This is a sad day in the history of TWSSP, I'm glad you've finally come out to explain the situation.

Honestly, I'm concerned about Dan, it'd be sad to see him go because once you get attached to a character you get attached to the person. If it's not too much do you think you could share exactly why Dan is avoiding you guys, if you know at all? If it's too personal that's okay, but maybe we could help.

I remember something like this happened to my brother when he got his fucking girlfriend. We used to make these movies together. All of a sudden he "thought he was too old for it". I don't know if something like that might be going on with Dan.

I used to think Dan thought all I wanted to do was dub, that's why he avoided me. But there was one night where I was hanging out at Sean's, I asked him to come over and he said no. Not counting going to the movies, I think I hung out with Dan twice this past summer. I remember him telling me "Dude, it's the summer, we'll have all the time in the world."

I know the kid has mad work to do for college, but I know he doesn't have it all the time, and the shit he pulled over the summer was ridiculous. It's not just me he's avoiding, he doesn't hang out with anyone anymore. Sean used to be his friend, and not mine, Royce's, or Shiny's. Within a year he has become a close friend to me, and a more distant friend of Dan's. That's all I can add to this story.

Hey, I'm late to the party =0 oh noes. lol, the only thing I can say is I work with Dan, and he complains about his hours, a lot of school projects that he has to do, and on occasion girlfriend. Now let me set one thing straight Dan does that pisses me off, he says "I can't hang out, I have homework to do." , "I can't, 10 page paper." I'm in the same college as him, and although he takes some more advanced classes then I do, no way have I ever seen anyone receive a 10 page essay to write, or receive work and not be able to hang out. Dan doesn't want to hang out with us because he thinks we want him to dub. Thing is we do, because HE DOESN'T HANG OUT WITH US. I think from the span of June till now, we only hung out 3 or 4 times.

But back to the dubbing, from what I've read, Anime master, send a vocal to Steve, it would be good if someone could do it because me and Steve have too deep of a voice for Zoro. And as for Robin, if worse comes it I can always play her, not too shabby at a western girl voice. Don't have doubts beloved fans, the movie will be released. And it will be the best fucking thing you have ever seen.

I'll be sending him some voice samples with some of Dan's characters. Although it'll be kind of crappy since I lack a mic. I'll be planning on getting one, though.

Actually, the last time we hung out with him, we didn't ask him to dub. We were just hanging outside Steve's outside joking around, but we actually had to get someone else to convince him to come hang out because he said he had "school work" on a saturday night, which is what he has been saying for the past 2 months. Dan's just not the same guy anymore.

This isn't the best idea, heck it might be a pretty bad idea, but is there any way we, the fans, could just contact Dan and tell him how we at least feel? But then again, this seems like a personal issue and since people like me don't know Dan personally it might just make things worse, after all we can't just tell him to start dubbing again and we don't know him personally so what could we say?

I don't know exactly what's going on but it sounds like Dan is just going through some kind of problem, or set of problems, that he just doesn't want to let anyone else know about. It's obvious it has to do with Dan being sick of being prodded into dubbing, but I have a feeling there's more to it. I mean, I can tell by the sound of his voice that he has fun doing it, why he just be against it? I can understand if he didn't like how the dubbing suddenly seemed like it was becoming a job, but the way I'm hearing it it sounds like it's gotten ridiculous, and that his avoidance has more to with the dubbing.

Like I said, maybe he's going through some kind of depression or something and he wants to be left alone, I know how that feels. I mean having a bunch of responsibilities is a somewhat common excuse for not wanting to come out and deal with other people who care about you. I mean how could a friend just change like that in only a few months?

Anyway, about casting for the parts, yeah, I guess I could look into it if and when I have the time, I don't know to do and send voiceovers over a long distance but I've got my connections. But, I mean, having someone who's not actually part of the team could really throw off the spirit of the dubs, it's improv after all.

I doubt Dan would actually care about the fans. What I can't stand is that he never said anything to my face, and when I tried talking to him about it on AIM, he backed down. And when Shiny talks to him and he responds sarcastically, what else can you do? Even if he were to agree to dub, I don't think I'd want him to. I wouldn't feel like I was having fun with someone who didn't want to dub.

That's what I'd be concerned about, why Dan is being avoidant, 'cause so far it doesn't sound like he has a good reason. But it just sounds like he's over-stressing himself about his repsonsibilities.

Then again maybe Dan is just isolating himself for some reason. I know you said it wasn't out of depression DW but some are just better at not showing it than others are. I talked to Dan a few times on AIM and personality wise he never seemed like the kind of person who would just start isolating everyone around him without a reason.

No, but I'm just trying to think of what could be happening. DW and Shiny (or one of them, I'm not gonna go back a few pages) said that they've asked to hang out with him even for not dubbing, and he still avoids them. So by that logic I'd say it's possible there are just other reasons he's changed.

Really, there's nothing I can do for you guys. Why would I beg someone who doesn't want to do this in the first place to do it? I can work out my friendship issues with him, but he doesn't care about dubbing anymore. It became really apparent when his "improv" was lacking, yet he didn't want to do another take.

Mkay I will watch all the Dub Piece I can and then send the product to Steve. I'm probably gonna do "Man I Hate Pillow Biters" and "What do you get with a filler and a villain? A fillain. HURHURHUR" lines. I'll get that for tomorrow.

A trailer I did for a huge event that my pals from the MMC are doing. I did all the voices so if any of them fit any character, let me know. I also have Adobe Audition, which can alter my voice further and add effects to it, like all the robots in the above trailer.

Oh I didn't mean it that way, but I just wasn't clear whether he was done for good or not, and that it really was just the dubbing that pissed off and nothing more. But that's fine, you'll find some good voices down the line.

OMG. That's the same thing that happened to my brother. My friends and I never see the guy anymore, cause that girlfriend of his constantly wants all the attention. He never makes movies with me anymore, and he spends most of his time talking to this girl on his phone. Hours and hours on end. If that's a similar case with Dan, it may be difficult to convince him otherwise. It may be completely different from my brother's situation for all I know though.

Yeah I think we're more concerned about you rekindling your friendship then Dan voicing the lines right now. Dan can just do that when he wants too right now getting your friendship straightened out is more important.

Oh jeez, so THAT'S it? I've been through something similar. My friend had been going out for this girl for well over a year and as the relationship went on he felt more and more miserable. He didn't go and abandon his friends and change his life in accordance to what his girlfriend wanted, but it got ridiculously frustrating for me to watch. Thankfully they're broke up, and things are much better for both of them.
