The 1st game didn't foreshadow the 4th, it just gives us a similar scenario, except with more leniant consequences.

PW wasn't even the first game.
-
Okay, so I just beat T&T.
!
I was laughing like an idiot when I saw this. Is it a Fey rite of passage to break that stupid thing or what? -
When there was the blackout at the end of 3-3, I jumped out of my bed when I saw Godot's glare. I knew it was coming, but it seems creepy, like he is an assassin of sorts.

That's important later on.
All I'm saying.
-
Oooooh, a young Edgeworth. Schweet.
-
@Cap'n:
PW wasn't even the first game.
It is in the States.
-
@Mr.:
It is in the States.
Well, that's just great.
-
"It is a Trap"…said by Armstrong in 3-3.
So...given the circumstance, I wonder if that's referencing the Ackbar image?
(Armstrong is an awesome character, btw. The 3rd game really has a great cast)
-
@Mr.:
! I've beaten the case, but I'm not clear on how it foreshadows Apollo Justice… I do remember Gant saying something important to Edgeworth, but I just can't remember it....
! Well, the plot revolved around forged evidence. At one point Gant suggests that Phoenix forged one of the items in the safe, there's talk of paying the 'ultimate price', ie: disbarment, and finally, the whole Board of Inquiries, and Edgeworth unknowing using fake evidence.
Apollo Justice Spoilers!
! Phoenix unknowingly used a fake suicide note in the flashback trial of 4-4, was brought before the board, and disbarred.
Seeing as how Capcom probably went into development of AJ during or after working on Gyakuten Saiban: Yomigaeru Saiban, it seemed to be a suspicious coincidence to me.
-
I always thought that the "Edgeworth was good all along and never forged evidence!" angle in Case 5 was really, really lame.

-___-+ (pissed off)
Why? Is it due to how horrible and badly implemented the plot twist is, or is it because you're too stupid to read a spoiler tag?
-
If you would've had the decency to ask me nicely instead of dropping insults you would've known that I read the spoiler tag, (Special K cereal) it's not the spoiler that ticked me off it's the infomation inside that did, now I know why Phoenix is no longer a lawyer in game 4.

And there's no reason to be pissed about it, because it was clearly marked for spoilers.
-
So basically because it was in the tag I wasn't supposed to open it?
-

It says APOLLO JUSTICE SPOILERS. What do you think was in it?
-
You're slow aren't you, the whole reason for my little rant is because Phoenix is no longer a lawyer in the timeline of Gyakuten Saiban 4 I'm not upset at the spoiler just that unsettling piece of infomation inside the spoiler tag because since I looked into the game some time ago I could never understand why he's practically a bum in GS4 now I know.

It seems you're the slow one. The fact that Phoenix isn't a lawyer is evident from even the earliest of trailers. Nobody should be surprised by that fact, and it seems unsettling that you couldn't even find this out while 'looking into the game'.
-
Just so you know I haven't watched any of the trailers like I said I just started researching the game a couple months ago crossword actually did me a favor with that spoiler if I had to do myself I probably would've wound up spoiling the entire game eventhough I partially found out about Gant's guilt in AA before actually finishing the game.

So you've been looking into the game for months, and haven't found out the most basic info about it?
-
Aside from the facts that Phoenix isn't the main character in this game,it takes place seven years in the future, and most of the recurring characters from the earlier games are not featured in this game…no.
-
Man will you guys ever shut up, you're like fucking 1st graders!
-
I've said my peace the only question is will K have something else to say to keep this discussion going back & forth.
-
I've finally had the chance to play the first Phoenix Wright a few days ago, and I'm on the forth case. Crazy on how I could never find it a few years ago, but now they seem to be just about every game store all of a sudden (almost always used). Anyone else feel the same about that?
-
I haven't seen it anywhere other than the Toys R Us I found it in a year ago. (Although I haven't actually looked to see if my local game stores carried it, so for all I know my local GameStop has a bunch of used copies.)
As for my progress, I'm currently at the middle of case 3-2.
! Just when I thought the case was over, it suddenly becomes the usual murder case.

yes, same for me

Mine is used I almost bought it off Play-Asia awhile back out of because couldn't find it elsewhere.
-
Odds are the reason so many used copies are popping up is the lack of replayability. Sure it's fun, but I doubt people are going to keep playing a visual novel over and over.
I can't remember who, but I recall a member here saying how he had to order his copy from South America. Either Brazil or Puerto Rico…
-
I usually don't return a lot of games (unless I want a little extra store credit and sell an old Gamecube game). T&T is my first Phoenix Wright game I ever bought, so my copy won't be popping up inn stores anytime soon!
On another note, Terry Fawles makes me feel sad. I don't know why.
-
! You'll be sadder once the case is over.
Anyway:
Furio Tigre: Best con artist ever or just lucky most of the court that day were complete imbeciles?
-
I thought Furio Tigre would've been a little Hawaiian. But a Brooklyn accent is fine too.

I know what you mean.
! It was funny how he spilled the beans about what he did a couple of times. And now the courtroom gets quiet each time.
! He sucked at lying, compared to everyone else, who's ever had to appear at the wintess stand. Sadly, I feel he ruined the the whole episode because of the two things I just mentioned. -
I'll ask this question again…......Why is he red!
! was it his accident?
-
Furio seems to be based off a devil/oni if you ask me. I don't think his redness is anything more then simply a design choice.
-
another question
! why didn't anybody see that he was red when he impersonated Phoenix!?
-
! His excuse was that he went on a business trip in Hawaii and got a tan (He also dropped some bullcrap about his "Badge" getting a tan, too.)
-

oh yes, of course
-
Alright! Time to end the game! On to Case 5! Later tomorrow morning… I just proved Melissa was Dahlia.

I was about to mention spoiler tags, but then I remember that you know that about as soon as she pops up on the witness stand, thanks to case 1.
-
! Well, 3-4 WAS sad. Poor Terry! I thought we'd see DieGO ArmanDO (Godo XD) get poisoned. Ah well.
-
Spoiler tags, please. Even though I've already beaten the game a while ago, there are still people who haven't finished it yet.
-
Ha! Nice! Never made that connection before. I got "Nick" pretty fast, but not that.
-
Haha!
! Phoenix fell off a bridge. XD!
! Schweet, I'm Edgeworth! I wonder how this is gonna turn out! -
Protip: If you're going to ask someone to spoiler tag something, please don't quote the unspoilertagged text. That just doubles the amount of unlabeled spoilers floating around. ♡
-
Roz, that was pro.
Kneel before the upperclassmen. GWOOOAAAH.

@Cap'n:

I know, that sorta ruined the image of Edgeworth there.

Hmm funny, when I first got the game a few months ago, I intended to advertise it on your forums.
-
It's the first time I meet Franziska in person, and she seems sexist. Poor Edgeworth, getting mistaken as a lech.
-

Fix'd for great justice.
S&M FTW.
Anyway, let's discuss…
Pelvic thrusts in the courtroom. -
Whoa, I have no idea what you guys are talking about.
But I do know…
I have seen piles and PILES of used PW games everywhere, but I can't find Justice for All...and damn Trials And Tribulations sits at the top of the highest shelf in the store all on its lonesome looking down at me LAUGHING ITS ASS OFF because I can't buy it!
FUCK!
But I did beat the first game, and I am totally obsessed.
