And honestly, I'm not even that upset about the 6-8 weeks thing. What annoys me is how whenever anyone says anything negative about the dub, no matter what it is, a bunch of people have to jump on that person like they're the devil themselves.
The point I was trying to make (that, unsurprisingly went way over your heads) is that I'm very grateful to Funi, and I will still buy the DVDs, and I will continue to support them. I always HAVE been grateful to Funi. The dub is amazing. It's an awesome dub that goes above and beyond anything and everything I expected from a One Piece dub. I am not disputing that point. My point is after all this praising of Funi from me, I say one little negative thing, and I'm public enemy number one. You guys act like I've never shown any gratefulness to Funi at all.
I'm wasn't mad, ungrateful or throwing a fit. I was disappointed. Honestly, I'm over it and I've BEEN over it for over a week but you guys keep bringing it up and bringing it up. Someone likes to bitch here, and it isn't me.
But it's an overall sense of ungratefulness that I've seen not only on this board, but toonzone, and many other OP fan communities that convey a paranoid sense of betrayal and distrust by some that is clearly out of touch with reality
That's weird because I've seen the exact opposite. I've seen one or two people say this or that (The sound effects aren't in We Are or someone didn't like so and so's voice) but other than that I've seen an overwhelming positive response and really, the sales speak for themselves. And it's well deserved. Funi did a hell of a job and I can't wait for the next set.
Whether the 6-8 weeks thing was a lie, a miscalculation, or a misunderstanding, I don't know, and frankly I don't care anymore. But what I do know is we have a hell of a good dub here, so stop acting like one or two people saying something negative is the majority. It's not…. trust me... it's just not.
It's obvious that the rep mistook each set as counting as a season when he said 'the first two seasons were done'.
Not that it really matters, but I thought they said seasons 1 and 3 were done and they were in the middle of dubbing 2.
