Everyone, settle down. Let's not get into a pronunciation war here. Eneru is what his name is. Eneru was always what his name was intended to be. Enel was merely the way KF romanized it.
You want bad pronunciation?

We don't know that.
Remember that Oda never has written out his name in English. It could be Eneru, Enel or Ener for all we know.
@Sandai:
Why do people keep blaming KF for that?
Meh well I only saw people ever call him Eneru or Ener until K-F translated it as Enel and somehow that became universally the correct pronunciation in the fandom for some odd reason.
Wow…. Something good on 4Kids's part. They kept an official romanisation of a character.
Yet they used BLACK-BEARD.

Is this a joke dub or something?

Why can't people remember the whole L-R/R-L or V-B/B-V thing with the names of certain characters.
@Sandai:

Yeah, it's a joke that someone would not only make this, but publish and sell it in most of Southeast Asia. And if that's not insane enough for you, they also made THIS.
Goten becomes Goku.
Videl becomes Kami.
Goku becomes Gohan.
Gohan becomes Big Brother.
Piccolo becomes Uncle Strangehead. (O.O)

Someone used that clip earlier and yet despite all that you have mopes who shun the japanese version thinking it's below the english version I wonder if they're opinions would still stand after watching that piece of crap.
If you hate that dub, then you have no opinion.
What's funny is that they actually left in some bits from the Japanese version.
I don't even see how you can compare that to the english dub…
Does anyone even know where Eneru came from (or Ener for that matter)? Everywhere I've seen it (video games, random merchandise, a Jump cover, etc) it's been Enel. I know that it was never romanized by Oda, but you'd think they'd go with the majority of One Piece merchandise.

Also, going with merchandise is usually not a wise decision. I've seen a number of blunders Bandai's made with products based off of anime. Namely Dragon Ball, where Goku's name is written as "Son Gokou" when it's IMPOSSIBLE to get an "oo" sound from "ou" (it would make an "oh" sound).
@Kaimei-Karasuhebi:

That was to fit his name in the speech bubble. In a full length speech bubble, it'll be Blackbeard.

New ep. title.
Nice title :). They've been pretty close to the originals besides some 4Kids terms and censorship.
w00t, new episode title!
Tnaks, RomanKing…I mean, RomanGod.

I've seen fans spell it as son gokou as well sometimes…But man you sure know your dragonball stuff...
Tsukento's a dedicated fan of a franchise so I don't expect less.
Hmmm no wonder he brings out DBZ in all his examples. I just thought it may be coincidence.

Perhaps it was all a coincidence. Perhaps it wasn't. I'll never tell.
Maybe if we subject you to the constant moans and groans of Dragon Ball fans discussing the topic of the coming live action film…
Hey now, I'm part of that group. Even if I wasn't into Dragon Ball, I'd tell ya it's a shitty movie.
Ah, shoot.
Well, to be honest I've decided to just roll with it, lifes too short to be angry over something so trivial and if Chow's producing then it'll have to be somewhat good, right?
No.
Case in point? Christopher Walken is well known for saving any movie from sucking. Balls of Fury was not one of them.
Having big name people won't save movies from being shitty. Look at what Waterworld did to Kevin Costner's career.
Let's not forget
No Way Out, The Postman,& 3000 Miles To Graceland

Would that include Pulp Fiction?
Are you implying that Pulp Fiction isn't good?
Actually Tsukento was the one who said that Christopher Walken can keep any movie from sucking I was just asking his opinion about it.

Well hey that's not nearly as bad as if there would be a live action Eva movie… I mean that would spark far more outrage to the animu otaku's than a live action DBZ movie.
I'm sure however the DB movie turns out it'll be hilarious.
Intentionally or not. (Actually I think they were/are making a live action Eva movie.)
Weren't they gonna make an American Death Note movie?
I heard about an American Battle Royale movie
@Sandai:

That'd be The Condemned.
Um no
(Extra Characters)
@Wikipedia:
Remake
In June 2006, Ain't It Cool News website reported that New Line Cinema along with producers Neil Moritz and Roy Lee intend to produce an "Americanized" adaptation of the book. The remake rights have been bought, with release tentatively set for 2008. In a July New York Times article, Lee assured Battle Royale fans of his respect for the original work, and stated that despite earlier concern the characters would still be young teenagers and that he would draw additional plot elements from the novel. Due to the 2007 Virginia Tech massacre, the remake of Battle Royale has been delayed.
I'd love to see an American live action Death Note…but I demand L and Watari be British!!!
I'd also love an american Death Note movie. I think it'd work well, as long as it's not made by idiots.
Why are we talking about DBZ and rumors of a fake American like action Death Note movie?
This whole town is falling apart =/
These threads always fall apart a few days after the episode airs. There's nothing left to talk about.
So, how about that Luffy guy? Crazy kid, him.

A complete psycho path
mmm
I wonder if Luffy is lactose intolerant?
I'll never understand why everyone nowadays seems to have a hard-on for live-action. Seriously, what the fuck is wrong with animation? Huh? I don't know, I though making a cartoon was fine without bastardizing everything by putting a bunch of dumbasses in shitty costumes on screen and have them overact horribly. It's bad enough going over to Toon Zone and listening to this crap, but really, you guys should know better.
Seem a little steamy there, calm down, it's all fun and games, and such. The animation is indeed fine, and I wouldn't want it to be replaced by live action or anything, I just think a good live action movie of deserving series could be awesome.
For example, live action Death Note is a pretty easy thing to do, and could turn out well. Live action DBZ will be hilarious, but as a serious attempt I'm not expecting much.
Edit; I've been thinking of some casting choices, I think Hulk Hogan would best represent Light. For L, I think the macho man Randy Savage would do pretty well, too.
Hell put some white makeup on him and he can do Ryuk too.
We should have a Live Action…
Mickey Mouse Movie!!
Think about the plot: Mickey attempts to survive in modern times, fighting off anyone who wants to beat him down for wearing a stupid mouse disguise everyday.

He's right…I mean you can make a live action show out of an animated series, and it can do well. It depnds on what's going through and yadda yadda...

You're right. The only reason I'm saying anything is because it seems like everyone is losing faith in animation. Look at Cartoon Network. It's a joke. It's gotten to the point where if a show isn't an instant hit, it's not worth continuing. The thing is cartoons are almost never instant hits. They take time to build an audience and establish a fan base. I just think that most of the networks have forgotten that.
But yeah, live-action DBZ will be hilarious.
Well, I think that right now the Speed Racer movie is the only Live-Action thing that I am looking forward to watch. Dunno if they are going to actually take serious this DBZ Stuff..
To tell the truth, I'm currently expecting something like the Super Mario Bros Movie, and you know, at least the ones who watched it, how WTFIng was the movie if you were actually a fan of the games that knew very well the characters. I think I just LOVED it because I was very little back then and not sleeping early to watch the movie at midnight had been such an oddysey of sorts..
If there's nothing left to talk about, then let's just not post. Better than filling the thread with spam.
Ahahahaha, sorry, the fucking rockets made me to forget to not take my Spam Seriously! XD

They do say "Eneru" in weird ways... XD

Yeah. I usually bring that up, but I figured it was best to use another example since Bandai's the main company that brings out licensed merchandise. :P
Well, obviously nothing left on topic to talk about, time to close the thread.
