@Refii:
Why is Cindry's ass so much perkier than Robin's? I realize you can't see Robin's behind, but when you drew the full body you kinda jipped her on the junk =/
Anyway, HOLY SHIT this is incredible. It's almost unreal to me that your drawing looks so disgustingly clean. How, how how do you manage to keep it so clean after erasing all those times? If I erased JUST ONCE and it was a tiny mark it would show 10x more than the darkest of inkjobs in the final sketch. This is really hot shit man, your greyspreads should seriously be sold officially on T-Shirts and OP merchandise.
Would it actually be ok with you if I actually were to print one on a shirt?
I wouldn't sell it =p It would be for me.
What is Luffy doing btw? Is he laughing or slapping Ussop? Sorry, I'm just a little confused.
I can kinda see what Majek means about Nami's face, Robin's face is fine as is, but Nami's face is a little weird, maybe because she reminds me of another anime..
nami looks like a pretty boy in this one. i think that face and eyes is partly my reborn-influenced style (i draw too much gay thanks to reborn).
luffy is laughing and slapping his own thigh. i DID realize that that pose can be mistaken as him slapping usopp, that's why i was gonna make him hold his hat instead, but i like this pose so i stuck with it. xD
how do i make it clean? if you look very carefully, especially the hi-resolution version, you can see that it is not anywhere near clean. but because there are so many thicker dark lines around it you can't see all the pencil marks.
as for tools, if you have a tendency to press hard, try using a wooden pencil instead of mechanical pencil, and use an H or 2H. the higher the number in front of the H means the lighter the pencil is. i used 3H to sketch this. when you use H wooden pencils, though, you do NOT want to sharpen it to really really sharp. you want to use it somewhat blunt. it works best that way.
i would also recommend picking the right kind of eraser. staedtler mars plastic is still my favorite. it erases very cleanly.
