Nope. They let all the other face hits to Crocodile slide, except for that one shot.

Which is why people were finding it odd that FUNi all of a sudden had to edit all face hits.

A little late to this, but who cares if their voices are similar? Some people have similar sounding voices. No reason for that fact to be absent from Funi's OP dub.

Funimation has only a few dozen voice actors.

Chances are, not every arrow will hit the bullseye. It's something you should be prepared for.

Kuro's voice sucks (IMO).. And I completely acknowledge that.

I disagree. I think it's great acting.

The new Kuro just sounds like some random stock boring guy talking. No passion, no nothing.
It fails at drawing you into this character.

But then again, it is all up to opinion. Just like you Tsukento, hate all of the Funi Dragon Ball voices.

I'm new here, but I have the DVD set, and I honestly find it to be awesome. I love the dub of We Are and Memories, and FUNi's new dub of these episodes overall definitely blows the 4kids version out of the water, as expected. I even watched one episode of the dub with the Japanese subs, and damn I actually couldn't believe how close FUNi's new script was. Also, incase you haven't figured it out, I happen to be the person who's uploaded most of the clips that have been posted, which I hope people still waiting to get a hold on this set have enjoyed.

okay, mine came in the mail at like 11:00 today and I've benn watching it since. I just finished and cant wait til the next DVD. I liked the comentary ep.1 and hope they do it more often. I loved when Sabat said, "the prince of all swordsmen" that was priceless.

Like I said in my previous post, I did look at the subs a little, and they aren't bad. Only issues so far is that they use "Navy" in the subs, and what may annoy some people is that the subs also use "Gum-Gum" instead of "Gomu-Gomu", which I think is a minor thing.

Incorrect, they have quite a large number of them, they just don't USE a pretty hefty sum of them.

Haha, I get that joke all the time online. "Why did you name yourself after a crappy 80's movie?" Actually, I named myself after one of my favorite anime characters, Malik Ishtar. I may upload one or two more clips, but I'm not gonna push it. Afterall, people should still buy these sets and support FUNi.

OK, my turn! I just finished watching the set and I've got some thoughts!

It was awesome. I'll be buying all the rest that come out. Including the filler.
I'm surprised at the level of language used. We've got damns, jackasses, dumbasses, bitchs, hells, screws etc etc. It's refreshing, because we have characters here that are pirates and leads who, at the moment, are all in their late teens. This sort of language only makes sense. Props to Funi. (Can't wait to hear unedited Sanji!)
Same thing for Zoro's sword in mouth speaking. Nice touch.
Props to Funi (and our man Mato and the writers) for sticking to the original script and still having the leeway to let everything flow naturally.
Props to the decision to not have the Strawhat actors voice other characters.
I liked that Yasopp sounded like he was Usopp's father without having Sonny voice him. Nice bit of directing there.
Shanks voice is smexy.
Some lines were just made of epic win.

So yeah, smiles all around. Also, for the 5 page argument about Kuro? I totally didn't notice that it was Shura's VA. Personally? Kuro- 10 episodes at begining of series. Shura - doesn't show up till 150 EPISODES LATER. Perspective people.

Number Two: I'm very relieved to see that Funimation wrote they're own scripts for these episodes. Their not copping out like they did with DBZ Season 1 and 2.

Number Three: What the hell is up with Jango? He sounds like some kind of deranged opera singer. I never expected him to sound like that, that's for sure.

Anyway, once I heard reports of them shipping early, I hopped right onto Rightstuf and ordered a copy. Wonder how long it'll take to get here…

I'm glad to hear how top-notch the whole thing is. Not that we weren't expecting it, but it's still damn good news. Also, I'm with Bonita; can't wait to hear how uncut Sanji will sound.
