if Kizaru is light and is called Yellow Monkey , aokiji is ice and is called Blue Peasant , then akainu 'red dog' must have a power based on a red fruit.

aokiji is called pheasant because he's very relaxed all the time , kizaru monkey because he's kinda stupid and unserious , and i think that akainu dog because is a badass.
So the 3 names given are the explanation of their personalities.

Blood. I wonder, can a logia control the element that it didn't creae/ Example, can Ace control fire on candle that he just found? If so then the Blood fruit would be so kind of hax do to there being so much blood in the body.

ok these are the devil fruits that have a big possibility since they are red and logia( just for the record just because the others are logias doesnt mean akainu has to be you know like a shock or it wasnt something you suspected type of thing)
these are the fruits that you guys suggested that i think are really good:
*a blood fruit (which would be cool)
*a rose fruit (which is cool to. he has a way to be very magestic)
and i thought that maybe he could be a ancient zoan that has something to do with a firebreathing animal or something, he could actually become like litterally a red dog this just my take on it. also when i hear dog i think of playful, loyale, eats alot -_- and i mean alot -

Red Dog = Lava, Fire (Same as Ace Theres probably more than one of each fruit), Hot Sauce (wouldn't surprise me), or, most likely, FRUIT JUICE! its probably not blood. -
not to be rude but you rather believe in another fire fruit than a blood fruit which seems to be weirding out people for some reason

I like the idea about akainu having an ancient Zoan fruit. Dragon, Cerberus or something like that. Just anything that can produce fire.
I just hope it isn't a blood logia or a magma/lava logia. In fact, I hate these ideas.

I always thought he would have Magma/Lava since Ace has Fire, and it would further state how different he is from Aokiji, who has Ice.

If we are going to stick with the logia theme, which is most likely I woudl say that Akainu has the Clay Clay fruit. You know, red clay, so he can mold his body into all kinds of weapons, that would be nice contrast the Kizaru's speed and Aokiji's…cold-ness.

the reason i think it might be a possibility that akainu could be a ancient zoan is cause when you think about it "akainu the ancient zoan" just sounds right and just rolls off the toung but if hes not a ancient zoan i really like the idea of a blood- logia cause it matches his introduction of being a serious character, but if you ask me he might not be so serious cause i think dogs are playful. also who whoever suggested that blood isnt natural no offense but blood is natural it is part of nature since organims derived from nature which contains blood. also i think there is a tree called a bleeding tree not sure but i will check online

Maybe a jewl fruit or something of the sort. You know how (( and I can't believe I'm using a movie, but)) Gasparde looked with his logia cady syrup? Well, he could look like that, but just ruby colored. :P
and I hope that he's not a logia type because I think that is too predictable.

Up until now, Logias have been the God Mode fruits with very few weaknesses, almost completely immune to conventional forms of attacks. A guy just showed up, who has the ability to make contact with a Logia; and Kizaru doesn't seem particularly surprised by it either. It's a very hot button issue right now.
Anyways, I'm on board with the Clay Logia. That sounds pretty awesome to me.

i know where you are coming from it is surprising and exciting but some people dont even try to think something thats new or original they just take the easy route.i dont know about anybody but i will take the train to unconventional town and being wrong than the one to unimaginitive town acting safe thats why i like this thread and things like it

Don Achino had the lava fruit.akainu must be a very powerful and of course a logia type.No way he's a zoan type.Good idea with the clay fruit.So think about something red that match with personality of a dog and you'l find the devil fruit.
no one said he wasnt powerful, but it could be one of those things that we didnt suspect like instead of being a logia that everyone suspect he could be something else (there is a high possibility that he is a logia though:sad:).
so if he is a logia i like the idea of a blood logia its red and cool

If people think that there can be a water fruit where an ice fruit exists then I see no reason why an magma fruit can't coexists with a fire fruit.

Well is that filler different from Apis Arc? Did Oda give inspiration for it? If not having a lava fruit there doesn't mean too much. There was this wired fat Admiral in the fillers too.

Could be a blood logia, possibly. Of course, technically, blue is only red when exposed to oxygen.

Clay Logia is a very interesting idea.
Lava is a possibility.
Wish Akainu turned out to Dragon Zoan since I believe he and Drake probably have bad history together and a T-rex getting torn up by a Red-scaled Dragon would be epic.
Never liked the idea of all 3 Admirals being Logias when the Garp has no fruit, Rokushiki was introduced, and if Sengoku has a fruit my bets on Paramecia or a unique ability unrelated to a DF. Almost makes it seem like they're only in their positions because they're Logias.
