So yeah I was thinking, what if Sasuke was replaced by Gaara in the whole Team 7 stuff? With him keeping his personality and not replacing Sasuke's role as GLOSSY AVENGER and Sakura's panties drencher, just being the third member of the team. I think it could have been cool. I like the friendship between him and Naruto better than that angsty shit pile we have now.

The what-if qualities of Naruto are unmatched. I mean, look at it:
-Gaara on Team 7
-Naruto having a living family
-Sasuke having a living family
-Sakura having an interesting backstory
-The entire grouping of the rookie 9 redone
-etc.I can probably say without hyperbole that the possbilities are endless.

Watching these old epis on CN reminds me of how awesome Gaara still is. He manages to be a good guy, but still is as merciless as every in battle.
Wish he'd do more and am anxious to see how he fare without his Bijuu. Probably will never know tho.

I'd actually like to see a fire fight between the two Uchihas. I'd imagine the Black Fire burning Sasuke's arm, forcing him to cut it off before it reaches the rest of his body. This is soon followed up by Genjutsu. Not even my fantasy's are safe from Kishimoto's bad writing.

You have two characters with eyes that can copy TEN THOUSAND JOOTZOO and they sit around and fire gay illusions at each other for a chapter. If you're going to give your characters awful, over-powered techniques, at least make use of the cool looking part of the technique.

I'm sure we'll get to the "good" stuff in due time. If anything Kishi is consistent writing Uchihas to be quite ubber in battle. So I'm quite positive we'll see more than just Genjutsu (debatable whether that something will be good tho)

That seems possible (but of course it was his Crows, so that means Itachi isn't the real one). That answers yor question, Zephos, since I know theres no way it would take a chapter to finish the fight (its like Zoro would be able to beat Mihawk in 1 chapter, thats not gonna happen since OP is diff. and so is this. The most anticipated battles always last long also)

Everyone knows that and that's exactly why Kishi should have written another ending/cliffhanger.
It's already stupid to have someone escape defeat like that several times in a row but it's completely idiotic to use it as a cliffhanger when everyone already knows that it's just another trick.
The only thing Kishi can do now to save this is let Sasuke's attack actually be a direct hit but what are the chances of that happening.

Nobody would mind this fight being long if half the chapters weren't pointless genjutsu exchanges.
It's basically just them going "HA, GOT YOU!" until one actually messes up and dies from it.

Light and Near had a more action in their fight than this, good lord.
And Sasuke's never been a huge genjutsu user either, but because Itachi's Mange Sharingan lets him do powerful illusions, I guess Kishi assumes we think that means ALL Sharingan users have to use it.
