Lol, not really. It almost focuses almost 100% on the Strawhats.
One thing I actually like about Naruto is that it focuses on side characters and their battles/sides of the story. I wish that Oda did things like going into depth about Crocodile's past. Or maybe even following a different crew's adventures for a short wile so that we gained more depth about their world.

About the whole "OP does/doesn't care about everybody": if OP had a massive supporting cast waiting for them in one or two place like Naruto or Bleach does, then it will just lead to people complaining that "Oda's not using them" or "they're lacking development". What he does is best for keeping with the story of adventure: introduce a new side-cast in each part of the world he goes to, uses them to the best of his abilities, then moves on. While many don't have the development, they aren't just waiting for their time in the story. If they get a mini-cover arc, then it improves their position…but its for the better. As amazing as the world is, this is ultimately the story of one pirate crew traversing through it.

I used to like Naruto, it was good until right after he sasuke got captured and that damn promise changed the whole show. Zabuza was the best…and i think thats when the art was at its best too. I was in 8th grade then (Almost a senior in HS now)...my friend showed me OP Vol 8...i didnt even wanna read any manga cause i thought it was for punks and losers but i read it then bought it then some more of em then i started thinking OP was better than naruto and it has been since then
Im not more biased towards the piece but there isnt much its can be compared to in any catagory that it doesnt curbstomp...then again its my opinion. This is coming from someone whos favorite series are:
TTGL, Champloo, Dragonball/Z, Reborn (manga), and Yuyu Hakusho -
I remember during Kakashi Gaiden I was so excited. I thought Part 2 was going to kick ass. During the Sakura vs Sasori fight in the manga I still defended Naruto saying that the time skip just started and the pace should just be given some time.
I just happened to realize the error of my ways when Sasuke returned and I haven't really had any regrets about that since.
Even so I had no idea Naruto and One Piece were the only two anime to ever exist. I mean just because Naruto is the one series I dislike outside of… Bleach and maybe Death Note... Doesn't really make me a tard. Also while people may think bad of me because I defend One Piece when people insult it's art, story, characters, etc. I'd say defending a series for those reasons is far better than defending a series because "people be hatin' on it cause they're haters."

My take on those reasons.
Due to rampant emophobia on messageboards around the country I won't touch upon this.
The Second reason is one I can't really understand the complaining over, it's like despite Orochimaru explicitly stating that Sasuke will seek him out when he desires more power or Jiraiya taking Naruto on as his pupil that people could still not bring themselves to accept that plot development eventhough it all made sense.
The third reason is the one I hate more because of how badly it reeks of bullshit and really just goes to show how people will grasp at straws to criticize Naruto in general or the character of Sasuke even worse is the fact that despite complaints of people who can't stand the fact of Naruto being upstaged by Sasuke they seem to be oblivious to the fact that Naruto himself isn't excactly a popular character in Shonen or manga lore.

This is a bit harsh, I understand this is a One Piece fansite but give credit to whom it is due. I am glad that your Intellect was able to figure out Itachi's motives, it couldn't have been any easier than figuring out the CP9's motives while working for Galley-la Company.

I think I did give credit where credit is due. Kishimoto creates the coolest villains in manga today. I am still hard-pressed to come up with a character as sweet as one that pulls out his own goddamned bones and battles with them.
But Kishimoto simply has no idea how to make a unique story. It's like reading one gigantic cliche on teenage angst.
What other author out there has actually taken time to apologize for leading their own story away from the focus of the material? He's gotten so caught up in the bullshit between ruined family, growing pains, separation anxiety, revenge, blah blah blah that the story has just become a giant festering ball of tripe the likes of which you can find in doujin a dime a dozen.

If you look at some of his early covers, they're stunning. The level of detail is just holy-shit-good. The architecture, poses, materials, poses, all of them come together to form AWESOME compositions.
That kind of stuff takes a helluva lot of time.

Well, I think you have to give him some leeway because he gave the readers fair warning at JUMP Festa when he said this year would be focused on Sasuke in particular. Although I whole-heartedly agree that he's left his series' 'hero' in the dust. Not just now, but for years. I imagine that's part of his plan though because it will make his ultimate victory all the more appealing after he's been shat on for so long. It just shouldn't surprise anyone when it happens.
