Hey, that sounds pretty nice actually. Never heard of that weather condition… what does it do?
Oh, and I'm offering a couple of Feebas to whoever wants to trade. =x

Feebas? I'm intrigued…What do you want in return?
Offer something and we'll go from there. Sound good?
Hmm…the best I can think of at the moment are any of the Hoenn starters.
Sounds good with me, I'll take a Torchic if you don't mind. Let's settle the rest of this through PM.
@Solar:

Nothing, since it's only in Snowpoint. Pretty dissapointing.
Yeah, I just booted up my game and it seems it's just that graphic effect.
I hadn't connected to the Nintendo WFC, so it looks like it's coded into the cartridge as a calendar event (like Animal Crossing?). It's actually a pretty cool touch, even though everyone expected some big surprise.
FOR THOSE THAT HAVE THE WII BATTLE GAME!

wonder what it is…..:wassat:
That's so you can obtain Electivire and Magmotar.
The codes that were posted on Serebii a good while ago? :wassat:

Yeah…that's really old news. It's the easiest way people have been getting ahold of Adamant Electivires. Plus it usually ends up with high IVs so it's perfect for breeding. Great nature and decently high IVs where it counts so they're a popular trade.
Since i live in Europe, those codes do not work :/
Anyone has a magmortar/electivire or a magmarizer/electrizer, whey'd be willing to trade?
I might have a spare electrizer, if not I can catch an Elekid with one. Just uh, PM me about it.
Looks like the Darkrai event may be happening soon
http://www.pokemon.com/darkrai/
So its only for you guys in the states, i guess..
Awesome! Thanks for the link Kaizoku!
I'd say expect Darkrai to pop up in Toys R Us around April. Whether it'll be a Nintendo made one or the actual one you capture yourself is still up in the air.
In other Event News, we'll probably see some official art of Shaymin this week since CoroCoro is showing a "new Pokemon" that will star in Movie 11.
Awesome! Thanks for the link Kaizoku!

Yeah, it is.
16 thousand yeah's.
i found an emerald cartridge in my hallway
player's name was jake
he had a nice team set up on his save
rayquaza, groudon, kyogre, aggron, absol, and salamence
just gotta wait 24 hours for the time rearrange and then pal park here i come
I did that with a Firered I found.
And, after I'd stripped the game of everything remotely useful/awesome, I found the owner and returned it.
fuck i need a firered or leafgreen
so i can get a ho-oh and lugia and all those little shitfuckers
not gonna buy it though

Unless you have an Action Replay, you won't have access to them. The alternative is to have Colosseum and XD: Gale of Darkness.
I just wanted to point something out here:
That Darkrai is lvl 70. Do you people see this?
Now, look at that float weasel; he is lvl 29.
What kind of sick fucker would do such a thing to a harmless little go getter like him? I ask you
I never realized how savage Floatzel's back sprite looks.
Think I'll have him as my Water type when I play through Game 3.
i used him as an hm slave at one point

I could do the same as well…That fucker is surprisingly super fast

Serves the little shit right, I hate Floatzels unconditionally though I couldn't tell you why
I just look at them and I go grrr
Team of 6 Electabuzz is where its at
A friend was talking about Poke'mon the other day, and I thought "Holy crap, I never beat Emerald or Diamond…", so here I am, back into the Poke'mon craze, and loving it ;P
Oh how I wish school didn't take up so much time...
On Emerald I'm making steady progress from where I left off, but I'm also considering getting the games. I don't know what to do, as it may seem I'll never have the time for Sapphire, Ruby, FireRed and LeafGreen (Any advice? I'm going for the common poke'mon goal, to catch 'em all).
Also, I heard about if you change the clock they stop the game for 24 hours, but is there a way I can change it for when daylights savings time comes around?
It's just time-based events that stop, and it happens whenever you change the DS clock. But hey, it's just one day.
Yeah. You can't cheat Pal Park.
Wait…What time based events exist in these games?
Wait…What time based events exist in these games?
… sorta. Berries growing (as well as getting them from a few NPCs), swarms, honey on trees, Pal Park, and the guy in Snowpoint City that teaches you a trendy saying.
I'm probably forgetting some, but that's just a few of them.
Yea, but how would the game make them "stop"?
Are you saying that if I change the time while I have honey slathered, it'll take 24 hours more for a pokemon to appear?
Not sure about honey, but I'm pretty sure that's how it works for several of the events I listed.
Honey no matter what still takes however long its supposed to, I've tried. However, you can change the clock so you can keep catching Drifblims whenever you want.
I just beat the game for the second time. My team is Lv.100 electubuz,Lv.100 magmar,Lv.100 Staraptor,Lv.100 flotzel,Lv.100 Pidgeoto, and Lv.100 Onix
Honey Trees suck.
Just breed starters and trade them for Munchlax/Burmy/Cherubi on the GTS. Alot easier.
Yea, that's what I did after I tried for a week to get Munchlax and he never appeared once.
I had every tree slathered every 12 hours and found that the rarity goes like this (in order from most common to rarest):
Wurmble
Cacoon things
Male Combees
Female Combees
Cherubis
Burmy
Aipom
Heracross
Munchlax (which I never found)
But, yea, I realized how much time I was wasting and just traded a turtwig for one
I don't see why nobody uses Cloyster, hes superb in 4th gen
I adore Shellder, but I've never gotten around to training one.
@Solar:
I adore Shellder, but I've never gotten around to training one.
A Shellder's only purpose is to latch onto this beauty of a Pokemon to make it evolve. Seriously, I kid you not, Slowbro is far more superior.
I love Cloyster, but it needs more variety. Not much it can do outside of basic water/ice stuff.
Mm…never saw this thread before =s Cloyster < Slowbro
Cloyster may have variety but it can't do much else besides exploding or just being a short lived defense shield. kinda wished it had more Special Defense or more speed so it would have some use.
So, im in need of some strategy/team help.
My current team looks like this:
Infernape - lvl 66
Mach Punch
Flamethrower
Close Combat
Blast Burn
Luxray - lvl 59
Discharge
Thunder
Charge
Crunch
Flygon - lvl 57
Draco Meteor
Dragonbreath <–- Gonna switch this for Dragon Claw
Hyper Beam
Fly
Toxicroak - lvl 38
Sucker Punch
Revenge
Dig
Poison Jab
Swampert - lvl 39
Surf
Blizzard
Mud Bomb
Hydro Cannon
Hippowdon - lvl 53
Sand Tomb
Crunch
Yawn
Earthquake
I think i wanna switch out Infernape and Hippowdon, for something else.. Is Typhlosion a good firetype?
And would Aerodactyl be better than Hippowdon?
Other than that, feel free to suggest new moves (I like to paralyze/sleep my opponent), or new pokes.
I'd stick to Infernape, simply because it's so well rounded. Hippowdon isn't really necessary if you have a Swampert, and both Draco Meteor and Hyper Beam aren't really necessary for Flygon, and I think it might be better to stick to physical moves with Flygon, since it has higher attack than special if I remember correctly.
Luxray I find pretty terrible, simply because of his inability to learn a strong physical electric move, but replace Thunder with Thunder Fang and you'll be in good shape I think.
Meh, that game bored me within 20 mintues.
^the games not boring for me still after a year. I just dont play it much since i cant fight or trade with anyone until i get a new wifi adapter
Wouldn't mind some opinions on my team, if possible. I have a pretty clear idea how it's gonna turn out, but I finally started working on it again and it'd be nice to get some other thoughts.
! Mr. Mime Level 55
Male
Light Clay
Filter
Mild Nature
! Reflect
Thunderbolt (to be replaced with Shadow or Energy Ball)
Focus Blast
Psychic
! If you can pull off Reflect before it takes any serious damage, he becomes pretty hard to take down. I tried Calm Mind for a little while, but that leaves it kind of vulnerable to certain types so I changed my mind.
! Ambipom
Level 67
Male
Scope Lens (to be replaced with Life Orb)
Technician
Adamant Nature
! Double Hit
Brick Break
Fake Out
Aerial Ace
! Fake Out becomes an incredibly useful move when it's paired with technician, and a subsequent Double Hit can take out most Pokemon with low to average defense. Offensive moves were chosen to take advantage of Technician and for their ability to shut down several of the opponent's defenses.
! Rotom
Level 11
No Item (will have Choice Scarf)
Rash Nature. (Would've been Modest, but I got a Rash one with the exact IVs I wanted so I kept it)
! Thunder Wave
Thunderbolt
Confuse Ray (To be replaced with Shadow Ball)
Trick
! Haven't really gotten to the point where I can try it out in battle yet, but the main idea is to use full advantage of it's typing, Trickscarf and Thunderwave to shut down or hinder as many Pokemon as possible. Probably won't be doing much of the main fighting, but I went with the basic STAB moves so it can do some damage if necessary.
! Abomasnow
Level 57
Female
Choice Specs
Mild Nature
! Focus Blast
Grass Knot
Blizzard
Water Pulse
! Pretty basic idea here, choose one moves and go crazy. Grass Rope was chosen over Energy Ball due to it's high power against a few very common competitive Pokemon. Water Pulse is more or less filler since I have no other water moves, so I don't really mind replacing it with something else.
Lickilicky
Level 50
Female
Macho Brace
Oblivious
Brave Nature
! Explosion
Hammer Arm
Swords Dance
Gyro Ball
! Opens with Swords Dance, and then mixes up Hammer Arm or Gyro Ball depending on what the situation calls for. When it's on the verge of defeat, I try to blow it up and take the opponent down with it. If it gets a bad match-up I switch it out, and if it's a particularly powerful Pokemon I go for Explosion right off the bat.
! Hippowdon
Level 53
Male
Leftovers
Adamant Nature
! Earthquake
Ice Fang
Slack Off
Crunch (To be replaced with Stone Edge)
! Can stay in battle for a pretty long time with it's defenses and Leftovers, and Slack Off makes it pretty tough to get rid of. Mostly uses Earthquake and Stone Edge to deal heavy damage, with Ice Fang in there to surprise Dragon types.
! Mostly went for favorites over competitive value, though I'm considering replacing Mr. Mime with Gengar or Yanmega since my team kind of lacks a strong special sweeper, so suggestions for that would be nice too.
