I'm kind of hoping that's how it'll turn out as well (and it's the most predictable)
But like I've said, those kind of time travel have been done all the time and they're kind of dumb begin with
no one wins

They might bring back Blue Beetle! They might!
So I got all last week's comics yesterday. Sucks, because there was no way of avoiding spoilers in 4 days. Anyway:
War Journal was hilarious. Fraction is quickly making up for that shitty "Hate Monger" mess.
Messiah Complex was pretty damned good last week. This….Layla is actually interesting.
World War Hulk would have been a great ending but neither the art or Tony's final plan made sense.
New Avengers was a bunch of….pillow talk. Summarizing the other Avengers in an arc that hadn't
come out yet. The last page should have been awesome, but it was poorly drawn and ended up funny.
@Pass:
It's things like this that make me glad I download most of my comics.
Download Cap next week and you'll be paying for the rest of the series.
So what's this I hear about Deadpool comics to stop syndication or something?
@Freeman-12:
So what's this I hear about Deadpool comics to stop syndication or something?
Last issue of Cable & Deadpool is in February.
damn I hate it when What If's have better endings that what actually happened (not Annilation in this case)
Deadpool seems to have shitty luck with keeping syndication
I hope he gets his own book again, though, Him sharing page space with Cable not only made no sense, but was pretty painful for everyone.
I'd love to have been there when someone decided to stick those 2 characters in the same book
I would've liked to have been there when they decided that Cable should stick around after the 90's
I've been meaning to post this for awhile now.
Wow, Superboy is pretty hip.
Deadpool will ride again, in….. Wolverine Origins. HA.
Speaking of Daniel Way, the local comic shop owner suggested I try the first trade of the latest Ghost Rider. I don't mind that I lost my money to shitty book, but this now means I can never trust him again.
Only good thing this week was Cap. Messiah Complex was pretty cool but they killed the best New X-Man. I think the Reavers are back.
so…..
xMy-Wx-WoF4
yeah
old news
very old news
so I read through the latest Incredible Hulk, in which Cho and the Renegades finish of ZOM, and then arrive just as the WWH final battle was going on
the next issue cover was kinda weird
!
! wasn't he just killed?
uh
what the fuck
THE INCREDIBLE HERC
Where have you guys been? That incredible Herc stuff has been out for a few days (at least). It's not like WWH was that stellar anyway so what did you expect? Hulk #1 will make everything better.
I actually think Incredible Herc is gonna be pretty fun. Red Hulk on the other hand… Well, after that Wolverine story, I'll be happy if I never have to hear about a Jeph Loeb comic book again. I mean, he was already writing some pretty terrible stuff ever since his marvel comeback, but that story was the jump-the-shark moment to top all jump-the-shark moments. Red Hulk can only be worse. Hard to pass on McGuiness art, though... sigh
It's probably their way of compensating for the fact that Hercules won't appear in another comic after this for about another 5 years
I'm cool with that, since Herc's an awesome character. It sounds like they have some fun stories away from the registration crap planned, which is good news for me.
Hahaha, looks like this week's OMD turned out to be what EVERYBODY predicted what it was. Plus, you have some hideously contrived shit where Peter talks to alternate reality versions of himself for an entire issue.
Poor JoeQ lost on that one before he even started.
well DC goes the violent route again with the latest Sinestro Corps
Nothing wrong with that! XD We were expecting a big brawl and that's what we got :D
I'm really digging both Sinestro Corps and Messiah Complex. It's nice to know that the big two can still do SOME crossovers right.
I'd be more inclined to care about Messiah complex if I didn't hate most of the Marvel mutants
Understandable, but I've always been a fan, so it's nice to see marvel finally getting it right, after so many fuck-ups. I'm hoping they can keep it up for a while.
@Cap'n:

If it helps, this week Gambit was stabbed repeatedly, Wolverine was burned to a crisp after he'd had his healing factor turned off, Storm was left behind to hold off like 20 people, and the New X-Men are pretty much done.
I always dug Angel, Nightcrawler, Colossus, and Cyclops if Jean wasn't around. Messiah Complex has been really cool so far, if only because it doesn't drag nearly as much as you'd think it would. But….I'm not sure if I'll be buying any X-books after this.
Also, Namor allies himself with Doom.
So what the fuck lead to that?
Woah…okay...
Out of curiosity when is the Booster gold Killing Joke Tie In Coming Out?
Find out why the Sentry is livid….in 6 months, when the next Mighty Avengers comes out.
@Pass:
So what the fuck lead to that?
It's photoshoped. Look at (Female) Ultron's hand.
Yeah, I looked up the actual comic and was thoroughly disappointed. Still looks like she's going to take a dump on her feet, though
And I think I actually really like Ares from what I've seen. And I feel bad that he's trapped in such a lame book.
so Annilation Conquest is picking up
!
Okay the mighty avengers pic made me laugh. I actually like Mighty Avengers, when it does come out. I think the story isn't bad it's just really gotten behind on shipping. I like Ares, and Ms. Marvel and the Sentry. So I keep reading it.
The thing that keeps me from really liking the Sentry is that it's obvious that no one has any idea what to do with him
He has some decent ideas behind him
but in the end he's just going to be "HRHGHGRUGHRGHRGRH SUPERMAN HURRRRRRRR"
I'm also kind of iffy on Mighty Avengers since I don't like most of its main cast
When it comes to team books if I like one character enough, then that is reason to read the story. Ares is that one character. Anyone badass enough to cut an Iron Man armor in half and use the rockets on the feet as a fuckiing gun to blast some more Iron Man armors in the face, gets my thumbs up.
Why? Why is Loeb writing Ultimates 3?
! First of all why Valkyrie? All Black Panther does is punch Venom and has no speaking lines. Everyone seems dumbed down except for Hawkeye, who's new personality is slightly understanable. Scarlet Witch dies…....I kinda thought it was funny, though. And Venom attacking them seems............random
I want to get a look at Madureira's artwork for Ultimates 3, but that's about it. He used to be an old favorite of mine.
(Interesting Note: I actually first decided to watch Giant Robo because Madureira mentioned it in a Wizard interview in the mid 90s.)
I only read comics sometimes if the cover looks cool
I love this new comic i got today at the library
Called Ghost Rider Team Up by Marvel
From what I read in this comic volume, he teams up,in many stories, with many other marvel characters, such as horror monsters ,spiderman and some cowboy ghost.. it kept my intrest.Defintely a good book for those who are either a fan of marvel and/or a fan of ghostrider
Out of curiosity when is the Booster gold Killing Joke Tie In Coming Out?
Next week
Greatest moment for me this week was this one panel in countdown
Lets hope Terry doesn't become the next victim of Clark Bent aka Superemo prime

I wouldn't start complaining just yet. They'll probably reveal everything over time, it wouldn't make sense otherwise. Wait until more issues THEN complain.
Finfish brought this to my attention:
http://progressiveboink.com/archive/robliefeld.html
I laughed pretty hard
Haha. The sad thing is that I actually own most of the comics those panels are from.
It's actually fun to try and draw like Liefeld. I mean, for people like me who can't draw correctly anyway.
My favorite Liefeld/90s parody comic is probably Doom Force. I need to find some scans.
I actually can tolerate super early Liefeld, but I guess it's more my love of the era than what he actually did. He's almost single handedly the reason that I don't want any comic books from about 1993 - 2001. Him, shitty coloring, and gimmicks, but mostly him.
Mighty Avengers: except for Wasp and Ms. Marvel, I like all those characters, Black Widow and Iron Man being some of my favorites overall. But that book is pretty damned stale whenever it comes out.
I was wondering if the Street Fighter comics are worth reading.
I was wondering if the Street Fighter comics are worth reading.
Definately. The art in them is really good, and they manage to re-tell the stories of the games really well.
There's also a spin off about Sakura, and it ties into Rival Schools, which is pretty good as well. And it's nice to see Rival Schools and Street Fighter put into the same continuity.
The only part i remember reading was a flashback of Gen vs. Akuma
which was awesome.
Read Death of Superman yesterday; Doomsday was badass.
Marvel Illustrated: Moby Dick #1
Excellent?
