I was disappointed by some of the edits, but I know they have to do them. But I liked all the voices a lot this episode.

Except 4Kids also changed Luffy punching Crocodile in the face to him punching Crocodile in the shoulder, instead. 4Kids DOES have a history of changing things for the sake of edits. They changed Kohza getting shot in the shoulder by a rifle…to getting three fire arrows to the shoulder without bursting into flames.
Which is so much less violent by the way. XD

Forgot to mention how awesome Bellamy's voice is. I'd have to say that his is my favorite voice in the series so far. I can't wait to hear Kuma, Doflamingo, and Mihawk's voice next week. We also get to see if his necklace is edited or not (I'm betting it won't but I guess the sword could've been left alone because it's not as obvious a cross as his necklace). We also get to see if Kuma's bible has bible written on it or not.
I can't wait to hear Doflamingo either. Too bad Kuma never had any lines in the Japanese version.

That's not the one I'm talking about. I'm talking about BEFORE Gum Gum Storm. Luffy originally punched Crocodile square in the face. This was edited to him punching Crocodile in the shoulder.

Most of the edits so far have been because they were blows to the head or face, which tend to be more brutal. 4kids would just make the blow hit somewhere else, but at least Funi implies it.
Then again, the new episode hasn't aired yet for me, so there could be more edited than I think there is.

On the subject of editting I am sure that as time goes on there will be less edits to the violence. It will take time to get this to happen. I started to watch Naruto on CN. In the beginning they edited more of the violence but now as time has gone by it has gotten less.
I have to wonder if the edits for Funi One Piece are being done more because instead of the show being shown as something for little kids now it is being shown as a mature story for young adults. Now it might make sense to have less edits but now the action is back to being completely serious. So that may be one reason for the edits.
I believe that with time the edits will lessen.
Now I must say that I am really liking how the dubbing is going. I am also happy when I hear the great BMG. So I believe that slowly One Piece is recovering from the injury that 4Kids dealt it. However it will need more time before all the bugs are worked out.

I wonder if 4KIDS would have said that Cricket was sick. Or maybe they would just show him falling asleep in the middle of the fight and have Chopper say that he was tired or something. =/

Well I for one am sad they have to edit what they do in One Piece.. but what worries me the MOST is what's going to happen to Water 7.. MY GOD.. there's SOOOO much violence in that arc, Iceberg getting shot, Paulie getting stabbed multiple times, Tom-san being stabbed through with a harpoon, Robin point 4 guns at Iceberg and him pointing one at her, and many.. many.. MANY other violent things and everyone is soo bloody xD I just… am trying not to imagine all the edits.. xD
Thank god they'll have uncut dvd's xD

I'm pretty sure the edits will lighten up by Water 7, so I wouldn't worry about it until we actually get there. And, like you said, there's uncut dvds!
I'm not sure about Iceberg appearing in Unlimited Adventure, though, since I don't have it. (I plan on getting the English version once it comes out.)

I imagine this is gonna sound pretty lame, but I think this has got to be viewed as a little plant that has to be allowed to grow to fruition. Just give it time, it'll happen.

This was a great episode as usual. But I am a little irritated by the fact that cartoon network rated it with PG-V rating when it really didn't deserve it. It made me think they loosened up on the edits. But what can ya do?

Also, one other things I should mention:
FUNimation, despite editing the "R" to "L", they left the dry blood on Zoro's picture alone. The "Marine" logo (what you could see on the picture, due to being mostly obscured) was also left alone. While I know it shouldn't be a surprise, since 4Kids did before did leave the dry blood, but given FUNimation editing static blood initially, It's a slight surprise FUNimation didn't here.

Honestly either you're still suckling from 4kids nipple or you just can't accept that some necessary edits need to be made. We all knew before the dub started that it WOULD be like this, and I have to say that Funi has not done a bad job at all. You're just throwing a pity party now and honestly no one is playing the world's tiniest violin for you.

Remember that Mcfarland said they can't show the connection between the face and the fist/knee/something. I watched that clip you posted, Lobster, and it's a back view of Croc, so you don't actually see Luffy's fist connect. That's why it was left unedited.
