're all in the FPS genre, but nothing alike.
As for my worst game, it'd have to be RE2, Sonic Unleashed, Sonic and the Secret Rings, Sonic 06 (you see where I'm going with this), Monkey Ball Wii, Red Steel, and
Lagoon for the SNES. It's a bad, boring, and broken Zelda clone.
Was anyone else let down by Spore?
worst title for me would be… hmmm... lets try some recent crap.
-Shawn White Snowboarding (quickest game I traded back, EVER)
-Lord of the Rings Conquest (not only does it fail in every attempt to be star wars battlefront. But the stages are small and confining. You really DON'T feel like you're in a war. And the backgrounds look more fun than what you're actually doing. That plus the fact that Hugo Weaving announces "the one ring has been captured by...." EVERY fucking time the ring is dropped AND picked up. It get's old... fast. And the online is horrible.

I agree. There is a different FPS flavor for EVERYONE. But sometimes people just don't like FPS games. Not to mention that if they liken them all to something like Halo, then it shows how little they actually know.
BTW, I also Think Halo is a garbage of an FPS.
it'd have to be RE2, Sonic Unleashed, Sonic and the Secret Rings, Sonic 06 (you see where I'm going with this), Monkey Ball Wii, Red Steel
yeah the Wii sucks. and in time people will realize that despite the 5-7 good games the system has, it was still just a money trap for rich kids and bored old people. yeah i said it. (not to mention that those 5-7 good games could easily be run on other systems, motion controls or not).
seriously? resident evil 2? any reason why?
Well, I played re2 and it felt weird, IDK, I didn't hate it but it just seemed like an odd game.
I only play Halo for its multiplayer, I know a lot of people consider it garbage but I love its storyline and multiplayer (not halo 3's story, the whole trilogy and shit, if you really get into it its really deep and confusing (in a good way, making you want you to find out more)
For its multiplayer, I just like owning people online with my favorite combo: BR and Sniper, just no-scoping em and 4-shotting em with a BR. So IDK why I really liked it, I used to think the series sucked before I played Halo 3 (yeah…)
I still own a Wii but I'm just waiting for Metroid: Other M and SMG 2, though most members here prefer the Wii (or was it that they prefer japanese styled fighting/rpg/adventure games like FF over FPS?)
I am part of the crowd that FPS games have gotten too samey…
A prime example is the new Turok... It's not a bad shooting game, but what happened to all the crazy weapons?
Man, I really don't remember these bad games anymore. Somehow I've got lucky and forgot about them.
The only game I remember being very bad was a Frankenstein game for the classic gameboy.
Would like to play that again.
I am part of the crowd that FPS games have gotten too samey…

Maybe not a bad shooting game but still a bad game just like the others before it.
Come on, don't say that, Turok on GC with four players was mad fun. And Turok on N64 was fun too.
Or was it?
I can't remember ever playing any absolutely horrible games but like OrangeNinjasSuck I don't like any of the Halo games. And don't say "Oh well you must not have played them." because I've played all three and just don't like them.
I also didn't really like No More Heroes. No particular reason, I liked the first boss fight and would probably like the others but I just didn't like the things you had to do in between.
Turok 2 and 3 are among my favorite N64 games…
The Halo games are NOT the worst games you guys have ever played, I'm fairly certain. I hate them more than most games on principal, but they have a solid enough foundation that they're not complete garbage.
@iSheep:

Most Turok fanboys will tell you how series fell off the wagon around the third game and has yet to get it's groove back.
The Halo games are NOT the worst games you guys have ever played, I'm fairly certain.
People will always call out a game for being bad even when it's not.
Turok was cool but I could never get past the first level. I could never find all the keys :ermm: . I did use a cheat code and beat the last boss, though . And Halo isn't an absolutely terrible game, but I just don't like it very much.
There's a difference between it sucking and being disliked. A lot of people hate it, a lot of people love it, a lot don't really care or they don't really like nor dislike it. Super \man 64, now that's horrible, and no one at all likes it.
EDIT: Game (franchise, really) I wanna add to my list, is…
final fantasy. GASP Yes, you heard me, if a franchise has ever been milked, it's final fantasy. Seriously, how many games are there?IMO they should end the series with a huge 20 (better yet, 15) then there's the spin-offs, sequels, movies, etc.
Mega Man has been milked WAAAAY more than Final Fantasy. And it's even been around for less time, too.
My least favorite game of all time is Lagoon for the SNES. It's a bad Zelda clone and dungeon crawler with poorly-constructed abilities, frustrating difficulty based on poor scaling and brokenness, and completely uninteresting storyline, characters, audio, and visuals. What a waste of time.
True, but guess I just dislike the FF series..:S
@Syan:
But how can anyone hate No More Heroes?! Unless you just hate raunchy jokes and blood, I suppose. The game plays well and has a fun, light-hearted yet dark story.
The reason why I didn't like it was cause of what you're supposed to do and the confusing guide, gameplay and storyline. They start by just sending you into a freakin' mansion and a quick guide and all you do is waggle and chop, waggle and chop, rinse and repeat. Got to the first boss and all I found myself doing was swinging the hell outta my Wiimote like an idiot. My arms were sore and I was like if the first boss is gonna be like this then the others are gonna be even more swinging and confusing…. Then there's the motorcycle. The controls were confusing for getting off the damn 'cycle. Plus I was confused what an assassin with a lightsaber and I gotta get another job? no way. thank god it was only a rental. That game was Overhyped by GoNintendo.

Go ahead hate me. I'm friends with a 360 fan and I gave it a try. All three Halo games plus GTA IV. I gotta give it to MS and Bungie for having a great online gameplay (Fck your Friend Codes Nintendo!) but other than that and customization, it just isn't fun. Maybe since I'm all into the whole N64 Shooters FTW and all that but all I see is space guys running around and throwing shit into hidden places and the screams of other Fanboys yelling "Where's your fckin' falcon punch now bitch?!" I don't have a problem with the fanboys though. But Whenever I play a FPS on a Xbox, the controls are confusing plus It's all the same. Shoot the bad guy win then go online and yell out vulgar crap. The only FPS I'll ever like are Golden Eye, The N64 Turok games & Metroid Prime Hunters. GTA IV was the only good game I've played on the X360 but it's also on the PS Triple…:getlost: I won't attack your opinion but you gotta know that not everyone is gonna like the FPS genre especially if a Console is just made to strive on that.
I understand that not everyone likes FPS, everyone has their taste and shit, but not all FPS are the same, especially the stories, and I'm a fan of Nintendo as well as Microsoft, and not all FPS are like GTA and Halo, the controls are not confusing at all for me, you can change them and shit, to me Wii mote fps controls are more confusing.
This old Penny Arcade comic speaks for itself.

I've haven't played a Wii FPS so I can't form an Opinion. The closest would be RE4. At first the controls were a little confusing but after 2 min you get used to the controls, but geez Ada sucks in that mini adventure mode. (not the one where she's working for Wesker. The Stealth Swat mode one.)
You clearly haven't seen "borderline pornographic" until you've seen PHANTASMAGORIA 2: A Puzzle of Flesh.
http://www.spoonyexperiment.com/category/phantasmagoria/
Don't know if this really qualifies as a "bad" game, but it's definitely weird. Talking rats that fetch wallets, Batman cameos, and of course, a door that leads to John Malkovich's head.
Dragon Ball GT Final Bout.

But that was an actualy video game with actual game mechanics and pictures that actually move. Plumbers Don't Wear Ties is pretty much a cencored porn flick in slideshow form with multiple storylines, retarded narraration, and the worst possible combination of randomist humor and 80'sness you can't even imagine.
So then what do you call a game with 4 sex scenes, 3 of which involve S&M? Plus, the actress who played Jocelyn is mostly seen in pornos…

I think.. I just got cancer. no joke, I think that was cancer in video form. :(
excuse me while I scrub endlessly.

hmmm… nowhere in this paragraph did you mention that the premise, graphics, or design of the game sucked. You've purely complained about the controls.
hmmmmmmmmmmmm..... sounds to me like it's more of a problem of the SYSTEM the game is on. Waggle, chop, waggle, chop eh?
sounds like the game sucking is more the Wii's fault than the game developer. Another great example of how pointless the features of the system are. No More Heroes is actually one of the few VERY GOOD Wii games that all could be ported over to another console and probably play twice as good. I'll stop myself because i'm very biased, but i'll just mention that I read that Suda 51 has stated that he's probably not going to do games for the Wii anymore.
The reason why I didn't like it was cause of what you're supposed to do and the confusing guide, gameplay and storyline.
You make it sound like an RPG. NMH is quite straightforward. Go get a job, make money, buy the fight, kill the other assassin, and repeat.
Same for the story. How is it confusing? You're an assassin that wants to be number one. There is no real plot until the end, where we learn more about Travis family and Sylvias role in this.
@OrangeNinjasSucks:
They start by just sending you into a freakin' mansion
So? Way better than starting with mowing the lawn to get the money for this mission, dont you think?
@OrangeNinjasSucks:
and all you do is waggle and chop, waggle and chop, rinse and repeat.
Try playing it on a harder difficulty and you'll see how far that "tactic" is gonna bring you.
@OrangeNinjasSucks:
Got to the first boss and all I found myself doing was swinging the hell outta my Wiimote like an idiot. My arms were sore and I was like if the first boss is gonna be like this then the others are gonna be even more swinging and confusing….
Thats your fault, not the games' one. Nobody said that you have to treat and swing your Wii Remote like a real sword.
@OrangeNinjasSucks:
Plus I was confused what an assassin with a lightsaber and I gotta get another job? no way.
What does having a beam katana as weapon and getting a job to do with each other? You need the job to get the money, and you need the money to buy yourself the fights against the higher ranked assassins. It's simple.
Look, I'm not saying it's the best (Wii) game ever, but your reasons for calling it "Worst Game" are shallow. Not to mention, if I understood your post correctly, you didn't even get to the second boss. Thats less than an hour of gameplay, so it's bit early for that judgement anyway.
@Gekko135:
sounds like the game sucking is more the Wii's fault than the game developer.
Nah, it's his fault for not understanding the simple control of a Hack N' Slash game. The only part where the controls in NHM suck is when you're riding on your bike. While you're fighting they work perfectly fine.
But yeah, agreed on the Wii part. It looked promising enough, but turned out to be a letdown.
I never played No More Hero's….meh. But anyone with a name like Travis Touchdown is an instant no-go for me.
I have like 50 ps1 games that i never play anymore but the fact that my memory is SO terrible i cant remember playing anything bad or good.
But i played Sonic 06 does that count?
Lair for PS3 was pretty bad. The game itself wasn't so bad storywise, and graphics-wise it was very nice for a launch game, but the controls were so frustrating sometimes… you tried to do one maneuver, and your dragon did something completely different. Got really obnoxious after a while.
And Defender of the Crown was impossible to beat without cheating. The Jousting match was especially bugged... and if you didn't stake claims on land IMMEDIATELY after the game began, you were foobared because every lord and his mother would gang up on you and rape your forces.
hmmm… nowhere in this paragraph did you mention that the premise, graphics, or design of the game sucked. You've purely complained about the controls.

You forgot that I metioned that the storyline was confusing? No You're just overlook the Wii since it doesn't get as much games as PS3 or 360. You right it only has a couple of games that are actually good not just Nintendo games either. Have you played those Wii games the whole premesis of the Wii is to provide entertainment for the whole family and it's mostly a motion console. Not every Wii game is going to require you to shake and waggle cause Last time I checked SSBB uses GC controllers and/or classic remote. You're turning the whole topic around into the "omgz console wars" this is a worst games topic not a worse systems topic.
No More Heroes is awesome game, what the hell are you people talking about?
Oh yeah, worst game I ever played had to have been a tie between Yu Yu Hakusho: Dark Tournament and DBZ: Sagas.
You forgot that I metioned that the storyline was confusing?
Again, where is it confusing? The plot is incredible simple (which btw is perfect for a game like this).

No Introduction video to begin with so I have to wonder what I'm doing. Second, I thought I would just drive through to the next stage to fight the next boss, No I have to do other odd jobs…:blink:
Enough about that game though,
The worst game would actually have to be ET.
No Introduction video to begin with so I have to wonder what I'm doing.
Of course there's an
.All you people mentioning games like No More Heroes and Halo need to play Superman 64 and understand where the bar has been set for "worst game".
Yeah, what the hell, Halo as the worst game?
Is this an old thread? If so, then I'm sure I already mentioned Ultimate Battle 22. Worst game I ever bought. BUT, I only spent $2 on it, I can't imagine being one of the poor jerks that imported the game back in the day.
@Lazzie:
Mega Man has been milked WAAAAY more than Final Fantasy. And it's even been around for less time, too.
Funny enough, the first Mega Man came out the day before the first Final Fantasy came out. And I'd debate the milking of the Mega Man franchise.
I can't really remember a Megaman game I didn't enjoy.
Except Megaman Soccer.
That's probably the one MM console game I've never played, just because I never had any interest in soccer games.
I actually only rented it out because it had Pharaoh man and Blues/Breaker man/Proto man in it.
I love Megaman bosses and their funky music.
All you people mentioning games like No More Heroes and Halo need to play Superman 64 and understand where the bar has been set for "worst game".
Those people would only be me. Plus you don't know crappy games once you play ET on the Atari….God awful graphics for it's time and the game sucked.
Those people would only be me. Plus you don't know crappy games once you play ET on the Atari….God awful graphics for it's time and the game sucked.
The concept of Superman 64 makes it worse, trust me.
Though the hilarious ineptness of Atari at the time does always make me laugh. I wonder if anyone ever found all those copies of ET in the desert?
Probably not the worst game ever but the worst I've ever played is NinjaBread Man on the Wii
Developer: oh hey guys, let's make it so that only 1 in 5 attacks hit, even when these attacks are aimed at precisely the same spot. let's make it so the slightest tap of the analogue stick sends out hero careering into hell. and let's make it only an hour long.
Programming team: Ooh Ooh Ah Ah Ah
Developer:gives them a banana i feel we're onto a winner here guys
I hated this game. It just didn't meet the standards on any level.
[hide][/hide]
Also, what's up with loads of these great games being called rubbish? I swear if I see any of my oldskool fav's I'm going to screw! (Street fighter, tekken, Rival schools, a few other fighting games)

The worst part is the same developer also went on to make "Anubis II" "Rock n' Roll Adventures" which are the EXACT same game with a different skin.
I remember Headhunter, I didn't think it was bad so much as it was underwhelming and unremarkable.
I remember Headhunter, I didn't think it was bad so much as it was underwhelming and unremarkable.
I usually look at reviews before getting games so I rarely buy anything bad, but I took a gamble once and bought this! Urgh was that a mistake. Its was just so incredibly boring and uneventful. There's a few more that were shite but I've blocked there shamefulness from my memory, although the words 'lawnmower man' sound familiar.

Didn't work so well when Rise of the Robots came out.
I'm so glad I rented it first.
