Did anyone else noticed that Fox is getting his shit rocked in the third straight update.
Super Smash Bros Brawl

However, where is the puff? We need Jiggly!
I think its time for a long-deserving Pokemon to get his due in this game: Where's Meowth!?
-
Mewtwo >>>>>>>>> Meowth.
-
Wohoo! Bowser is in the game! and he looks awesome
-
I like how Bowser looks but his feet look….kind of stubby.
-
Bowser looks awesome.
My favorite attack of Bowser's is the slash attack. -
And hold on? Microsoft has bought video game developer RARE, so does this mean no Donkey King this time around??? Cause I really and I mean really want Diddy Kong and Banjo Kazooie to be in this game! That would suck so bad! I mean….who doesnt want to kick Banjo and Kazooie's ass? I do.....
The Kongs and Kremlings belong to Nintendo. I'm pretty sure that the other Diddy Kong Racers (Timber, Tiptup, etc.) also belong to Nintendo, if DKR DS is any indication. Out of Rareware's characters that appear in Donkey Kong-related games, the only ones that they own are from the Banjo and Conker series.
-
Nintendo has always owned Donkey Kong and Star Fox character - they simply allowed Rare, a second party company at the time, to create games with the said characters and themes.
-
that image of him in his shell glaring at Pikachu is so PERFECT
-
Whatever the confusion over the DKC characters was, there definately was some legal confusion for a period, but that's obviously been resolved. The whole DKC crew has returned to Nintendo titles (notice they appeared no where outside the DKC franchise until recently)
Anyways, all the DKC characters have begun popping up the DK rhythm titles as well as Mario sports titles, so they're obviously completely in Nintendo's grasp again.
And E3 is next week, so we'll hopefully be getting some new information. Hopefully some new characters, like ACTUAL new characters. And if they still intend on the game coming out in 2007, then we'll hopefully see some kind of release date (or at least an estimate)
-
There was never any legal "confusion." There are was discussion about which series RARE would be allowed to keep, but that's about it. Nintendo owned the rights to the Donkey Kong character and any similar characters created and based upon Donkey Kong, which was agreed upon when RARE began creating Donkey Kong Country games.
But yeah, E3 starts next Wednesday. We'll know all the big news about Smash Bros. [likely including a release date] by July 13th.
-
…That's assuming E3's not as scaled down as some are reporting.
-
E3 just isn't available to the public, is all. Plenty of companies, such as G4 and IGN, have been granted access to the convention and are allowed to release information to the public.
Nintendo has already stated that they're going to reveal as much information at this E3 as they would any other E3.
Basically, they made E3 more about video games and less about slutty women attempting to lure adolescent male gamers to their booths.
-
Though I'm sure Sakurai and his gang are trying hard to make characters suck less, I still have a bad feeling that Bowser's "new flavor" will just be another way for him to suck immensely.
@Tokoro:

Actually, I think he and Lucario are the most likely to be new additions from the Pokemon series. They're pretty much the only Pokemon I can think of that have enough notoriety to make it in, and who could actually fit in gameplay-wise.
-
Smash Bros. isn't ever going to be a balanced series. The fact that it's a party game developed by Nintendo, and the fact that the game isn't being developed strictly for a competitive scene, just means that somebody, if not half the cast, is going to suck major shit.
-
Yeah I never said it would and you're just repeating yourself.
-
Talking is a great way of not thinking of a way to draw part of the illustration.
-
@Cyringohn:
Mewtwo >>>>>>>>> Meowth.
Mewtwo is alright but overrated from being the first "super-uber" Pokemon. He could still be hidden but I want Meowth to replace Jigglypuff as the second Pokemon, considering he's got a considerable amount of moves and is the second face of the franchise after Pikachu. (well OK, actually its Pikachu, then the starters of said generation or Pika-clone, then Meowth..but still..)

Deoxys could also be a contender. He's a legendary, has a movie, his own themed booster pack in the card game, Nintendo has given him more versions than anyone else (a different version of Deoxys for each version of the games) And they've given him a pretty wide set of moves that they could implement into the game.
Personally I think Meowth and Deoxys are the two that deserve playable spots.
And I DEMAND that Psyduck be in the pokeballs this time around! Before Misty left the show he was a regular on the show, and got just as much screentime as Pikachu, Meowth, and waaay more than Jigglypuff.
-
I always thought Meowth would be in Brawl… I'm still baffled there's no baby form of Meowth, 'cause it sounds exactly like something Gamefreak would do.
-
Hey, Deoxys actually can work. That'd be kind of cool.
And Psyduck has needed to be in the game for a while.
-
Blaziken is the one Pokemon that I always thought would fit well in Smash, while we're on the subject.
-

Mewtwo needs to remain in the game for the mere fact that he represents the villains. Moreover, Mewtwo is about iconic as you get, Pokémon-wise - he was the first super powerful legendary Pokémon in the series.
-

Blaziken was the one I always rooted for. But now, I'm not holding my breath on it getting in.
It's really too bad, he could've been awesome.
-
Blaziken would probably play to much like Captain Falcon, so that could lead him not being in it. Sure be cool though if he was playable.
-
I would also like to see Deoxys in the game
-
Bowser looks even better than he did in Melee. And I like the idea of assist trophies, despite them being exactly like pokeballs.
-
Today's update, Bowser being able to go Giga Bowser for his final smash.
Oh god I lol'd. XDD
-Zera
-
So Bowser's Final Smash is pretty damn awesome. Giga Bowser!
-
Bowser's final smash is awesome.
It will be fun using Giga Bowser in a fight. -
That's one glorious Final Smash. I love how Sakurai basically summed up on how attacking him is utterly useless.
-
Wow, I think this is the first time I've actually been really interested in playing Bowser.
-
lucario could be kinda awesome in the game
hope he wouldnt be a mewtwo clone…
-
Giga Bowser is still ugly.
-
…..holy CRAP that's awesome.
-
Giga Bowser actually looks scary, which is something I'd never have thought possible to see in a game like SSB:B. Awesome update anyway.
-
The shot of Giga Bowser in Yoshi's stage makes him look much more.. vicious. Probably 'cuz the background is so innocent while he's.. well, look at 'em!
3 awesome updates in a row this week. (and this could hint towards a Pig/Monster Ganon transformation from Ganondorf..!)
-
3 awesome updates in a row! Let's see if the streak will continue! I liked playing as Bowser before (mainly because I just play the game for fun and don't care about tiers, tournament play, or stuff like that), and having him be able to transform into a fully-playable Giga Bowser just makes him better!
-
Coming tomorrow:
New item; a Behilet and assist character; Serpico.
-
Oh man, Boswer looks awesome, and this gives me insanely high hopes for Ganondorf. They're definitely the two characters I'm looking forward to playing most.
-
A Giga Bowser that's immune to hit stun.
Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
-
Man, I love Giga Bowser. I loved playing as Bowser and now I can wait to rip the field with Giga Bowser. :)
-
Godammn, G. Bowser just got Juggernaut armor. I'm not liking that, they'll probably deem fit to juice up Master Hand as well. Still, I look forward to the challenge since I never got to play Melee except for a few times.
-
Bowser has the best Final Smash ever
-
I might actually use him now. >_>
-
BEST FINAL SMASH EVER.
Seriously, I loved playing with Bowser in Melee because he was so slow but I was still able to kick alot of ass with him (mind you no one I knew was that good at Melee to begin with). So yeah, I'm fucking stoked to use The Demon King Koopa now.
Gotta love Samus's reaction. -
Giga Bowser scares me. :(
-
The Koopa King just keeps getting juicier by the day.
-
That is abso-fucking-lutely badass.
Even if Bowser sucks as much as he did in Melee, I'll still be playing as him a lot just for that Final Smash. YES.
