Finally got around to watching the episode.
Luffy: Some of his script sounded off. I think the "Usopp, did you hurt yourself? Hello?" line was the most unnatural sounding.
Zoro: Still talking too fast. Still sounding too smart.
Nami: Sounded fine.
Usopp: STINNNKS!
Sanji: Actually had some personality, which is new. I loved the lines when he jumped ship. But he still needs to drop the American accent.
Chopper: Sky Island Scary!
Robin: Sounded much better this week. In fact I love her lines between 5:45 and 6:38. In fact, that should be exactly sound all the time. Since Robin's been the primary target of my criticism for a bit, I'll go into detail.
"That means that Sky Island floats on a sea of cloud cover. I wonder it's stationary in the sky or if it moves with the tide."
The way this was delivered Robin sounds more like she's just thinking out loud. The scientist in her is out.
"Zolo (grrrrrr), you going us?"
This was great. She didn't say it like it meant "Get your butt down here". She simply asked the question without any preference as to what the answer might be. It's important to show off her indifferent nature. That way when she lets up a bit and says with…
"Luffy smells adventure. Huh. I never stopped to think of any of this as adventurous. Maybe I should reconsider my stance."
…. it really shows the contrast between Robin's personality and the more excitable ones. On a normal day Robin is not emotional and opinionated. She cold and calculating. Little outbursts of whistful happiness are much more significant that way.
For the rest of the episode, Conis and her dad sounded fine. Although I remember now why Conis annoys me so much. She needs to shave.
Unintentionally best moment of the episode: Chopper looking up Conis' skirt and saying with tears in his face, "I wanna live in the clouds for the rest of my life!"
Oh yeah, I guess they're officially the Navy. I can't say I'm thrilled about that but whatever.
The Heso scenes were great too. It's like the episode was mirroring our threads.
