Well, Toonami aired a promo (it feels like an eternity since they last did) of the whole block. So, yes, One Piece included.
Which episodes were in the promo?

I haven't seen it, myself. But some members at Toon Zone reported seeing it during that Zathura (i don't care, lets not get into CN's live-action fetish here) movie encore today.
Haha,CN's stupid to put a promo during a movie no one will watch :)
Don't be so sure about that… But again, let's not get into that.
Toonami promo screen captures.
EDIT: Oops, merging my double post:
Hey, will talkbacks be made for when the first set comes out?
They're still using clips from the 4Kids dub.
But, oh well, they do consider it the same show (which it technically is).
Not really any complaints here.
I didn't want to post here, but someone talked me into it. I just want to point out some info I was given by Mike McFarland:
@Mike:
And yes, both Wyler and Loftra are direct and specific requests from Toei. The uncut versions do not include these terms.
@Mike:
I plan on rewriting and re-recording some of her [Robin's]lines (the ones that seem to be out of character, or that could be phrased in a "less-harsh" manner) for the uncut release, the same way that I plan on rewriting and re-recording the lines where she calls the other straw hats by name… Honestly, on an additional note, I do feel that some people are now overly and acutely aware of this unintentional perception of her attitude and are seeking these things/problems out, making the slightest inflection on the delivery of a word or phrase into something to be scrutinized beyond the norm. I assure you the matter is being remedied.
So yay for Mike paying attention to fans ^_^ That should stop all concerns about those kinds of things.
Thank you, Quexi. ^.^
And all should be well. Hopefully.
…
With the fans... hopefully.
WOOO HOOOOO! My faith in the system is restored!
Best. News. Ever.
Seems the "robin problem" is being taken care of. That should be good.
and lol at Mike calling the fans "overtly aware". That must be proof he reads message boards. xD

Whatever could you mean… :whistling:
Hooray for the lines of communication!!
It's cool that they're checking out what we think. And they're probably right that some things are being looked at too closely. But in the end, it's up to them to decide what's nitpicking, and what's justified. Most the time, we can't even sort out which is which.
It's best we continue giving them a bit of both, and let them fix what they feel needs to be fixed.
Hahahaha. That's good. "Overly" is an understatement.
But I'm happy he made that remark. 'Cause it's exactly what it is.
Nice to hear FUNimation is actually putting this much of an effort into the product.
Keep up the good work Funi. And thanks Quexinos for letting us know.
Toonami Jetstream should update in a little with an interview with Colleen so keep your eyes open for that.
EDIT: Actually it's already up. And One Piece is mentioned. Check it out.
EDIT 2: Hahaha "You're watching One Piece on Toonami Jetstream!" complete with Luffy voice. Greatness.
watching it now
This must've been taped some time ago, as she said the FUNi dub of OP isn't out yet.
The news about the Robin lines makes me happy. It shows that they are responding to the concerns of the fans, but at the same time not bending over backwards to our every whim. Because sometimes we the fans can be a bit unreasonable. :P Good news, good news.
Haha, watched the Mike Mcfarlane interview. Loved the lines he delivered as Roshi at the end.
Gah! Stupid US only site!!
Gah! We should have asked:
1. Where were they, dubbing-wise.
2. If Season's One and Three would receive simultaneous if not close release times.
3. What sort of extras could we expect.
4. How long ago did production actually begin?
http://funimation.com/f_index.cfm?page=videos
FUNi has some tv ratings (not movie ratings) up and the movie is TV-14… I guess One Piece is more risque than DBZ?
Err…tv ratings? Aren't those how many times the videos on their site has been viewed like YouTube?
And I don't think we'll be seeing episode 144+ on DVD for awhile. I think they're gonna release the first 143 episodes in sets and once they get to 144 start releasing those. Tho I could be wrong.
No, I mean, like the v-chip tv uses. TV-Y, TV-PG, TV-14, TV-MA… That kind of stuff.
Not the ones movie theaters use.
The first One Piece Product under Funimation heh, my first collectibles:

I don't think those are the first FUNimation-licensed products. Back at Anime Expo last Toei Animation had those at their booth, so those bookends I think were licensed directly from them. Unless I'm taking the press release literally I think FUNimation's merchandising rights were only a recent thing, although unlike the T-shirts and "Unlimited Adventure" the bookends are more likely to have the FUNimation label on them.
Hahah. XD Luffy looks mindless as ever.
Interesting. I had never seen those before. I'm puzzled as to why Chopper and Usopp are uncolored, but I guess that is irrelevant. XD
And lol@Toynami.
AAAanime has a listing for the Season 1 DVDs now:

One Piece: Season 1 - First Voyage
No cover yet though.
On an unrelated note, the cover art for DBZ Season Five looks awesome.

They're uncolored 'cause it's a prototype.

Ah, I see. That definitely clears things up, thanks for that. XD

One Piece: Season 1 - First Voyage
That title more or less confirms that they're starting at episode 1. Yay!
Because honestly, who'd call volume 12 "First Voyage"? I hope we'll get to see some coverart and stuff like that soon too.
Yeah, we've known about it for a week or so.
Someone confirm this for me.
>>Gilbert Gottfried - Foxy the Silver Fox: One Piece.
It's wonderful news but I think it's fictional. So anyone deeper in these matters than I, I ask for verification.
And where'd you get that? Please don't say Wiki…
I was reading the Gilbert Gottfried article and stumbled on it. From your tone I'm guessing you're having a lot of problems with mal-information, but please pardon me, I've posted only something like ten posts over a year's period here and try to avoid it like the plague.
Thanks for the help.
Wait, you still rely on Wiki when it comes to entertainment?
Of course if that were true I'd have a heart attack from overwhelming awesomeness.
I can see GG working pretty well as Foxy. Foxy looked like he was a character had that "nasally" voice. No pun intended.
There's been a thing between me, my brother, and my best friend, that Gilbert Gottfried would be the perfect voice for Wapol, and that he must be voiced by him. XD
If it could only be…
-Zera
Man, what craziness! I know it absolutely can't be true, but man how well Gottfried could do Foxy, that's like how everyone in the 90s said how Patrick Stewart would be the best
Charles Xavier from X-Men even before the film was made. It's just so perfect, but I know it sadly can't happen.
If you see his page, the format for the addition is messed up. The rest of his credits are Series : Character while the One Piece character is switched around.
Still I can dream. His voice over role as Mxyzptlk is still my favorite of his voice over roles, and he's the first thing that comes to mind when imagining him voicing Foxy.

EDIT: Embed doesn't want to work, so here's a link
How you can imagine Iago as Foxy is beyond me. Plus, he's never done an anime role EVER, so I doubt that this is true.
Someone confirm this for me.

I'd be so freakin' happy if that were true, almost as happy as Christopher walken getting the role of, well, I don't know, anybody in "One Piece" as long as it fit.
FUNimation would probably have a hard time getting a name even as small has his.

Christopher Walken as Brooke. XD XD XD
How about Christopher Walken as Paulie? Or Iceburg?
Christopher Walken as Lucci :)
Walken for Brook!
Tim Curry for Brook!
Michael Jackson for Brook!
….wait...
