That's part of why I've grown to like him. It's obvious that he's actually practiced something other than I'M A CAPTAIN SO ALL I NEED IS BANKAI, WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Bleach Discussion Part 2

-
Uh-oh… Gohn was the first Nottoira when everyone hated him... Does that mean... Everybody in the bleach thread will become Byakuya fans next?!?
-
Last night, I basically realized that I only disliked Byakuya because he was some boring 'pretty boy' [well, that, and his Bankai is silly]. But I've always liked how he treats everybody like garbage, especially Rukia.
-
I always liked Byakuya hop
-
I remember Kubo using like, 15 pages to show Renji being hit and falling down during that fight.
The fact that that one episode covered a full 5 chapters shows how ridiculous the fight was in the manga.
-
@Cyringohn:
his Bankai is silly
his Bankai is VERY silly.
I loved how he was talking all sorts of shit talk about Ichigo's never being able to catch up to his Bankai, and it just turned out to be EXACTLY the same thing… but MORE!
-
Does anybody know some places where I can grab some of the newer anime themes? There´s been three themes ever since they came to Hueco Mundo that I´d like to have but I don´t know where to look for them. :( Any info would be nice.^^

Hehehe. I loved how fast the anime moved back then. If I had it my way, every shonen adaption would be paced the same way.
-
P.S.: The little screaming thing at the end killed it for me… Just like the second Death Note opening...
I actually liked the screaming part at the end; just seemed to fit in with the bunch of Menos Grandes trying to tear a hole in the sky they showed while it was happening.
First Bleach opening was always my favorite. I was addicted to Alonez for a while though.
Also, even though I'm a Noitora fan, I still don't like Byakuya; even if he is proficient at kidou, his shikai and bankai are just too uninteresting. And I never was a fan of the "too important to talk to you" demeanor he has.
-
First, second, and Alonez (whatever number it is) are my favorite Bleach themes. In fact, they're really the only good ones. Though the current one is pretty good too.
-
I can't keep up with all of these theme songs, but I always liked the fourth one.
I still don't like Byakuya at all guys
-
First, Fourth, Sixth and After Dark are the decent songs really to me. Second was my least favorite so far.
-
The first Bleach opening is just absolutely terrible.
"Ichirin no Hana" is pretty good, though.
-
Byakuya seems like the Gaara of Bleach. His overall character sucks but his normal fighting style is cool. He barley even has to move.
-
His overall character sucks but his normal fighting style is cool.
I feel the exact opposite about Byakuya.
-
I've been indifferent towards him ever since he popped up.
As piss-shallow as it sounds, I'd probably enjoy him more if he got a halfway decent fight involving the skills he has. Kidou has always been an interesting prospect, and definitely deserves more spotlight and better treatment then tarnishing the character of a Pufferfish man.
-
Yeah, I'd like to see him actually demonstrate all this obvious skill that he has.
He looks down on people not just because of his rank in society, but because he really is better than they are. I really like arrogant fuckers who actually have skill to back up their arrogance.
Then again, Bleach can sometimes have a habit of taking a pretty awful archetype and doing something interesting with it.
EDIT: Today, somebody pointed out that I have hair almost exactly like Renji. They're right.
-
I really don't see that at all. They either take someone fantastic and make them look shitty, or have a shitty guy get beat up by a great character.
And Byakuya's ability is kind of interesting, but he just doesn't really use it in an interesting way, to me.
-
There isn't anything you can do with millions of invisible, microscopic blades.
-

Gendou has a very wide selection of anime theme songs.
-
@Cyringohn:

They aren't really invisible.
But you can do plenty. Like kill a man.
-
Your argument is that he doesn't do anything interesting with them, which is what I was touching on. There's nothing physically impressive you can do with it since you can't see the blades, hear them, or do anything with them that can be expressed through drawing.
-
You could do plenty of bad-ass things with them, he just doesn't. All he does is, "Giant stream of pink coming towards you…okay bye" and Ichigo's the only one who really tries to dodge it or strike back at it.
His field of swords hanging in mid-air was kind of interesting, though, since it slowed Ichigo down. His Final Smash at the end there was really pointless, though.
-
Why are you blaming a character for something that Kubo decides?
The characters can't control what their Bankai does or how it looks. It's based on the spirit of their zanpakuto [and themselves], and nothing more.
-
I'm not "blaming" him. He's not real, I can't "blame" him for anything.
-
Maybe you should read over what you type.
-
does this mean that his zanpakuto spirit is a fucking cherry tree?
-
@Cyringohn:
Maybe you should read over what you type.
Yeah, I'm saying it's a fine ability but in the story there's no creativity put into what to do with it.

Uhhh… Ichigo slowed down because his bones were BROKEN

Going back to the opening themes.
After Dark is probably the worst theme after Asterisk and D-Technolife.
Asian Kung-Fu Generation's songs repeat a lot and, after a while, begin to sound the same. After Dark isn't a bad song, but for a band that is hyped that much, you would expect more.
I don't know the obsession for After Dark. It's a really mediocre song by a mediocre band.
-
"After Dark" sucks.
-
Asian Kung-Fu Generation is basically the Linkin Park of Japan.
"Hey this isn't bad, let's listen to another, hmm…IT SOUNDS THE SAME"
Except Linkin Park is terrible from the start.
-
I don't mind after dark, but it does get way too repetitive
-
Imo, After Dark was a terrible song. The Openings go for me: 5, 3, 4, 6, 2, 1. (Rolling Star is really good)
-
