Ok guys. Sorry to keep you waiting. Here goes.
Intro Flap:
I've heard that athletic swimmers actually grow extra meat inbetween their fingers so they can push through the water with more ease. That's evolution right there for you. Since manga authors are constantly drawing pictures they should be able to 'progress' someway as well. Say for example, if our fingernails were to become shaped like the tip of a pen. Or say being able to see through the clothes of women walking down the street.
Let's begin Volume 51~!
SBS1
Someone uses Robin's 'Grab' on Oda's nether region to begin the SBS.
Someone asks if Akainu and Kizaru are stronger than Aokiji. They included a picture of what they imagined Kizaru to look like that….actually....looks pretty close to a 'realistic' picture of him....just uh....with like Robin's hair. Oda freaks out at the picture and then plugs the next volume where he says he'll appear.
Brook is 88 years old and he's 2 meters and 66cm tall. If you include his hat, add roughly another 20cm.
SBS2
Even though Brook couldn't cry when he was sad, he could when he was incredibly happy. Oda explains that's because even if your tears run out when you're sad, there's no holding 'em back when you're happy. He believes that's because of the kindness that exists in people.
Someone offers to take Moria's place as a Shichibukai. Oda moves on to the next question.
Someone asks what 4-character idiomatic compound best describes the SH crew. Uh...sounds complex but it's not. In laymen's terms they're 4-kanji words/phrases. There's a shitload of them and the more you know the smarter you are...or something.
Anyway, Oda thinks 前代未聞 or ぜんだいみもん or 'zendaimimon' best describes them. He recalls using this during EL. It means, 'unprecedented'.
A male asks for Oda's hand in marriage. He refuses.
SBS3
Someone used ASCII characters (I believe that's what they're called right?) to replicate each member of the crew. I would normally snap a pic but I don't have any time to do uploads. I'm sure scans will be up soon if not already elsewhere.
Someone asked how they handle laundry. Robin and Nami alternate days in doing their laundry every day. All 7 guys do their laundry once a week in a massive laundry 'event'. Chopper notes they smell like shit.
Someone tells Oda that he'll find happiness somewhere in life.
Someone asks if there's a reason Lola has been rejected so many times despite being so awesome. Oda thinks she'll find happiness.
SBS4
After having seen a circular rainbow themselves, they ask Oda how it's possible. Oda goes into significant detail describing how they occur in nature (which I will not do) and then 'returns to regular broadcast' of regular crazy-ass OP.
SBS5
Okay, this was really cute so I'll spend some time on it.
D: Odacchi! Odacchi! Is your grampa a taxi driver? When I was in Kyoto this driver just gave me a OP poster and a copy of the original Vol. 6 cover! This has been running through my mind so much I can't even get anywhere in my entrance exam studies! Thanks!
O: Uhhh, that sounds just like Gramps. He told me about this, "Ei-chan, Grandpa's always advertising for you to my customers.", which it turns out he did a little too much and his company made him bring it down a notch but he's still out and about on the streets of Kyoto. Tell him I say, 'Hi', if you ever ride with him.
Aw.
Someone asked if he used the Adam's Family and TNBC as inspiration for the TB atmosphere. As it turns out…..yes of course he did. He also watched a ton of zombie movies he'd never seen before. He used a lot more ink than usual and he also aimed for lively and fun zombies since he hates scary stuff. He also went to a shrine for purification for using the dead in his story like that which he says is not an uncommon practice amongst mangaka.
Someone asked why Franky has two different flags. The one Oda drew and the one from Movie 9 promotional goods. Oda says they came to him and asked him if they could use the design and he approved it not even thinking about what he drew. He took the typical Japanese middle road and said it's fine if he has two. Uh yeah, think I'll go with the one he created.
SBS6
Someone asks for a clarification of the mermaids on the auction house list. Oda explains the difference in female pricing is between older and younger mermaids. The older mermaids whose fins are split and those that have them intact. The younger ones fetch a much better price.
Someone asks Kuma if he can say his own fruit name without getting his tongue twisted.
He can't.
No sign of e1n's kickass artwork. They suck.
Pandaman's battle rages on, on the back cover.
Good night you beautiful people.
